Outside Horton's Plaza...
At the saucer wreckage several unusual beings are engaged in conversation. Yu and It were there initially and others came back. First the Silver Avenger returned, soon followed by Goldstar carrying Frostbite and Flux. Conversation follows with the Silver Avenger requesting that everyone stand ready just in case more trouble arises or if those beings already defeated recover.
"Yu help!", the spitball squishes out. The gooey being quivers slightly at the presence of normal people, but is trying hard to not show its fear. "Yu friend!"
"Glad to hear it," the Silver Avenger comments with a tinge of sarcasm in his voice. He, like most here, has no idea what to make of the unusual creature. At least he(?), it(?), wasn’t causing any trouble.
Goldstar immediate agrees and flies up into the air leaving a wake of glittering sparkles behind her. She hovers about forty feet overhead and keeps watch for danger.
Back down on the ground, Frostbite unexpectedly reverts back to his human form. This shocks him as well as those around him. He happily pats his body as if making sure that he really is normal again.
Flux wonders if the effect just wore off or if Frostbite willed the change to happen. Frostbite doesn't know and tries a little experiment. He concentrates and his body ices up once more! He can change forms at will.
"Yu protect!", the spitball unexpectedly cries out. A pseudo-pod suddenly shoots out away from everyone. About thirty feet away, the flaming form of Fire & Ice is just getting to his feet.
"I'm through being pushed around!", Fire & Ice shouts as ice covers him once more. "Now I'm gonna be the one doing the pushing!" With that, he dramatically throws his hands out as if he's going to attack.
Yu gets there first and touches Fire & Ice with his tentacle. The flames around the man suddenly flicker and then go out. The man underneath the fire and ice stands there in shock. He pats himself on the chest uttering, "I'm human..."
A brief silence follows that is interrupted by Goldstar. The golden-skinned heroine shouts down from her overhead position. "Hey, would that count as trouble?"
Goldstar points off into the distance. An ivory white-skinned woman with silvery hair and wings is menacing one of the numerous news helicopters overhead. She flies around the copter as if she's going to be attacking at any second.
"And what about that?"
Goldstar points in another direction down the street. While no one can clearly see what is going on, there are strange bright flashes of light illuminating part of the street. (You're seeing the light illuminating buildings, not the source of the light itself.) No one can tell if it is just an extremely bright light going off and on, or something even stranger and dangerous.
A loud crash of what sounds like a car being crashed into something or smashed fills the air. This noise, accompanied by screaming, is heard further along another street. You can't see the source of the trouble itself, but it must be just around the corner and currently blocked from sight.
"If you guys want to help, you might want to investigate these strange occurrences," the Silver Avenger states. "Sounds like more trouble is whipping up."

Inside Horton’s Plaza…
Serena and Lily tentatively step up to Green Steel in the wake of Gray Steel falling to pieces before their very eyes. Green initially refuses Serena’s offer to be healed, but then changes his mind.
Complying with the armored man’s wishes, she casts her healing spell once more. The magic does its work and Green does feel much better. Upon later inspection, he’ll find that the wounds on his chest have closed up and several bear no scar markings at all. (Back to full STUN, BODY is 11 of 13.)
Green asks if anyone has seen Blue Steel. Neither Lily nor Serena has seen the last member of the Steel Squadron. Lily continues on to retrieve her bags, Serena following behind her.
Green Steel wanders the immediate area. He passes close to the large red skinned man slumped near the bottom of a wall he had been smashed into. Green gives the man a casual look and continues on. Stopping in mid-stride, Green turns back and gives the unconscious man a much closer inspection. There is more than a passing resemblance between this man and Red Steel!
On the other side of the courtyard, Serena approaches a strange fog bank. The fog is thick and blocks everyone’s sight. Serena calls out to the fog bank, “Are you all right in there? Do you need assistance?”
There is no response and Lily rejoins Serena. Lily stares at the fog, trying to see just who or what Serena is speaking to. Feeling a slight tingling in her ears, Lily’s hearing unexpectedly amplifies to superhuman levels. With her newly enhanced sense of hear, Lily can clearly make out the sounds of someone breathing inside the fog bank. Whoever it is, it sounds like they are on the verge of panic. Their breath is coming faster than normal.
“Please stay away!”, a female voice pleads from inside the fog. “I don’t want to hurt you! Go away!”
Upon hearing the voice, Green Steel realizes that it is Blue Steel who cried out. He immediately crosses the plaza and joins Lily and Serena. Along the way he spots the icy remains of Blue Steels armor. It has the appearance of having been frozen solid and then shattered.
Before anyone can respond to Blue Steel, the sound of laughter reaches their ears. Turning around, the trio can see Hellfire regaining consciousness and laughing manically to himself. His demonic features fade away once more and this body shimmers. Effortlessly he emerges from the metallic pillar that had been imprisoning him. With a flick of his wrists, foot long ruby claws emerge from his hands.
“Let’s get busy!”, Hellfire gleefully announces as he becomes solid once more. “We need some more blood and guts around here!”

GM Notes:
GM Notes:
Flux, Frostbite, and Goldstar are outside with the Silver Avenger, It, and Yu. Several potential threats have turned up, but only the silver winged woman is clearly visible overhead. The others you’d have to travel towards to get a better idea about what is going on.
Inside the plaza are Green Steel, Lily, & Serena being confronted by a reactivated Hellfire. You are also all aware that the woman who was Blue Steel is inside the icy fog. And just how long until some of the others start to come around?
Your turn!

GREEN STEEL:
The armored hero is surprised when talking to Serena that she heals him right then and there! "Whoa. That's pretty wild! I thought you meant we were going somewhere and fix me up the old-fashioned way." Green Steel rolls his shoulders and puts his gauntlet to his armored chest. "That feels incredible. Toots, you're really something else." As Serena walks away following the normal woman, Green Steel thinks to himself, "This sure beats the medi-bot back at the HQ."
Surveying the area and the damage, and looking for some sign of the remaining two Steel Squadron members, something catches GS's eye. The large red-skinned man looks somewhat familiar. Green Steel turns back around, after having passed the man's unconscious form, and gives him another look. "I've got a bad feeling about this. Carl always was a hot-headed psycho." Still kneeling next to the red-skinned man, Green Steel surveys the area. His computer enhanced vision and computer camera picks up bits of red armor, shattered and scattered about the battlefield. "Whatever happened here really messed us up bad. I wonder why I wasn't affected." Green Steel looks at his gauntleted hands, flexing them and turning them while not knowing what he is looking for. He looks at Rage once more, grabbing him by the chin and really examining his features closely. "Damn," is all he says and he stands up again.
Just then, a familiar voice catches Green Steel's ears. "Blue?", Green Steel says in surprise. "Holy crap, maybe I wasn't the only one who survived this disaster." Green Steel rockets across the plaza at a very low altitude, basically using his jet pack as rapid transit. He lands near a fog bank, where the woman in armor is standing. Along the way, Green Steel's visual receptors picked up images of the shattered remains of Blue's armor. He was only now realizing that Blue must have been transformed as well and burst from her armor, much like Red Steel must also have.
Green Steel kicks on his thermal viewer, but the icy fog shrouds most of the heat in the area. There seems to be a form that is even colder than the surrounding area, crouched or kneeling, towards the back. Before Green can get a word out of his mouth, Hellfire spouts off again.
Green Steel turns and watches his foe emerge from his 'prison'. Red talons shoot from the villain's hands. "Alright, butt ugly! I'm ready for you this time," Green Steel shouts towards Hellfire.
Green Steel will take to the air and close the distance. He will then Martial Strike with his levels on OCV to help protect himself from getting hit by those claws. Boost his strength while doing so and hopefully tag that ugly sucker. If Hellfire is stunned or has his attention drawn by others, then he will use his full KA (Talons) on the demon. "Come on Blue, we got some trash to finish disposing of!"

Flux:
No rest for the aged, thinks Flux.
"Yes sir. I'll take the street with the crashing sounds. I recommend Goldstar handle the winged woman."
With that Flux shifts to Desolid and cuts the corner to gain maximum time to the site of the disturbance.
More people changed or more demons on the rampage? Betting on the former. Reason didn't work last time so I'd best prepare for the worst.
Too bad the effects don't wear off for the crazy ones. Maybe if I drag them over to Yu...?
With that thought in mind Flux will plan to subdue his upcoming opponent and return them to the saucer site for a 'treatment' by Yu.

Goldstar to the rescue!
Goldstar:
Backtracking a bit…
When Frostbite mentions feeling like a Lost Boy that makes Goldstar pause. “How can you be lost? You’re right here!”
Goldstar isn’t as taken aback when Frostbite changes back. “You mean you didn’t know you could do that? That’s strange.” From her perspective at least!
Present…
Goldstar hangs high overhead keeping a vigilant eye out for any more trouble. Looking up she spots the woman with the silver wings buzzing around one of the helicopters. She looks familiar and Goldstar realizes that she was here on the ground earlier when she changed forms. Seems to be a lot of that going on around here as of late.
No matter, Goldstar has a duty to perform and she calls down to the man in charge. "Hey, would that count as trouble?" Before she receives an answer, Goldstar spots the bright flashes of light coming from an adjacent street. They are bright and mysterious and Goldstar seems compelled to go and check them out.
However, Flux’s words reach her ears before she can act on that impulse. “I recommend that Goldstar handle the winged woman.”
“Gosh, you’re smart! I forgot that you guys can’t fly. Okay, I’ll go see what’s bothering the winged woman.”
With the battle cry of “Stellar!”, Goldstar flies off towards the winged woman. Once close enough, Goldstar will try to get in between the winged woman and the helicopter.
“Hey! Stop that! Quit being mean to those people!”
Should the winged woman attack either the helicopter, or myself Goldstar will shift to Neutron Star form and try to grabbed and restrain her. Should that fail then attack with a Photon Blast first. Should that prove ineffective, then go with an Ion Blast.

The arrogant man in the green armor seems to totally ignore Lily. It has long been Lily's impression that most superhumans thought way too highly of themselves, and this one's behavior does little to change the notion. This spoiled child in a man's body is obviously not worth any more of her time, so Lily continues on, collecting her things.
Some moments later, standing in front of the misty cloud, a strange feeling comes over Lily. Suddenly, she can hear a heartbeat coming from the mist. A voice rings out from within, seeming to boom unbearably in Lily's now hyper-acute ears. She drops to her knees, hands covering her ears in an attempt to block out the terrible noise.
A motion to her side attracts Lily's attention, just in time to witness the arrival of the green-clad egotist. Grimacing, she ignores the man and turns her attention to wondering what has happened to herself, and the woman in the cloud. The tingling sensation seems to be fading, but still she hears the words of the bizarre clawed man clearly through her hands.
Green-armor-guy seems more than willing to engage the freak with the claws. Rising to her feet, Lily speaks into the mist, "Hello? Are you alright, ma'am? Are you hurt?" Real concern tinges her voice.

backing up a bit
*smiles at goldstar* "Ill show you some other time, Its a book."
--------------------
When I begin to concentrate on the icy from that I have known my body begins to turn white and begins radiating cold once again. Looking down at my ice white hands "Well, At least Im not stuck in this form all the time. Might as well make the best of it." I think to myself in a mild tone.
"Yu protect." the blob looking thing yells as a tenicle lashes out hitting a flame/ice man
"Nice work Yu!" looking shocked at the outcome. "How did you do that?"
High above Goldstar warns of varies occurances happening around us. A winged women terrorizing a helicopter another of some strange lights, and whats sounds like a very bad car crash near by.
When Silver avenger asks us to help out and investage these occurances a surge of pride washes over me. "Yes sir! Um sir, by chance do you have a spare radio or anything we can transmit information back to you?"
"Flux, Care for some help? There are safety in numbers and we dont know whats out there."
If he doesnt accept my help I will run as fast as I can toward the light show find cover and observe whats going on.

"True point. Are you ready to take the risk? I can probably use the extra hand"
No sense trying to go it alone now. Can't tell how many crazies there's going to be coming out of the woodwork.
"Just be careful of contact with any friendlies. You have a...chilling effect at close range" I say with a grin in my voice.
If Frostbite goes with him Flux will forgo passing through buildings to cut corners and instead stay with Frostbite but still desolid.

Serena
Serena:
Serena is mildly taken aback by the Green Knights words and demeanor. It appears that he has been through a great deal in the last few minutes, so it could just be the situation that is making him so abrupt. Comrades in arms have died and he himself has been badly wounded. He’s dealing with a great many trying circumstances. Still, that’s no excuse for poor manners from her perspective. She, like all of her order, has the highest of ideals to life up to no matter the circumstances.
Of course, the order this Green Knight belongs to may not have the same ideology. There are those orders that are more concerned with deeds then they are with words. Orders for those who still seek to do good even if they have trouble in relating to others.
“My name is Serena, not toots,” the Knight corrects upon the completion of her healing spell. “I am a Knight of the Order of the Golden Chalice. To which order do you hold allegiance, good sir knight? And you are welcome. Always a pleasure to help others.”
Continuing on with Lily, Serena investigates the person she senses inside the fog bank. A voice calls out from inside the cloud, pleading that we keep our distance. Serena does not understand her reasoning, but will comply with the woman’s wishes. However, Serena is not going to abandon her.
But before Serena can ask any follow up questions, several things happen seemingly at once. Lily drops to her knees and appears to be in pain. At the same time, the demon I sensed earlier in the metallic pillar is active once more. For a split second Serena considers what to do. There really is no choice. The demon must be dealt with and Blessed Salvation is drawn.
However, the Green Knight is already moving to intercept this monstrosity. Then it all clicks together in Serena’s head. The wounds on the knights’ chest bare a striking resemblance to the demon’s claws. Perhaps that was how he was wounded. Perhaps this is a duel of honor for the knight to fight in. A chance to reclaim his lost honor. So be it.
Serena then sheathes her Holy Sword and will allow the Green Knight to the chance to dispatch this vile foe first. Instead, Serena will bend down to check on Lily. She will keep on eye on the battle in case the Green Knight should need assistance.
“Are you injured? What is the matter?”
Quickly realizing that Lily isn’t injured, but rather her hearing has been greatly enhanced, Serena will lower her voice accordingly. “You possess some very unique abilities, Lily. First you could run at incredible velocities and now your hearing has been amplified. What other things can you do?”
Lily vocalizes questions similar to Serena’s own to the woman inside the cloud. For the moment, Serena will wait to see what the answers to Lily’s queries are while keeping an eye on the nearby battle. The Green Knight addressed the woman in the cloud as Blue. Perhaps she is the Blue Knight, another member of the Green Knights colorful order. Perhaps she would be able to explain what has transpired here better.

Lily Pak
Lily:
"Too... loud..." Lily moans, looking up at Serena from her position on the ground. As the tingling in her ears fades, so too does the overwhelming audio assault. "No. I think I'm okay."
Serena's question causes Lily to pause for a moment. "I don't know. I've never done... been able to do anything like this before. It's like some insane god has control of my body and is using it as a playtoy. I wish it would stop; I don't know how much of this I can take."

Try it and find out!

While first speaking with the Green Knight:
“Forgive my lax in manners,” Serena speaks up, “but this is my companion, Lily. She was accosted by a purple monster who also stole her property. Perhaps you have seen said creature?”
Speaking with Lily:
Serena doesn’t know quite what to say to Lily’s statements. The Knight has seen many a strange thing in her day, so someone showing unusual abilities doesn’t surprise her. Still, the Knight does see a pattern emerging.
“Permit me this one observation, but it seems to me that those abilities you have demonstrated are those you have subconsciously caused to happen. You were fleeing from the purple monster and so you ran fast in an effort to get away. You could not see into the fog bank, so your other sense compensated and your hearing was increased. Perhaps with practice you’ll be able to direct these displays of power.”

Lily:
Now that her hearing seems to have faded back to something close to normal, Lily is able to listen to her new companion without pain. Her words make sense... sort of, though Lily still isn't certain why this had to happen to her. It's not as though she wanted these 'powers'. And now that they are here, Lily has doubt that they will cause untold trouble in her life - even if she does someday gain control of them. How will this affect my career? How am I going to explain this to Rose?
"That makes some sense. I do hope you are right. I can't live the rest of my life like this. What kind of parent could I be, if I couldn't even control my own body?"
Lily pauses for a moment, as though gathering her courage. Something about this woman, Serena, inspires trust, so she continues on with her story. "Just before I became conscious and discovered that I was running so fast, I had the strangest dream. I dreamed that I was a bear! And in this dream I was still here, wandering around in this mall, in the body of a bear. It was me, and yet it wasn't, not consciously; I seemed to think and function entirely as a bear, rather than a person. It was the most bizarre dream I have ever had, and yet it was amazing, too."

GREEN STEEL -
[Posted by Serena] Of course, the order this Green Knight belongs to may not have the same ideology. There are those orders that are more concerned with deeds than they are with words.
"Consider me corrected," Green Steel states, still a little surprised by the powers of this 'knight'. "I don't know if you can call me a knight," He pauses to look at his armor. "But I guess I can sorta see where you could be confused. I belong to the Steel Squadron. Well, used to anyway. Three of my team were either killed or something and I don't know what happened to Blue, the last one, yet."
[Serena] “Forgive my lax in manners,” Serena speaks up, “but this is my companion, Lily. She was accosted by a purple monster who also stole her property. Perhaps you have seen said creature?”
Green Steel nods towards Lily when Serena introduces her. "I can't recall seein' any purple monsters around, but it seems like we have a whole rainbow of monsters to choose from," Green Steel indicates around the battlefield.
[From earlier post] As Serena walks away following the normal woman, Green Steel thinks to himself, "This sure beats the medi-bot back at the HQ."
