The Guardians have at long last reached the main temple dedicated to Auril in the expansive Ice Palace! The High Priestess herself stands near the altar where the Heart of Winter, a huge diamond that is an artifact to Auril, hovers. It was the Heart of Winter that allowed the creation of the Ice Palace, the transformation of an army of orcs into icy zombies, and the formation of constructs created from ice itself.
Sir Corley decides to attack right away before the latest round of protective spells can expire. A quick plan of battle is made and the spell casters begin to prepare for the conflict to come. Grondar casts Strength of Stone on Ivy, but the Azrellian does not feel any different afterwards.
Next Grondar casts Protection from Evil 10’ Radius on Sherra. (The spell requires a living creature to be its focal point. Sherra seemed like the logical choice for Grondar to cast it on.) Lyonessa casts Shield on herself while Sherra readies her bow.
Multiple spells are cast as Sir Corley prepares to lead the charge towards the enemy who thus far has yet to seemingly even notice the group. Argent conjures a Wall of Fire at its maximum distance. The circular barrier roars into existence about thirty feet away from the altar. Those ice warriors within ten feet of the Wall of Fire rapidly melt away into nothing. Those within twenty feet also begin to soften, but not as fast. There is no heat on the inside of the Wall of Fire, so most likely those ice warriors inside have yet to be affected.
Chareos follows this up with a Fireball. The spell explodes into the front ranks of the Ice Warriors and none of them survive its devastating effects. Grondar casts Recitation upon the group, giving them Berronar’s blessings. Lyonessa casts Monster Summoning 1 and in response six giant rats appear to do her bidding.
After the fiery magicks have gone off, Sir Corley, Aria, Yusef, Grondar, Ivy, and Farian all begin to charge. Most of them quickly reach the area where Chareos’ Fireball went off, but still even more Ice Warriors are there to block their path.
While Argent’s Wall of Fire is devastating to the Ice Warriors, it also serves to block most of you from even seeing the High Priestess! Sherra fires a pair of shafts blindly into the wall, hoping that Tymora will help them find their target. Lyonessa casts Hold Person at the High Priestess, while Argent launches her own Fireball. Both spells go off, but their success cannot be seen. (Both spells require only a general area to target, not a specific individual.)

GM Notes
GM Notes:
There is a combat map for the Ice Palace in the Maps section in the private reference area.
Before reaching the ground floor, Ivy cast CMW and completely healed Argent, Yusef, and herself.
I didn’t have Yusef cast his Silence spell since the way his actions were posted he wanted to reach the Wall of Fire first. Casting a spell is a Full Phase action, meaning nothing else can be done in that particular round. (Movement up to 1/5th your movement rate is allowed however. So if Yusef still wants to cast the spell, it also targets an area and not a specific individual, then he would be further back on the combat map, between Farian and the rats.)
Those who were running towards the enemy can do Charges into them should they so desire. Grondar has the option to half-move and fire his Crossbow. Doing so would move him back to between Ivy and Farian since his Boots of Speed allow him to cover a lot of ground.
The post covers 3 rounds of preparatory spells and some of the first round of combat. Chareos still can act in the first round, as can those noted above.

Lyonessa:
Lyonessa casts Monster Summoning 1 and in response six giant rats appear to do her bidding.
giant rats? hmmm Lyonessa thinks, as that wasn't what she was quite expecting. She isn't sure how effective they will be against ice warriors, but at least they can get in the way and slow them down. She directs them to stay nearby and attack the walking ice people if they come close.

The Wall of Fire spring up and blocks Lyonessa's vision. She notices Sherra firing through the wall and wonders if the thief can see from where she is. Remembering where the priestess was standing, Lyonessa casts her Hold Person in that area. Hopefully she hasn't yet moved.
Lyonessa will cast her Spiritual Hammer next, and use it against either the ice foes or the priestess if she comes back into view.

Chareos
Seeing the battle unfold before him Chareos survey’s the battle field before him. Realizing that his Comrades could be put between a rock and a cold place, Chareos Begins casting his Wall of Fire [laying it so it was left to right on the map. Link it off the second wall, the heat of the flames going down on the map)
He then casts his Lightning Bolt and forks it so it strikes through the Ice warriors to Yusef’s left without hitting Yusef or his other comrades.

To serve and protect those who cannot.
Ivy
Ivy:
As the charge proceeds, Ivy finds herself behind the front lines. She’ll maintain this position, attacking any Ice Warrior that gets past the front line. Ivy will be in position to heal anyone should they need it as well.
“Hopefully,” Ivy smiles back. “I must admit that I’m distracted as of late. I am concerned over Sir Acerion’s mission and our mission. I try not to worry, but sometimes you cannot help it.”"I'm certain you would have soon enough, milady," Grondar says with a smile.
“Ah yes. Please proceed.”Looking over at Ivy, Grondar says, "This might be the appropriate time for that spell we discussed earlier. Still interested?" If so, Grondar will go ahead and cast his Strength of Stone on the priestess of Azrella.
“I don’t feel any different” Ivy answers. “But that doesn’t necessarily mean that the magic didn’t take hold.” Not knowing the particulars of the spell Grondar cast, Ivy cannot be sure if it worked or not.Grondar casts Strength of Stone on Ivy, but the Azrellian does not feel any different afterwards.

Argent
Argent:
After stuffing her Bag of Holding with all the jewels and magic she could find on Kalandor’s body, Argent flies down the stairs with the others. Footing won’t be any problem for one who can fly!
Preparatory spells are cast, but Argent doesn’t cast any of her own at this point. Once the Wall of Fire is in place, the Invoker follows it up with a Fireball. Something occurs that Argent didn’t consider when making her plans. While the wall effectively covers the span of the chamber, it also blocks us from seeing the enemy priestess! Of course on the other hand she can’t see us either to target with spells!
Rising higher into the air, Argent tries to see where the High Priestess is at. If she is found, cast Magic Missile at her. If not, then cast another Fireball to the right of the altar to clear the path for those who are charging forward. If Argent becomes aware of any spells directed at her, she’ll absorb them using her Tiara.

Argent lets out a chuckle upon seeing what Lyonessa has summoned. From what she’s heard you’re never quite sure just what you’re going to get when using those kind of spells. It’s not something that Argent has to worry about as Conjuration magic is barred to her.Lyonessa casts Monster Summoning 1 and in response six giant rats appear to do her bidding.

I am an Invoker of no small power.
Sir Corley
Sir Corley:
Spells are cast and the attack begins! The Wall of Fire seems to be working just as the Lady Argent expected. Confidence swells in the young knight as he begins his advance.
However as he runs along, doubts begin to nag him. This is all seemingly too easy in his mind. Fearing that this might be a trap, Sir Corley also realizes that he is committed to this course of action now.
Seeing the ice warriors up ahead just past the affects of Charoes’ Fireball, Sir Corley lowers his two handed sword and will using like his lance to charge through the enemy ranks!
“Forward, my friends! But be wary of any sign of treachery!”

Aria
Aria:
Finally we get to see some real action! Once the command to charge is given, Aria starts running as fast as her little legs will carry her screaming all the while at the top of her lungs. Just past the explosion of fire, Aria can see the ranks of the ice monsters. She’ll clutch her battleaxe with both hands, lower her shoulder and just charge into them at full speed feeling certain that her sturdy dwarven frame will just knock’em over!
“Thanks” Aria mutters back. She doesn’t like asking for help in anything, especially something magical, so this is something of an embarrassment to her."My pleasure, fair lady," Grondar replies. With a brief prayer, he adds Berronar's protection to Aria's more earthly defenses.

Farian
Moving as fast as his stumpy legs would carry him, Farian follows the others into the frey. Readying his war hammer for any stragglers Farian will move forward trying to keep up with the others, If there is no hope of this Farian Will use his ring of Invisibilty and double back to the mages and protect them the best that he is able.(More or less If he gets Isolated from the charging group, Invis and retreat to the mages.)

it begins...
Sherra:
Using her Boots, Sherra will try to raise up enough to where she can see the priestess, even partially. She knows she might become a target herself, but with the charging group and her armor mimicing the icy walls, Sherra hopes this will be enough protection. If she can take any kind of fairly decent shot, she will continue firing.
Blessed Tymora, Sherra thinks as she fires shafts blindly through the wall of fire to where she believes the priestess still is. This isn't going to work, I'll end up shooting my friends once they get closer, she thinks grimly. While Argent’s Wall of Fire is devastating to the Ice Warriors, it also serves to block most of you from even seeing the High Priestess! A New Path
Yusef:
Due to the efforts of their spellcasters, the large hall is quickly lit up with flame from multiple spells. In mere seconds, huge swathes of ice warriors are turned to small puddles on the icy floor.
Joining the charge forward, Yusef notes that his view of the priestess has been severed by the flames and abandons his spell for the moment. Instead, he races forward.
Reaching the far end of the area cleared by the nearest fireball, it is apparent that there are still lots of the frozen men between them and their goal. However, the circular Wall of Flame is not so far away. Yusef attempts to vault over the ice-men betwixt him and it, punching and kicking as he goes.
___________________________________________________________
The map text mentions "squares", but I don't see any. There is a tiny (miniscule) blue dot next to the ring of fire almost directly in front of Yusef. He will attempt to reach that point, then follow the ring up and around until he's in the area cleared by the other fireball.

Grondar:
The firey spells quickly block any sight of the High Priestess, making any thought of using his crossbow moot. Besides, this is really a job for TruthGiver anyway. Grondar charges forward at Corley's command, doing his best to keep his feet as he goes. When he reaches to wall of icy soldiers, he will drive forward, smashing all around him as he goes. Grondar is determined to force his way through to the edge of the area warmed by the flaming ring at whatever cost.

Grondar just shrugs.Ivy wrote:“I don’t feel any different” Ivy answers. “But that doesn’t necessarily mean that the magic didn’t take hold.” Not knowing the particulars of the spell Grondar cast, Ivy cannot be sure if it worked or not.
Grondar smiles. "I know you don't really need it, Aria, and I thank you for humoring me and allowing me to feel like I'm helping in this small way." Perhaps this will help soften any blow to her pride that this circumstance has caused.Aria wrote:“Thanks” Aria mutters back. Post Continued
Post Continued:
The Guardians continue their assault on the High Priestess of Auril. Lyonessa spreads out the giant rats she summoned to protect those at the back of the chamber. The Songstress then casts Spiritual Hammer and a translucent hammer-like shape appears near her.
Chareos adds a second Wall of Fire to the mix, this one starting near the altar and moving down the room. It bisects Argent’s Wall of Fire and essentially cuts off many of the ice warriors from the charging group. Those ice warriors closest to the wall melt away and those near them begin to soft and will soon collapse.
Both Argent and Sherra rise higher into the air, attempting to see around the Walls of Fire to the High Priestess. Neither can get a clean target and will be forced to move further down the chamber along the edge to clear the wall. Argent casts a second Fireball, this one to the right of the altar to further clear out the path the advance group is taking. Not having a target, Sherra holds her shot.
The advancing group nears the first of the enemy. Sir Corley, Grondar, and Aria simply charge forward into their ranks. All these Ice Warriors are partially melted and offer little resistance to the heroes. They are now close enough to feel the heat from the Wall of Fire and it causes minor damage to them.
Behind them, Farian realizes that he cannot keep pace. He activates his Ring of Invisibility and begins to move back towards the rear group.
Yusef reaches their line and leaps up high into the air, vaulting over them. He comes down and rushes across the Ice Warriors, using the top of their heads as steps! Several of the icy constructs collapse under his weight. In short order, he clears the Ice Warriors and can feel the heat from Argent’s Wall of Fire.
Yusef begins to circle around the Wall of Fire in an effort to reach the altar and the High Priestess. The High Priestess comes into view and Yusef is stunned by what he sees. She continues to stand near the altar, seemingly oblivious to the chaos going on around her! In that moment, Yusef realizes that the High Priestess is only an illusion!
At about the same time, a Wall of Ice materializes over the spell casting and archery group. It forms near the ceiling and drops straight down! Argent and Sherra are struck first and the Wall of Ice drives them both back to the ground! Sherra takes heavy damage from the unexpected attack, while Argent’s Stoneskin saves her from serious injury.
The Wall of Ice continues to plummet and mercilessly smashes into those on the floor. Lyonessa and Chareos are knocked from their feet, but their individual Stoneskins protects them from damage. The summoned rats are not as fortunate and all of them vanish.
Up overhead, the High Priestess shimmers into existence. “Foolish mortals! You’ll pay dearly for your transgressions!”

GM Notes:

At any rate the altar is 5’ x 10’ to give you a better sense of scale. I only noted this, as most of my maps are the standard 10’ squares, not 5’ like this one.
The Wall of Ice fell close to Farian, but missed him. The combat map has been updated. Farian is also a different color to show that he is invisible. He’s listed so that his player knows where he is.
Hit Points:
Aria – 82 of 84
Corley – 61 of 65
Grondar – 58 of 60
Sherra – 30 of 41

Seeing the others moving well off in front of him, Farian begins to huff and puff trying desperately to keep up. Sliding to a stop Farian realizes there is no way he can keep up. Activiating his ring he turns invisible and begins to head back to the mage, archer group. His eyes widen as a Large sheet of ice materializes and crashes hard to the floor dropping Sherra Argent to the floor. The wall shatters upon them then a voice rings out from above drawing Farian’s attention.
“Foolish mortals! You’ll pay dearly for your transgressions!”
Dropping his Light crossbow from his shoulder he spots the High priestess, ‘You’ll the one who will be sorry...’ he thought to himself, As Farian moves forward Toward the high priestess, Aiming up at her Farian Will let loose a bolt into her hide.

Where did Yusef's 2 HPs of damage come from? (I believe Ivy fully healed everyone.)
Can Yusef, Grondar, etc. see the real High Priestess, or is she blocked by the Wall of Fire?

Re: ???
It was from venturing too close to the Wall of Fire. It damages anyone who gets within 20' of it. That's the downside to Argent's plan. While the ice warriors melt from it, anyone who gets too close also takes damage and from the way it was placed, it was impossible to get past without taking some damage.fanchergw wrote:OOC Questions:

Gordon
Everyone can see the High Prietess. She's near the ceiling, almost 50' up, and the Wall of Fire is only 20'.
Try it and find out!
Re: ???
Might I suggest you take another look at Yusef's character sheet? Particularly the part called Baatorian Bloodline under Racial Abilities. It was a primary factor in my strategy for Yusef. Of course, it's possible that I am misinterpretting that item, but I took it specifically for that reason.

Ah-ha! That's part of the problem. The one sheet I reference that you sent me didn't have Baatorian Bloodline on it! The sheet my program generated did, so you are correct. I didn't see the power so took it that Yusef had no special resistance to fire. Disregard the HP losss.fanchergw wrote: Might I suggest you take another look at Yusef's character sheet? You must have an older version, since it appears that it got left off one of the earlier copies. I'll send you the most current version when I get home tonight.GM Mad wrote: Ah-ha! A New Path
Yusef:
More and more fire spells from the spellcasters quickly decimate the ranks of their opponents. Very soon now, there will only be the High Priestess to deal with.
Yusef leaps up over the first rank of ice men, leaping from head to shoulder to cross the rapidly-thinning line of them. With a flip, he lands beyond them in the area bathed by the heat of the ring of fire. He follows the ring around to the right, staying close to the fire and letting the soothing warmth from it soak into his bones to chase away the chill.
Within moments, he comes into view of the High Priestess. Oddly, she appears to be unmoving; within moments, he realizes that he's been chasing an illusion.
He turns to shout a warning to his companions just as a loud crash resounds behind them. Looking, he can see that a huge block of ice has crushed several of their number to the floor.
"Sher-ra!!!" he yells, fear and anger boiling inside him. Moments later, the real High Priestess appears in the air to one side of the room and mouths threats that are meaningless to him now. Seeing her, his vision turns red with rage and all of his fear for Sherra and his anger solidify into a hard, spiky mass.
Yusef's rage blots out anything useless - such as words - and he streaks off back in the other direction from whence he came. He will follow the ring back around to the left to where it intersects the other wall of fire, run through it, then turn and follow that wall toward the high priestess.

Is throwing his spikes also a full phase action, like casting a spell, or can he do that while running?

Grondar:
Focussing solely on the enemy before him, Grondar plows forward into the icy warriors. These have been softened by the heat behind them and prove to be little hindrance; Grondar quickly finds himself beyond them and being bathed by the heat from the mystic flames.
A loud crash resounds behind them, accompanied by the cries of their companions. Spinning about, he sees that a large wall of ice has fallen on their spell and missile group. It appears that several of them may be trapped underneath. Fear for their safety floods through him, even as the High Priestess appears in the air and shouts her threats.
Knowing that his friends must be saved before they are crushed to death, Grondar charges grimly back toward the frozen slab to check on their condition. If he must, he will reduce it to shards with TruthGiver to get them free. "Argent! Lyonessa! Chareos! Sherra! Farian! Are you injured?!"

Re: A New Path
Any ranged attack can be either a No-Move or a Half-Move action. If No-Move is taken then you get your normal full compliment of attacks. If you Half-Move, then you get half your number of ranged attacks.Yusef wrote: Is throwing his spikes also a full phase action, like casting a spell, or can he do that while running?
So in Yusef's case, he can move up to 9" and still throw 1 spike.
(If he had more ranged attacks per round, say 3 for instance, then it would be differfent. He could move 4" and make 2 attacks, or move 8" and make 1 attack. I've got a text file that covers this. I really need to get it online. I'll try for this weekend.)

Chareos
Chareos watched as the Wall of Fire erupted into existence slicing through the Ice warriors ranks like an arrow. Ice warriors melted and withered away from the intense heat. A sense of pride and satisfaction came over him as a voice came from overheard then with a sickening crack of ice announced the Ice priestess’ presence..
Finding himself on the ground but unharmed Chareos gathered himself raising from the broken shards and pieces of ice, Dusting himself up he stared daggers into the Ice Priestess’ eyes, He cast a glance to those around him seeing most if not all are in good condition though covered in Ice. Knowing full well if he goes to their aid he would be an opportune target, he moved from the Ice pile down towards the wall(about half way and wait-- no action taken… as no spell or attack was made)
Growling his displeasure at being surprised in such way, Chareos began to chant the words to his Melf’s Minute Meteors, If the sell succeds he will say, “Let us warm your cold unforgiving heart!” as he does so he will launch 5 of the meteors at the Ice Priestess.

To serve and protect those who cannot.
Lyonessa:
The Wall of Ice continues to plummet and mercilessly smashes into those on the floor. Lyonessa and Chareos are knocked from their feet, but their individual Stoneskins protects them from damage. The summoned rats are not as fortunate and all of them vanish.
Up overhead, the High Priestess shimmers into existence. “Foolish mortals! You’ll pay dearly for your transgressions!”
Lyonessa has no time to react or even cry out as the ice wall knocks her from her feet. She doesn't feel any other damage, but catches glimpses of the rats winking away.
Trying to stand, struggling under all the ice, Lyonessa hears a voice screaming out, calling us mortals? does she think she's immortal? Lyonessa wonders.

"I believe I am uninjured Grondar," Lyonessa replies, accepting assistance to get free of the ice if needed. Once she gets clear, Lyonessa will see if her Spiritual Hammer is still active. If it is, she will hurl it at the priestess. If not, she will begin to cast Blindness at the priestess.

Corley:
Sir Corley drives his greatsword into the enemy formation, easily turning aside those icy creatures before him. Then Yusef who has used his superior mobility to move further ahead calls out that the enemy we are closing in on is just an illusion!
“I knew this was to easy!” The knight mentally kicks himself for making such a tactical blunder.
“Everyone! Bring her down to the ground! We must get her into weapons range if we are to be victorious!”
Sir Corley while then run to reach the battle area, ignoring any ice warrior in his path. For a moment he considers sending someone to the altar to smash the Heart of Winter, but what if that is only just an illusion too?

Ivy’s heart sinks when the rear is attacked. Sir Corley orders us to attack the High Priestess and try to bring her down to the ground.
“Spread out!” Ivy yells. “Don’t let her catch many of us with another Wall of Ice!”
Ivy takes a few steps forward and casts Dispel Magic in an attempt to bring the ice priestess down to the ground.

Aria:
Aria blasts through the ice warriors before her. Her victory is short lived, however as it seems the slimy ice worshipper has appeared amongst the back ranks! Seeing that she’s too far away to fling her axe, Aria will run back towards the others, following Sir Corley.
“Well, as long as we’re clear on that,” Aria will grumble.Grondar smiles. "I know you don't really need it, Aria, and I thank you for humoring me and allowing me to feel like I'm helping in this small way." Perhaps this will help soften any blow to her pride that this circumstance has caused.

Post Continued
Post Continued:
The High Priestess of Auril has finally revealed herself! She used an illusion of herself near the altar to split up the Guardians. Once the main attack force was far enough away, she dropped a Wall of Ice upon the rear group! The High Priestess continues to hover high overhead.
(The ice was a couple of inches thick when it formed, but between striking people and the chamber floor, its essentially shattered into zillions of pieces. No one is pinned by large chunks.)
Yusef has discovered the deception and shouts his findings to the others in the attacking group. Most change course and rush towards the enemy. Yusef dashes through the Walls of Fire to reach the target.
Counter-attacks come fast and furious towards the hovering Priestess. Farian fires a crossbow bolt, but it inexplicably bounces off the target! The dwarven scout turns visible upon firing his missile.
Yusef clears the second Wall of Fire and flings a throwing spike at the Priestess. He too hits, but his missile just bounces harmlessly away.
Chareos picks himself up and casts Melf’s Minute Meteors. The mage then begins to fling snowball-sized fireballs at the High Priestess! Three of the five meteors hit the target and the Priestess is hurt by them!
Lyonessa sends her Spiritual Hammer at the distant target, but is wide of the mark. Sherra fires a pair of shafts from her bow, but these too just seemingly bounce off the target.
Argent rises to her feet and sends a barrage of Magic Missiles upward. Her five sparkling missiles slam into the Priestess and she once again feels great pain!
Aria and Sir Corley rush to assist their companions and draw closer to the battle site.
Ivy lingers in the back and casts Dispel Magic at the figure high overhead. Her attempt succeeds with spectacular results! The High Priestess falls!
Mina hits the Temple floor hard, but inexplicably her form begins to change and waver upon impact! The human-looking Priestess changes into something not even remotely human! Her body grows and becomes more insect-like in appearance. Mina is now 12’ tall with large claws on her feet and hands, with smaller sharp pinchers at the mouth. Her head bulges with great, multi-faceted eyes. A tail covered with sharp spikes twitches behind her.
“I’ll rip you apart and freeze your blood!”, the transformed priestess threatens. “I’ll suck the marrow from your broken bones!”
At that moment it suddenly occurs to you. The infernal parent of the girls you met earlier is the mother, not the father!

Racing toward the downed members of the group, it becomes apparent that none are too badly injured, though he is uncertain of Sherra's condition. Uncertain, he pauses for a moment.
As he watches, nearly all missiles bounce away from the High Priestess, but magical attacks succeed in bringing her down. Amazingly, Mina transforms into what appears to be a creature of the outer planes!
Grondar's path is clear to him now. Turning, he dashes toward the creature, intending to Give her a taste of Truth. This abomination cannot be allowed to exist!

and the walls come tumbling down...
Sherra:
Picking ice from her hair and trying to get her bearings, she sees the priestess above them. Sherra also spots her bow lying nearby, surprised that it isn't damaged. Acting quickly, she fires two shafts at the priestess with no effect.
"Well, d..." is all Sherra really gets to say before the wall of ice flattens her against the frozen floor. Momentarily stunned and her back and neck throbbing, she clears chunks of ice from herself. Thankfully the wall shattered on impact so she wasn't going to risk being crushed.

Yusef:
Running through the Wall of Fire like it's no more than a warm shower, Yusef turns and sees the High Priestess still gloating away as she hovers near the ceiling. He flings a spike at her, but like the arrows and bolts fired by others, it bounces away with no damage done. However, spells seem to hurt the woman, and Ivy's brings her crashing to the floor.
More interestingly, the High Priestess transforms into a demonic creature! Yusef smiles grimly, as he has had some experience with beasts from the pit before. From what he's seen, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that is it likely immune to non-enchanted weapons.
Movement off to one side reveals those hit by the wall of ice rising to their feet, including Sherra. Yusef breathes a sigh of relief to see that she is not mortally wounded.
Yusef draws his empowered scimitar and moves forward, intending to show this creature just how unwelcome it truly is. "I recognise this thing - it's called a Gelugon!" he shouts to the others as he moves forward. "Normal weapons are useless; only magic will hurt it, and it heals fast!"

Does Yusef's background give him any knowledge of this particular denizen of the lower planes?

Corley:
The young knight stands stunned, his jaw agape at what the High Priestess has changed into! Never has he seen such a monstrous being before! All he knows that they must work fast to defeat this demon, or be defeated by it!
Orders at this point are not needed. Everyone knows the situation and what they are facing. They will each act as best they can to defeat this demon!
Sir Corley will simply rush the demon and attack with his greatsword. Keep it occupied so that it cannot harm any of the others, allowing them free attacks against the enemy.

The Invoker allows herself a smug smile upon seeing how potent her magic is upon the priestess. That all changes as she’s brought down to the ground and transforms into some hideous creature!
“I’m going to have nightmares about this!”
Fighting her instincts to just turn tail and run, Argent stands her ground. Seeing how effective her Magic Missiles were against the monster, she launches another barrage.

By Clageddin's Twin Axes!
“Well Bugger me!”
Farian says in a shocked voice, as he watches The priestess bug out into one ugly arse creature. Taking up his Warhammer, and Shield he can’t help but wonder how many directions the thing can see! Farian will move forward, and proceed to swing his war hammer at the beast, hoping to damage it.

Chareos
Flinging snowball sized fireballs from his hands Chareos watches as several other attacks fly in bouncing off the priestess, realizing she may have a stoneskin much like himself in place Chareos, makes note of it, as 3 of his fireballs land into the priestess.
Within Moments The Priestess is sent to the ground, causing Chareos to resist the urge to rush in with his melee weapons. The priestess’ form wavers as an Illusion wears off and the true beast is revealed!! It quickly becomes apparent that the Demon parent was indeed the mother!!
With a Metallic Hiss Chareos Draws forth his Broadsword +1, But holds back as he realizes he still has 2 Fiery snowballs to throw but quickly dismisses the rest of the Melf’s Minute Meteors. Seeing the rest of the front Group approach Chareos casts a magic missile and aims at The Ice Demoness.
