The Principal Players:

Aria Stonehand - Dwarven battlemaiden, former leader of the recovery force. Currently enthralled by the Iron Orb.

Daraden Stormbeard - Dwarven Animal Master with his wolven companion Darkfang.

Farian Silverpike - Recovery force scout.

Grondar Foehammer - Priest of Berronar Truesilver, new leader of the expedition.

Oran Firehammer - Warrior of some renown. Wields the Firehammer.

Rat - A halfling finder.


Recovery Force: (total of 20 dwarves 15 male, 5 female.)

Baluk Ironforge - Foreman. Assistant to Aria and leader of the recovery force. He's the one who assigns the word details. A skilled miner.

Dougan Ironhammer - Priest of Moradin Soul Forger, the Father of the Dwarves (& Berronar's husband.) Dougan is dressed in plate mail armor and his shiny warhammer rests in his belt. His shield bears the symbol of Moradin: a hammer ready to strike an anvil.

Jennak Firehand (f) - Miner. Young female dwarf who is greatly interested in the teachings of Berronar.

Salem Ironring - Scout. Skilled in exploring underground tunnels and mines. Killed in the raid on the Duergar fortress.

Senoia Redrock (f) - Female warrior. She has blonde hair that is done up into two pigtails, wears chainmail armor and carries a pair of warhammers with her. Eager for battle.

Thenek Strongaxe - Head Miner. Known for breaking into song while excavating.

Udall Granitecrusher - Miner. Grizzled veteran miner.

Derek Eaglesight - Leader of the 25 man elfin archer unit.

Lt. Wyndham - Fort Commander of the base 100 troops. Assisted by Sgt's. Paxton and Haines.

Priestess of Azrella - Olivia. (medic)

Priests of Heironeous - Rexford, Eaton, and Radly

Priests of Helm - Fenwick, Mal

Sgt. Irwin - Commander of the 16 man Pyrisian Ballista crew.

Dwarves of Mountain Lake:

Total population is around 450. Here are some of the more notable townsfolk.

Lan Armstrong – Captain of the Guard.

Lotha Armstrong – Lieutenant of the Guard, Lan’s younger brother.

Arlos Blitzener - Mayor Mountain Lake. Older dwarf, over 300. Has brown hair and a long, brown beard braided and knotted that he usually wraps around his neck. Both his hair and beard are liberally streaked with gray. Grondar will note that he wears a bonding ring.

Dona Blitzener - Wife of the mayor. Nearly 300 years old with auburn hair and beard. Also wears a bonding ring.

Jack Buttergut – Proprietor of the Foaming Mug Tavern. Goldie’s adoptive father.

Goldie Buttergut - Goldie stands out amongst the crowd of dwarves as she is taller and less stocky then your typical dwarven maiden. Furthermore, her hair and beard are butterscotch gold in color and curled into beautiful ringlets. Her eyes are bright blue. She is quite attractive.

Pearl Cuttingclose – Proprietress of the First Axe, a weapons shop. She is with child.

Strapp Deepwell – Head Smith at the Mountain Lake Smithy.

Zeppur Earblast – Master metalsmith.

Ruby Fireforge – Proprietress of the Metal Man, an armor shop.

Huk Highhill - Operator of the Inn with his wife Marthe.

Jenna Highhill – Proprietress of Jenna’s Gems and Jewels.

Tok Ironsmith – Master armorer.

One Eyed Jack – Proprietor of One Eyed Jack’s Custom Crafted Curious.

Opal Kriegstrum – Lieutenant of the guard, the only female dwarf in the guard. Slain by the Iron Orb.

Barlett Rattsnatcher - Proprietor of the local general store.

Ligonspot Shortshrift – Proprietress of Javam Mountain Outfitters.

Hoaten Thee – Master smith.


Priests of Dumanthoin, the Keeper of the Secrets Under the Mountain.
