EV #60 " Wild in the Streets"

The Thugmaster's Elite has come to town and they're not just celebrating the July 4th Holiday! No, they are here to commit crimes and find new recruits! The Vigilant and other local supers are finding out this as the Elite are now running…

Eternal Vigilance #60 - "Wild in the Streets"

Roll Call: Flux & Tesla


En route to the last known location of Wild Wind, the Flux and Tesla instead come across Powerhouse and Chaos trying to rob a bank. The 13' tall Powerhouse had just thrown a truck through the front window, while the ever size-changing Chaos suddenly doubled in size.

"I didn't know the circus was in town," Tesla says to Flux as she changes course and drops in lower, observing the strange pair. She'll bring her force field up while they observe the midget change size.

"If these are the clowns I'll pass on the big show. Watch out for flying cars!"

"I'll take the big guy if you can handle the shifter," Tesla offers, and unless there are any objections, Tesla will open up with an electrical blast to see if she can get the giant's attention.

Tesla slows her approach and once close enough sends a bolt of lightning Powerhouse's way. The bolt connects, and hurts the giant, but Powerhouse is unmoved from the attack. In response, he grabs a mailbox and hurtles it Tesla's way. The electrical heroine easily avoids the makeshift missile.


Nearby, Flux lands before Chaos in his smallest size and then suddenly begins to grow to his largest height!

"You get one, ONE chance to surrender now, then it gets painful for you. I won't tell you twice."

Chaos jaw drops in surprise as Flux seems to grow out of almost nowhere to a huge 38' in height! Chaos is so surprised that he seems unable to even act or respond.

Roll Call: Backlash, Powershift, & Sea Guard


Several blocks away, other Vigilant members were in search of the Elite's speedsters, but instead found yet more Elite. This time in the form of their newer recruits, Rainbow, Sparkler, and Flex robbing a jewelry store!

Backlash announces to his partners that he's going for Flex, while Powershift takes Sparkler.

"Of those three, she is at least somewhat known to me. The sparkles she projects can be lethal!"

That just leaves Rainbow for Sea Guard. The ocean going hero is somewhat at a disadvantage here on land. His elemental ring requires the presence of a large amount of water to work best. Something not easily found here on the Downtown streets! But even without his ring, Sea Guard has other abilities beyond normal men at his command.

Powershift activates his personal force field as he approaches the trio.

"You will cease and desist!" Powerhouse commands. "Step away from the jewelry!"

"Beat it, gringo!" Sparkler retorts.

Turning, the Spanish lass gestures and flings a volley of sparkles Powerhouse's way! Five of the energy missiles slam into Powershift's force field, sparing him any harm!

“I normally do not attack women,” Powershift states, “but in your case I shall make an exception, miss.”

Powershift gestures and a blast of energy comes from his hands. Sparkler bounces away at seemingly the last moment, minor fireworks-like explosions underneath her feet propelling her higher and farther.


Sea Guard closes in on Rainbow, who seems genuinely startled by all of this. “You have no where to run to, miss. Why not make it easy on both of us?”

“I have an even easier solution than that,” Rainbow answered. As she spoke, her body shimmered and turned indigo in color. Then she turned and began to run through the wall and deeper into the jewelry store!


Backlash took a far more direct approach. He simply leaped at Flex, gaining density as he sailed along! Surprisingly, Flex didn’t try to avoid this attack.

“Whoa! Cowabunga, dude!” The villain said, sounding very much like a surfer. As he spoke, Flex’s body began to spread out, becoming larger, but thinner at the same time.

Backlash plowed right into Flex, but it was like he leaped onto a trampoline! Flex’s body gave ground for a few heartbeats, and then flung Backlash back and away!

“I guess it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that you should really look before you leap! Like, totally Dude!”

Roll Call: Blackout


The previously mentioned Wild Wind was attempting her own crime spree, only to attract the attention of Blackout. Blackout has more than succeeded at getting Wild Wind’s attention. She just tossed a car at him!

"Don't worry, the bruises are complementary," Blackout replies. "It'll act as a good foundation when you visit the makeup counter for your free samples."

However, Blackout's wit and sarcasm aren't going to help him with the fact that a parked car is being hurled at him! Still, he can't help himself, "You're a terrible valet. I wouldn't be caught dead in that car!"

Wild Wind just screams in frustration, not finding the words to express her anger at her foe. The car comes sailing across the sidewalk on a low trajectory. Black leaps up, landing on the roof of the car before stepping past it. As he tumbles back to the sidewalk, the dark-clad hero catches his rod on the rebound behind his back without seemingly even looking.

But Wild Wind was not lax while Blackout performed his acrobatics. The air manipulator generated a large burst of wind that covered the entire area around Blackout! The hero simply rode them out, taking only minor damage in the process.

Removing on end of his throwing rod, Blackout tosses it once more. This time a strong line plays out behind it. The rod ricochets off several surfaces around Wild Wind, causing the line to wrap around the villainess.

“It’ll take more than that to reign me in!” Wild Wind cries out. She generates another much stronger burst of wind and the line entwining her is blown away. “You ain’t gonna hogtie me, lawman!”

[GM Mad]

Roll Call: Eldrich

In the private and secure residence of the Magus and the White Witch, Eldrich continues to learn more about his new allies and the strange world he finds himself in.

"The presence of magic might very well aid me to some extent; if what you tell me is true of this realm's feeble magical ambience then an increase near me can only be of benefit. In addition, if I can examine the artifacts they may prove to be of use in our defense."

“Its worth a try then” the Magus agrees. “We’ll show you what we have.”

The White Witch mentions that she has some mental powers of her own in addition to her magical ones, but says that she won’t use them on Eldrich without permission.

"I would be cautious in probing my mind, fair one. There may be traps left within it left there by my enemies. Best not to risk it unless all other options fail. For now it will suffice to restore my knowledge of spells that I may aid you. Let the rest follow when we are more secure."

“That is agreeable,” the White Witch nods. “My powers are not ideal for what we need here. They range more into making others do my bidding, not scanning ones memories.”


Following the magical couple, Eldrich moves deeper into the lower levels of their estate. Behind a locked door you find the other magical couple mentioned before. Laid out on separate cots is a man with black hair and beard, and a woman with black hair dressed all in white. Both of them seem to be asleep.

In adjacent room, behind another locked door are the items the Magus mentioned before. The most notable is a suit of white armor complete with a shield and a mace. Next to these is a sword in a sheath, a cloak, an amulet, a pair of white gloves and a pair of white women’s over the knee boots.

“Here they are,” the Magus says gesturing towards the items. “Perhaps they will be helpful to you.”

Roll Call: Tilt-A-Whirl

Still elsewhere in Downtown San Diego, Tilt has now met another speedster in the form of the Dash who is seemingly Turbo’s mentor.

"you... youwerelookingforme?" Tilt asks, slightly stunned, slightly awed that someone would be interested in seeking her out. Maybe they aren't so bad. After all they were looking for her! That's smart thinking to want the fastest speedster on their team!

“WeheardaboutasuperfastgirlhereinSanDeigoandjusthadtofindoutforourselves”, the Dash explains. “WeElitearealwayslookingforrawtalentseekingtobetterthemselves.

"ialwayshavefunwithmysuperspeed!" Tilt replies to the Dash. what a funny name calling himself "the" Dash she thinks. "turbothinksicanhavemorefunwithyouguysthough!" she says, getting excited and forgetting that she was worried about Turbo's intentions just moments before.

“Let’sfindout,shallwe?” With a grin, the Dash takes off, Turbo following a heartbeat later.

Going to chase after them?

Roll Call: Lily

"Tesseract did mention meeting me again, or having met me before - it's kind of confusing, really..."

“Not really,” Dr. Williams answers. “It all really depends on your point of view. With time travel is possible for two people to have two different first meetings.”

"Whether Tesseract's involved or not, I believe we need to stop whatever Devilspawn and the Coven are up to. We know from experience that anything they do is likely to be bad for the rest of the city."

“On that we are in agreement”, Powershift adds. “That black-hearted witch only lives to cause trouble and suffering.”


After leaving the Vigilant, Lily makes her way to Chollas Park to meet her family for a holiday picnic. The event is going along rather pleasant, when a sudden gust of wind rushes past the table, sending food, drinks, and even people flying!

Gathering herself back up, Lily looks around and realizes that someone just ran past at Superspeed! Her eyes catch a glimpse of a second speedster approaching! It looks like a boy in his early teens!

Roll Call: Cyrus & Gloria

Back in Downtown San Diego, Gloria and Cyrus were going to the movies when a creepy guy in a trench coat changed the young Ms. Starr into stone!

Stunned beyond words, Cyrus transforms into Frostbite right in plain sight! Brother Basilisk seemingly ignores Frostbite and continues to stare at the lovely statue of Gloria.

“Very pretty”, the bizarre man continues to say. “You’ll fit in with my collection.”

Frostbite gestures and he entombs Brother Basilisk in ice!

Turning back to Gloria, just stares at the stone statue before him.


GM Notes:

Moves and dialog for Flux, Eldrich, Frostbite and Backlash were received by Email. Bruce is having computer issues and mailed me from a friend's computer and Dave is involved in moving.

Hero Status:

Blackout – 36 of 39 STUN

Now what?

[Menagerie]

Menagerie:

“Not really,” Dr. Williams answers. “It all really depends on your point of view. With time travel is possible for two people to have two different first meetings.”

"I'm afraid time travel isn't my strong suit; it still seems confusing to me," Lily replies with a shrug.

Lily and her relatives are having a nice picnic to celebrate the 4th. They are all eating at the table when a sudden blast of wind sends everything flying. It takes Lily a moment to figure it out, but she soon realizes that it was a speedster and not the wind!

A flicker in her peripheral vision catches her attention. A quick look reveals another speedster coming their way. Lily realizes that she needs to do something about this now, before someone gets hurt.

Pretending not to be aware of the approaching teen, Lily boosts her reaction time and strength, hoping to catch him by surprise as he runs by.

[Blackout]

Blackout:

"Not very lady-like," Blackout mutters as rolls upright just as his rod comes bounding back, slapping solidly into his waiting hand. Suddenly there is a huge gust of wind buffeting Blackout around. It takes a moment for him to gather his footing again.

Removing on end of his throwing rod, Blackout tosses it once more. This time a strong line plays out behind it. The rod ricochets off several surfaces around Wild Wind, causing the line to wrap around the villainess.

“It’ll take more than that to reign me in!” Wild Wind cries out. She generates another much stronger burst of wind and the line entwining her is blown away. “You ain’t gonna hogtie me, lawman!”

His rod bounces back awkwardly to him, the line trailing behind. As it retracts into the rod, Blackout replies, "And here I just wanted us to spend some time together. It appears though you just want to get right down to it."

Snapping the cap back onto place, Blackout throws the rod once more, hoping to put Wild Wind out quickly. He'll be ready to roll or dive if she should decide to hurl something else at him.

[Tesla]

Tesla:

"Hmmm" she says, watching as Powerhouse takes the blast without much concern. A mailbox sails past her, but she doesn't pay it much heed. It'll take something much larger to really hurt her.

She notices Flux changing size, but that's not going to help her deal with her target just yet. "Let's see if we can slow you down a bit," Tesla says, and she uses her electricity to form a tight cage around Powerhouse. She's curious to see if the electricity's drain will have any effect on the big man.

[Tilt-A-Whirl]

Tilt-A-Whirl:

“Let’sfindout,shallwe?” With a grin, the Dash takes off, Turbo following a heartbeat later.

Tilt smiles and takes off after the Dash and Turbo. She knows she'll catch up easily enough. All that talk from Turbo completely forgotten as she races after the pair. After all, they're just running, which is what she would do anyway!

[Frostbite]

Frostbite

Seeing Gloria turn to stone before his eyes, ripped im to his core his eyes wide in shock he motioned forward as his body was changing gathering icy crystals about his body, leaving his clothes and other articles a shade of them former selves.

"You'll never have her!" he screams out in rage as a jet of ice erupts from his hands. Covering the garbed man in ice. Breathing deeply his emotions began to get the better of him as he looked aback at his girlfriend entombed in stone like that of the legends of Medusa.

A few tears formed within his eyes escaping his tear ducts freezing then falling away from him into nothing more then ice crystal dust.

'I'll get you out of there if its the last thing he does." Concentrating on his Icy facade he will begin to try and generate a protective type armor over his eyes so that the Ice is reflected Like a double sided mirror. If he can do such a thing he will, Pick both "statues" in his arms and find a phone, effectively calling Primus to see if they could help.

[Backlash]

Backlash

Moving forward through the air, Backlash's eyes stared hard at his intended target. His eyes suddenly went wide as he saw the man stretch before him like some kind of elastic! the impact came but the ground was far from from being felt. the next thing Backlash felt was he was soaring through the air, with a loud crunch in the pavement, Backlash landed his density causing a slight pothole within the ground.

Grinding his teeth, "I guess its safe to say that, But I wonder How far you can stretch before you snap like a twig?! Care to find out?"

Moving forward more cautiously this time, Backlash will feint a punch put instead of making contact with the blow will try to grapple him within a firm grip. If he can he will start to spin with the rubberband bandit within his grasp, upon the right time let him go, and see where he lands...

The struggle against Powerhouse continues. Flux seems to have cowed Chaos with a Presence Attack.

After avoiding Powerhouse’s latest missile, Tesla forms a cage of arcing electricity about the giant! It lasts for only a moment as Powerhouse flexes, shattering the cage. Flux then settles the issue, slamming his fist right into the top of Powerhouse’s head, driving the large man deep into the pavement! Powerhouse is down for the count after that.

While the Vigilant members round up their prisoners, they become aware of movement further down the street. They see a surprising sight of a vaguely familiar man all covered in ice carrying another man also covered in ice and what appears to be a statue of a young woman. The familiar man seems to be in a panic.

Roll Call: Backlash, Powershift, & Sea Guard


Not too far away, more of the Vigilant tangle with yet more students of the Thugmaster’s Elite. Sea Guard closed in on the woman called Rainbow, but instead she went intangible and ran away.

Powershift withstood a direct attack from Sparkler, but she avoided his. However, she doesn’t avoid Powershift’s next attack and it knocks the young Hispanic girl. Before Sparkler can recover, Sea Guard lends a hand, knocking her out with a martial punch.

However the struggle between Backlash and Flex is just getting started! After being bounced by Flex, Backlash comes rushing back for more.

Grinding his teeth, "I guess its safe to say that, But I wonder How far you can stretch before you snap like a twig?! Care to find out?"

“Like dude, you don’t know what you’re messing with here!”

Backlash feints a punch and grabs a hold of Flex. The pair struggle for a moment and Backlash quickly realizes that Flex is just about as strong as he is!

“Dude, they don’t just call me Flex because I’m flexible, but because I’m like totally buffed!”

As they struggle, Flex begins to entwine his limbs around Backlash, threatening to crush him!

Roll Call: Lily & Tilt-A-Whirl


Dash leads Turbo and Tilt on a merry chase through Downtown San Diego. Along the way Dash helps himself along the way, snatching a few purses from wealthy looking women along the way. The contents are quickly searched and then discarded. Turbo grabs some candy and comics as he goes along. Behind them both, Tilt races to catch up doing her best to avoid running into any cars or people.

Before you know it, Dash runs into a busy park. He Purposely runs close to picnic table, sending their contents flying and knocking people to the ground. A few children land hard and burst out crying from the Dash’s passage. Turbo just continues the mayhem as he follows.

Tilt is getting closer to Turbo now, but the Dash is still far ahead. From seemingly out of nowhere, a woman rushes forward and trips up Turbo! The young man goes tumbling forward at superspeed and winds up crashing into a picnic table! Turbo is visible dazed from the impact.

Tilt’s gaze moves to the woman and she realizes that is that woman who mimicked her powers from somewhere before! But even with her looking like Tilt, she wasn’t as fast as the real thing.

As Lily closed in on Turbo she realized that there was a third speedster approaching. One that looked vaguely familiar to her!

The fierce winds that surrounded the hovering villainess force the rod off course and it misses. The villainess fires another windblast at the source of her annoyance, but Blackout just harmlessly tumbles away.

“Stand still lawman!” Wild Wind shouts.

The battle seems to be a stalemate thus far. However, Blackout can hear Wild Wind’s heart racing and pulse pounding. She’s going to tire if the fighting continues at this pace for much longer.

[Blackout]

Blackout:

Blackout lets out a simple "hhmmpphh" as his rod fails to connect. Feeling the air gathering violently around him, he tumbles away, leaping up to catch his rod since it bounded oddly after hitting resistance.

“Stand still lawman!” Wild Wind shouts.

The battle seems to be a stalemate thus far. However, Blackout can hear Wild Wind’s heart racing and pulse pounding. She’s going to tire if the fighting continues at this pace for much longer.

"I'm still not sure where you think you see a badge," Blackout replies.

He can sense Wild Wind's erratic heart rate and knows there's not much fight left in her. He throws his rod once more. Even if it misses, she's going to have to keep her defensive winds active.

If she does collapse, he'll try to get there to catch her before her head bounces off the pavement. Otherwise Blackout will keep bounding out of the way and wearing her down.

[Backlash]

Backlash

“Like dude, you don’t know what you’re messing with here!”

"A sunsoaked hippy with bad teeth and horrible breath?" he said as he began grabbling with him. Realizing that the guy is just as strong as he was Backlash grits his teeth as he slowly feels his arms begin to go about him threatening to crush him...

Think come on think.

Meeting Flex's eyes Backlash can't help but but wonder if he is flexable everywhere....For a moment he thinks about lessoning his grip upon him and going for his eyes but thinks better of it. A smirk coming to his face, "Buff? Putting Swimmies on your arms then a wetsuit doesnt make ya buff!"

Backlash will continue his grip on the would be surfer, in doing so, begin kneeing Flex in his balls, hoping that he wont notice the subtle move.

[Menagerie]

Menagerie:

Her surprise tactic works, and Menagerie manages to trip the teenage boy! Moving quickly to where he crashed against the picnic table, she grabs one of his legs and lifts it - and him - as high as she can reach. He should have trouble running with no feet on the ground!

Glancing back the way he came, Lily sees yet another speedster coming. Even stranger than the plethora of speeders, this one looks familiar!

Bracing for impact in case this girl attempts to run her down, Lily points at her with her free hand. "Stop! Don't I know you?"

[Bruce]

Eldrich Arcane

Eldrich follows the Magus and his wife deeper into their home. Below are more rooms, one occupied by the still figures in white .

Eldrich eyes the collection of items here. The weapons are of an ancient type no longer used in his homeland. Eldrich ponders whether they are considered modern here. Next to catch his attention are the cloak and amulet. The makes are unknown to him, yet something about them seems familiar.....

Yesss, I owned a cloak and amulet. Every child had them in fact. I remember now. A protective amulet and a Floating Cloak, yes!

"Thank you for showing me these. It has indeed helped me. Some trickle of memory has returned.
Perhaps if I remain here for a time more memories will surface."

[Bruce]

Flux

Flux hammers Powerhouse down into the pavement from his considerable height advantage. No finesse, no skill, just force.

Mmm, more property damage by me. That's going to come out of my paycheck again.

While the Vigilant members round up their prisoners, they become aware of movement further down the street. They see a surprising sight of a vaguely familiar man all covered in ice carrying another man also covered in ice and what appears to be a statue of a young woman. The familiar man seems to be in a panic.

"Say Tesla, does that man look familiar to you? I should know him but...hmm."

"Regardless of that it looks like they need some help over there. Let's shift ourselves."

*Edgar, two prisoners secured of the Thugmaster's Elite. Tesla and I are checking out a disturbance close by. Run a check for me on any known ice users in the city. Got an unknown man running along the street covered in it with two others in tow. Get back to me with what you have.*

Tesla:

"Really, Flux. I had him..." Tesla starts, but lets her words trail off. No sense worrying about it.

While the Vigilant members round up their prisoners, they become aware of movement further down the street. They see a surprising sight of a vaguely familiar man all covered in ice carrying another man also covered in ice and what appears to be a statue of a young woman. The familiar man seems to be in a panic.

"Say Tesla, does that man look familiar to you? I should know him but...hmm."

"Regardless of that it looks like they need some help over there. Let's shift ourselves."

At first Tesla isn't sure who Flux means, then she focuses on the man carrying the others. "You know," Tesla says, "he looks familar, but I can't quite seem to put my finger on why..."

Tesla will accompany Flux over to intercept the man carrying two lifesize statues. She doubts he's an art thief, but the scene is quite peculiar.

[Tilt-A-Whirl]

Tilt-A-Whirl:

Tilt is getting closer to Turbo now, but the Dash is still far ahead. From seemingly out of nowhere, a woman rushes forward and trips up Turbo! The young man goes tumbling forward at superspeed and winds up crashing into a picnic table! Turbo is visible dazed from the impact.

Tilt’s gaze moves to the woman and she realizes that is that woman who mimicked her powers from somewhere before! But even with her looking like Tilt, she wasn’t as fast as the real thing.

"thatwasntverynice! icouldhavebeathimfairandsquare! ididntneedyoutocheatforme!" Tilt recognizes the woman from... somewhere.. as she is saying all this. It wasn't fair that she cheated Turbo out of the loss he deserved, but where does she know this woman from?

"ithinkiknowyou... ithinkso..." Tilt replies, confused. She thinks she remembers beating this woman just the other day in a race, didn't she? Tilt's confusion is very obvious.

The two Elite members have been dealt with. Edgar is contacted by Flux and PRIMUS is en route.

Edgar doesn’t take too long to reply. “The last known male with ice powers in town was Blizzard of Heroes for Hire a few weeks back. The last male villain was Freon last year.”

Flux shrinks down to normal size and he and Tesla move closer to the unique sight of a man covered in ice carrying another man covered in ice under one arm and a statue of a young woman in the other! As they get closer, Flux realizes that there’s something familiar about the statue of the woman. It seems to resemble Gloria Starr, the daughter of the owner of Vigilant, Inc whom he’s met before at company social functions.


Roll Call: Backlash, Powershift, & Sea Guard

Elsewhere, the struggle between Backlash and Flex continues. The stretchable rubber man’s arms and legs have wrapped themselves around Backlashes body, but their strength is evenly managed and ‘Lash can easily hold his own. Backlash manages to thrust his knee up into Flex’s groin. The result is somewhat predictable. Flex’s body is thrown up a few feet and then just snaps back into place.

“Dude, you can’t fight dirty with a rubber man!”

“Then why don’t we see just how stretchable you really are?”

Have dealt with Sparkler, Powershift arrives on the scene. The older hero grabs Flex around his torso and flies off! Flex begins to stretch out as the stronger Powershift flies further away.

Catching on, Backlash holds his ground, preventing Flex from letting go. Flex’s limbs start to unwind from around Backlashes body, but ‘Lash continues to hold on.

Powershift beings to slow down as Flex is beginning to be stretched to his limits.

“Like, leggo of me, man!”

“As you wish,” Powershift says letting go of Flex.

Flex begins to snap back towards the waiting Backlash. ‘Lash winds up and lands a haymaker on Flex upon his return. The rubber band man is sent rocketing backwards, up and over the building!

Roll Call: Lily & Tilt-A-Whirl

At a nearby park, Lily’s family outing was interrupted as a series of speedsters ran through the park. The first passed by unhindered, but Menagerie tripped up the second. Turbo went crashing into a picnic table and is visibly dazed. Menagerie rushes up and picks up Turbo by the leg, holding him easily off the ground.

While doing that, a third speedster approaches, a teenage girl. But this time both Menagerie and the girl seem to recognize each other from somewhere, but they can’t place it. Both seem confused by this odd development.

Roll Call: Blackout

Sensing that Wild Wind is beginning to tire, Blackout adopts a new strategy of simply wearing her down. He continues to keep his distance, dodge her attacks, and tossing his rod when able. Finally, Wild Wind begins to slow down. She realizes what’s been going on and tries to fly off. The winds whipping around her have settled down and Blackout throws his rod once more. This time it catches the villainess square in the chest! Wild Wind starts to fall, but Blackout leaps forward, tumbles, and then catches her. Wild Wind is out cold.

Roll Call: Eldrich

Elsewhere in San Diego, Eldrich has been shown a collection of magic items taken from the unknown, sleeping couple in the adjacent rooms. The woman’s cloak and amulet strike a momentary memory in Eldrich.

"Thank you for showing me these. It has indeed helped me. Some trickle of memory has returned. Perhaps if I remain here for a time more memories will surface."

“Of course,” the Magus says. “Take all the time you need. Just do not disturb our guests’ slumber. Tomorrow promises to be an interesting day, so make sure you’re fully rested.”

The White Witch and Magus will say their goodnights and leave Eldrich to be near the collection of magic items.

Snatching the downed boy into the air, Lily turns to confront the girl. Fortunately, the girl stops, though she talks so fast it's hard to understand her. From what Lily can gather, she appears to have no remorse for the chaos and possible injury she and her friends are causing for others.

Lily's face clouds over a bit. "Fair? Cheat?" she repeats back, pointing at the kids crying on the ground. "Do you think hurting little kids is fair? Do you think disrupting other peoples' lives and activities is fair? Is this all some kind of sick game to you?"

"There, there, you rest now. I'll make sure your cell is nice and comfy for when you awake," Blackout says more to himself since Wild Wind has passed out. His gambit worked as she literally wore herself out.

Tucking his rod into its holster, Blackout carries the unconscious Wild Wind while scanning for authorities. He'll backtrack to the largest area of commotion if needed, although with all the debris, he isn't likely to have to wait for long.

Looking Flex in the eyes Backlash grins slightly as Powershift rises ever so higher into the air. “Told you I’d snap you like a twig, just didn’t say how.” Feeling Flex’s arms begin to unravel, lash grabs onto him with a firmer grip determined not to let him go.

Within a moment, Backlash soon catched on to Powershift’s plan and winds up for a punch a the now rubber banding Flex comes hurdling toward him. Putting everything he has into his punch, Lash makes contact sending the ‘Rubberband man’ up up up and away!

“Thanks for the assist, Shift! But I had him right where I wanted him.” He says with a grin and wink.

Carrying the two ‘statues’ slowly begins to take its toll on him as he looks about in confusion for a phone or any form of help. Growing frustrated Frosty drops the iced covered statue in the middle of the sidewalk. While gently placing the other, For a moment He looks into her stone covered eyes, even now so full of life but robbed of it. He reaches an icy hand up to her face, while saying, “Don’t worry Gloria,” talking to the statue of her as if it will answer back, “I’ll get you out of there, if it’s the last thing I do.”

Seeing a women with Eletricity arching about her Frostbite stops what he is doing and steps before the Statue of Gloria, as if guarding her. And for a long time doesn’t say a word. Just watches and waits...If she attacks, He will go for entangles. not wishing to harm anyone.

As for this boy, I have a legal right to defend my family from those who seek to harm us."

Lily rubs her nose for a moment in frustration. "Look, maybe you didn't mean any harm, but you and your friends caused harm whether intentional or not. Can you not think of any more beneficial or helpful use for these abilities you've been gifted with? Surely there must be some better use for them than pranks and disrupting peoples' lives? Right?"

Tesla takes a non-agressive stance seeing the young man standing protectively in front of the very detailed statue of a young woman. Although she still isn't sure what's going on, she doesn't think the man is about to attack unless she does first.

"What's going on?" Tesla asks, glancing to Flux to see if he's going to interject. If not, Tesla will try to unravel what happened here.

"That thing turned my girlfriend into a statue right before my eyes! One moment we were walking having fun the next thing she's a statue!" he said quite adamantly as he gestured toward the icy entombed form. " I just reacted and encased him in ice. You gotta help me, She's very important to me and her mother will kill me when she finds out!"

With a deep breath Frosty and his eyes widening, "He said that she would be a nice addition to his collection. That's when I put him on ice and went looking for help. Please if you can do anything please try." he said with a pleading look.

[Tilt-A-Whirl]

Both Tilt and this familar woman are angry. Tilt has her hands clenched into fists as this woman carries Turbo around by the leg! Then she says Tilt hurt her family! Tilt didn't hurt anyone!

This woman keeps calling Turbo and the Dash her "friends." That finally sinks into the angry teen. "theyrenotmyfriends.." Tilt reveals, a little calmer, "ijustmetthem... theysaidtheywerelookingformeandwantedmetojointhem... itwaskindofflattering."

Tilt stands there once again unsure of herself and just what to do. Her hands unclench, but it looks like she's ready to bolt if she hears sirens or the woman makes a grab for her.
