I was thinking about where to start with all this and I thought a little bit of an introduction was in order. The idea for this forum game actually came about from my recent stumbling across notes and characters from a short-lived Birthright campaign I ran back in 2003. Some of the characters appearing in that campaign actually date back to original concepts I had created and played in 1986. The storyline and the way the game unfolded in 2003 was more reminiscent of a regular D&D campaign than a Birthright campaign and it’s untimely ending left many, many areas unexplored and questions unanswered in such a rich and detailed world. I felt like this might be the way to re-enter this world and see what it has to offer.
I’m also looking forward to gaming again with people that I haven’t been able to for some time - in some cases a decade or more! As most who have played in my games know I will be using a lot of established 2nd edition rules along with a healthy dose of my own house rules. No one has to worry about dice rolling (except me!) and can instead focus on their characters and the unfolding story. In any case everything will be explained in the other sections of this informational forum. If there is something I missed or that you want to know more about, please ask. Enough of my ramblings.
