Here is a brief rundown of the Operational Costs of your newly acquired ship, The Archelon.
Fuel – The ship can carry up to 50 Fuel Cells. Fuel cells are used as follows:
• ½ for each takeoff or landing or reaching jump distance
• 1 per Hyperspace jump
• 1 per 6 hours IN Hyperspace
• 1 per 12 hours in real space
• 1 per 1 hour of combat maneuvers
• 1 per 1 hour of atmospheric flight
• 1 per 24 hours of Standby
• 1 additional per maximum cargo load (realspace and atmospheric ops)
Docking fees – vary from 15cr to 150cr or more depending on the starport. Docking fees in Mos Espa are 50cr.
Consumables – The ship can host up to 12 individuals (minimum 2 crew) and has room for 2 months of consumables. That equates to a consumables maximum of 720. Each person uses 1 per day.
Filling the ship to the maximum with fuel in Mos Espa will cost 25cr x 50 capacity or 1250cr.
Filling the Consumables Storage fully would stock the current crew of four for 6 months. Each unit here in Mos Espa costs 15cr. Costs for 2 months would be 3600cr, 4 months would be 7200cr and fully stocked for max crew for 2 months would be 10,800cr.
Assuming that you fill the ship entirely with fuel and load up 1 month of consumables for 5 people (1 extra just in case) = 150 consumables, plus the docking fee, the group will have to pay 1250 + 2250 + 50 = 3550cr.
As an example, Tatooine to Sullust using the hyperspace lanes will take 3 days travel. It will use approximately 14 fuel cells under normal conditions each way and cost 700cr. It will use up 28 consumable units, assuming 1 day on site for 420cr. Docking fees and power for a day will be another 70 cr. In all the trip will cost 1190cr (based on Mos Espa pricing) at the minimum.
