Crucible #30 - "All the World's a Stage..."


Roll Call: Lily, Tesla, and Archangel:

Tesla has successfully located Archangel and they are now winging their way back to where Lily was at. Along the way they notice some commotion down at street level. Moving closer they can see an obviously agitated man raving like a madman. He is plainly dressed in a polo shirt and shorts. Those few people in the area are giving him a wide birth.

However, one person is moving towards him. It is an older Hispanic woman. Moving up to the man she asks, ""Are you all right, sir?"

"How can I be all right?", the man yells in response. "You see it, don't you? It can't be real! I just can't be real! I am no ones plaything!"

Before Lily can respond the man places his hands on her shoulders as if trying to shake his words into her body. As he does that, the world around Lily shifts and changes dramatically. The change circulates outwards from the man and Lily and envelopes Tesla and Lily.

The sounds and smells of the street seem artificial somehow now. The buildings around you no longer seem as sturdy as they once were. From their elevated position, Tesla and Archangel can see that some of the buildings are just hollow fronts as if this San Diego Street had been reproduced on a Hollywood soundstage.

Looking around more further confirms this theory. High overhead are bright stage lights. There are few bright lights on tripods in out of the way places, fully illuminating the scene. Large stage fans cause the air to circulate.

Even more bizarre and ominous, far off in the distance, perhaps a block away, the 'stage' ends. The area beyond is far darker, but it roughly looks like there is an audience out there watching the production unfolding before them. There is a mute murmur coming from the crowd, but no actual words can be heard.

"This isn't possible!", the man declares wildly. Its clear that he's close to snapping from what he sees. "They can't tell me what to do! They won't control me! I won't let them!"

[GM Mad]

Roll Call: Frostbite, Eldrich, Serena, Polaris, and White Crane


The fighting inside the Convention Center is finally over with. The magically animated zombie seems to have run out of steam and is now buried underneath a ball of ice. Frostbite was alerted via Edgar that more people might be showing up. Specifically escapees from the PRIMUS base.

A few minutes pass and someone finally does show up. However, it is Dr. Wraithe, one of the protectors!

Eldrich shouts to the mage to move away from the body in the snow drift. Wraithe glances at the snow pile and then back towards the Vigilant. Finally he does move away and towards the heroes.

As Dr. Wraithe approaches, Frostbite goes to greet him. Dr. Wraithe is a man of average height with brown hair and dark, deep-set brown eyes. He speaks with an English accent. He lands seemingly without any effort.

"Denier is known to me", Dr. Wraithe will say. "As is his diabolical daughter. You've done well this day, young heroes. What was this about magically powered undead? I am unfamiliar with such a thing."


Roll Call: Blackout, Flux, & Nemesis

Nemesis has departed the PRIMUS base carrying Flux and Blackout with her. En route to the Convention Center a blast of energy crossed their path, forcing Nemesis to swerve. The action caused Flux to go flying off and begin to fall. In his panic Flux discovered the he himself could fly.

Nemesis slowed to hovering speed still bearing Blackout. Flux shrinks back to normal size and joins them while Quasar watches cautiously.

"Oh, not again!", Jen curses. "We're not criminals, Quasar! We're on our way to help out others!"

"Welcome to the party Quasar, but you missed 'rodeo criminal roundup night' already. Guess you haven't been watching T.V. if you haven't seen our do-gooder mugs plastered all over the place. There are probably a few places where your help is needed though. We're on our way to one ourselves."

"Yes, Quasar. We are members of the Vigilant with Nemesis here from Sanctuary as well. PRIMUS could use some help right now. They've lost Major Star and SA Rackham as well as several prisoners and part of their base. Any help you could render would be appreciated. Also, if medical needs are insufficient there, you may take injured to Castle Vigilant in the San Diego Bay. Sanctuary has medical personnel and equipment set up there. Any questions I can answer quickly?"

However Quasar does not seem satisfied. He speaks:

"What I see are three superpowered individuals fleeing as fast as they can from the scene of a crisis. No heroes I know would flee from a disaster sight, only criminals who were trying to escape."

Quasar gestures back towards the PRIMUS base. Smoke is still emerging from the rubble and numerous rescue workers are still on the scene.

"If you are who you claim to be, then you should have no qualms about going back and giving aid to PRIMUS. The Protectors are all over the city helping out, so we can deal with this current crisis first and then move on to other things. Turn around please and we'll all help PRIMUS once your identities have been verified. Otherwise I will force you to do so."


Now what?

[Frostbite]

Frostbite

Dr. Wraithe considers what is said and lands nearby while asking, "Denier is known to me", Dr. Wraithe will say. "As is his diabolical daughter. You've done well this day, young heroes. What was this about magically powered undead? I am unfamiliar with such a thing."

"Thanks, It's rather new terriotory to myself as well." he says with a smile. "Way I see it Denier's daughter did some sort of magic and raised the dead. It grabbed her and we tried to free her. Yet before he was put on ice he latched onto her and grew in hieght. Perhaps Eldrith can explain it better."

"Considering we dont have anything to bind them with perhaps an ice coating on them would suffice?"

He will than move to the Zombie and check it out for movement. Once doing so he will entangle the things body in ice further. Unless anyone objects to him icing the baddies for transport he will do so.

[Bruce]

Flux

( That grinding noise you hear is Fluxs' teeth - again. )

*"Frostbite, any troubles at your end, report in please?"*

"Quasar we've just been to PRIMUS and they now have their situation under control. There are other areas of the city that need our attention. PRIMUS is military and well staffed to aid themselves. There are civilians who are not so well off. We are fleeing nothing. We are moving to aid others. If you insist on further identification I will go with you back to PRIMUS briefly for that purpose but that is all. There are many other areas for us to cover."

And if I hear anything I don't like from Frostbite, even silence, that accommodation goes by the wayside.

[Bruce]

Eldrich Arcane

What was this about magically powered undead? I am unfamiliar with such a thing."

So, my ignorance of this is not constrained only to myself. Necromancy may be a field little known here as well.

"I am sorry to say I cannot. I did not witness the spell that originally raised the body, and necromancy is banned in my realm. No one of good repute studies or teaches such magics."

"Well hopefully it is explained well enough given the circumstances." he thinks to himself.

As Frosty listens to Eldrich explain he cannot elaborate on what may have happened the familiar sound of his radio comes into play

*"Frostbite, any troubles at your end, report in please?"*

Grabbing his radio he will reply, *"Flux, Situation here has been takin care of and everyone is fine. Denier and his pals are Ko'd and Dr. Wraithe from the Protectors arrived a short time ago. Want me to transport them to the PRIMUS base or Castle Viligant? Over"*

[Blackout]

Blackout:

"If you are who you claim to be, then you should have no qualms about going back and giving aid to PRIMUS. The Protectors are all over the city helping out, so we can deal with this current crisis first and then move on to other things. Turn around please and we'll all help PRIMUS once your identities have been verified. Otherwise I will force you to do so."

Been noticing a lot of these 'established' super hero groups have over-inflated egos. Seriously doubt he could take on all three of us at once. Blackout bites back any further comments seeing as no one really seems to be taking his light-hearted attempts in a positive light. Instead, he lets Flux do the talking.

Blackout will just remain in the care of Nemesis as we hover there waiting to see what Quasar decides. A thought dawns in Blackout's mind that Quasar didn't fly up with any offical papers or credentials either, so how does anyone knows it's who he claims to be?

He whispers to Nemesis while Flux and Quasar argue this out, "Do you know this Quasar fellow? Since both of you are from established teams, why doesn't he recognize you, or doesn't anyone share member files between each other?"

[Bruce]

Flux

*"Flux, Situation here has been takin care of and everyone is fine. Denier and his pals are Ko'd and Dr. Wraithe from the Protectors arrived a short time ago. Want me to transport them to the PRIMUS base or Castle Viligant? Over"*

*"Best take them to the castle. PRIMUS can't hold anybody right now. Any sign of our old sparring partners from yesterday? Over"*

[Frostbite]

*"Best take them to the castle. PRIMUS can't hold anybody right now. Any sign of our old sparring partners from yesterday? Over"*

*"Roger that, None that I have seen. We been inside the whole time. They know where to find us if they want us. When they do We will be ready for em." He says confidently.

Placing his radio away he adresses the others, " Guys listen up! The Primus base cant hold these three at the moment. Flux said to take them to the castle and hold them there until we can figure out what to do with them. Dr Wraithe if you would like to join us you are more than welcome. Perhaps when they awake you can get the answers you seek of the magic she used."

[Serena]

Serena:

"There must be ways to dispense with demons else wise they would overrun this world. We need merely discover the methods used here. And you do good by being good, Lady Serena. We must both find our places here or surrender to defeat. I cannot do that. I do not think you will either."

"Thank you for your wise council, my friend", Serena will say with a slight smile. "So much to learn about this strange world."

"Now you flatter me unduly, Lady. My magic is limited to what I can recall and that is little indeed. Four spells are hardly great magic."

"Four incantations are all one needs if used properly. I have not the ability strike down foes with magic nor vanish and reappear elsewhere. Powerful magic as far as I'm concerned."

Serena becomes more at ease as this Dr. Wraithe speaks of being familiar with the defeated demons. He must have crossed paths with them before. The fact that the sorcerer from this world failed to dispatch the demons makes Serena feel a little better about her failure to do so. The Knight finds his unusual accent to be somewhat enchanting.

Frostbite continues to speak with Dr. Wraithe, appearing to be familiar with the new arrival.

"Considering we don't have anything to bind them with perhaps an ice coating on them would suffice?"

"An excellent suggestion, Icy One. Magic should not be used ere we cause the undead to rise once more. I would appear that our mission here has been completed. What course of action shall we take next?"

That question is quickly answered as we are to take the prisoners back to the castle. "I shall carry the demon", Serena announces. "Let us make our way back to the magic boat and return to yon castle."

Serena will grab the Denier by his tail and drag him along behind her.

[Nemesis]

Nemesis:

Blackout laughs, "Well I'm not one that bases anything on looks. They can be deceiving after all."

"That is very true", Nemesis would agree. "After all, could I convince anyone that I was only six months old by the way I look?"

From the grin on her face, you can't tell if Jen is serious or not.


Quasar arrives on the scene and quickly gets the wrong idea about us. Not surprising as this does look suspicious! Nemesis has heard of Quasar before, but never met him.

"I'm a member of the Young Champions", Jen will add. "We came to help out around here as well. The others are members of a local hero team called the Vigilant."

He whispers to Nemesis while Flux and Quasar argue this out, "Do you know this Quasar fellow? Since both of you are from established teams, why doesn't he recognize you, or doesn't anyone share member files between each other?"

"You never head of Quasar? He's the leader of the famous Protectors based in San Francisco. I thought everyone in California had heard of him by now."

"The Young Champions are a school for supers, not a true team", Nemesis explains. "We're out of Sanctuary and not very well known and it was my understanding that the Vigilant were formed just yesterday. Hardly a surprise that a well known veteran hero hasn't heard of any of us."

Jen continues to hang I the air bearing Blackout, waiting to see what's going to happen next.

Roll Call: Frostbite, Eldrich, Serena, White Crane, Polaris, and Dr. Wraithe


Introductions are made with Dr. Wraithe and the situation is explained. Polaris eagerly introduces himself to the Sorcerer while White Crane seems more blasé about it. Its as if she's unfamiliar with the man.

Frostbite puts the captured people on ice for the time being.

Flux radios in checking up on the situation and Frostbite responds. Flux suggests taking the prisoners back to the castle. While that is going on, Dr. Wraithe has his own private conversation with his own communication device.

"It seems that you have this matter well in hand," Dr. Wraithe will state. "However, there are other matters that demand my attention. I must bid you adieu. Perhaps our paths will cross again."


Notes:

Unless someone says something, Dr. Wraithe will fly off.

Who is going to take the captures back to the castle and how are you going to accomplish this?

Roll Call: Blackout, Flux, Nemesis, and Quasar

While leaving the PRIMUS base, Flux, Blackout, and Nemesis came across Quasar, the leader of the Protectors who came down from San Diego to help out. Unsure of the identities of the three, Quasar stopped them.

While talking Flux speaks to Frostbite on their communicators. Quasar hears Dr. Wraithe's name come up in the conversation and he contacts his teammate. Both Flux and Quasar are brought up to date on what is going on at the Convention Center.

"It appear that I was mistaken", Quasar will say. "However, three unknown supers rapidly flying away from a disaster site is suspicious."

At that moment, something elsewhere in the sky attracts Quasar's attention. The winged Protector stares of in the distance. Flux and Nemesis can see two flying figures off in the distance moving towards the PRIMUS base from out of San Diego. They are too far away to make out any other details.

"A pair of winged women are flying towards the PRIMUS base. They are not Protectors. Perhaps more of your groups?"


Notes:

The Protectors were formed over six years ago and are well known to any not living in a cave on the West Coast. The Young Champions program is not very well known. Quasar has heard of it, but has no idea who its members are. Likewise, the Vigilant was just formed yesterday out of unknown and newly created supers. It shouldn't have been much of a surprise that he hadn't heard of you guys before.

[Tesla]

Tesla:

Not being able to find Lily or Armstrong has Tesla worried a bit, wondering if the two became engaged in further conflict after she departed. Some commotion on the street below grabs her attention and she circles in for a better vantage point when suddenly everything goes.. well.. strange.

Before Lily can respond the man places his hands on her shoulders as if trying to shake his words into her body. As he does that, the world around Lily shifts and changes dramatically. The change circulates outwards from the man and Lily and envelopes Tesla and Lily.

From there, things only get wierder as it appears everything around them is artificial, as if on a giant soundstage perfectly mimicing San Diego.

"What the h...?!?" Tesla trails off and looks at Archangel, trying to gage his reaction and determine if he's seeing what she is. Still not sure if the older woman below truly is Lily or not, Tesla stays airborne and tries to make sense of all of it.

"This can't be real, can it? Is that man below some super-powered individual and the cause of this.. fabrication?" Tesla asks outloud, although more for herself than directed at anyone, although if someone has an answer for her, she'll definitely take it at this point.

[Blackout]

Blackout:

"You never head of Quasar? He's the leader of the famous Protectors based in San Francisco. I thought everyone in California had heard of him by now."

"Well I'm not from California originally," Blackout says, "and quite honestly, I hadn't put too much effort into learning about superhero groups until most recently."

"The Young Champions are a school for supers, not a true team", Nemesis explains. "We're out of Sanctuary and not very well known and it was my understanding that the Vigilant were formed just yesterday. Hardly a surprise that a well known veteran hero hasn't heard of any of us."

"Ah, okay then," Blackout replies, "that tells me much more about how the groups operate. Would explain the mix-ups like what just happened. Maybe a database could be erected for established teams so things like this don't occur so frequently. I'm not surprised nobody recognizes the Vigilant yet, although with Flux and my extremely charismatic identities, you would think word would travel a bit faster," Blackout chuckles.

It appears that through some communications between other team members on both teams that Quasar has figured everything out and is about to move on. It happens none too soon, for although Blackout has no problem being held by the stunning Nemesis, he would like to find out what the next course of action is to be.

OOC: Hey Mad, I really know a bit more about these "big shot" heroes, but am just trying to play in character as Blackout really might qualify for living in a cave since he didn't reside in CA until recently as well as taking his other background and history into account.

Flux

As Flux contacts Frostbite, Quasar recieves a comunication from a fellow teamate, also at the convention center. This seems to allay his suspisions.

"I understand how it would look. We aren't well known yet and haven't established any public visibility."

Quasar notes the approach of unknown supers flying towards the PRIMUS base.

"A pair of winged women are flying towards the PRIMUS base. They are not Protectors. Perhaps more of your groups?"

"Not anybody in the Vigilant. How about it, Nemesis does Archangel have a sister? Maybe we better head back there after all."

What's the expression; it never rains but it pours? I'm feeling very put upon right about now.

[Bruce]

Eldrich Arcane

Serena will grab the Denier by his tail and drag him along behind her.
And don't I wish there was a picture of that!

"I will take the artificer with me. I will Step with him back to the boat, but I promise to keep you all within sight at all times."

"It seems that you have this matter well in hand," Dr. Wraithe will state. "However, there are other matters that demand my attention. I must bid you adieu. Perhaps our paths will cross again."

"Please be aware Dr. that four prisioners who posses evil magic have escaped from the local constabulary. Three of them are known to us. The Priestess is capable of mental manipulation and their wizard is proficient in the Black Arts. If you see them take precautions. I would welcome any chance to discuss the laws of magic with you as I am newly arrived to this realm. Do you have access to a 'fone'? I have been promised access to such a device for comunication among practicioners and hope to learn its operation soon."

Eldrich does not wish to lose contact so quickly with a local mage , especially one well known. A note of desperation might be detected!

[Menagerie]

Lily:

"How can I be all right?", the man yells in response. "You see it, don't you? It can't be real! I just can't be real! I am no ones plaything!"

"See what?" Lily begins to reply, when suddenly the man grabs her shoulders and the world turns inside-out around them. Were she of a different generation, she might be inclined to compare the experience to that of indulging in a hit of LSD.

Noting the staring from the apparent crowd, Lily becomes suddenly self-conscious. She glances down at herself and her clothing to make sure everything is alright. The sight of her altered form snaps some semblance of comprehension back into her head. Could this man be some kind of strange metahuman?

Lily turns to the man. "Is this what you see? I don't believe that this is real. I think you may be hallucinating or something. Everything looked normal to me until you touched me. Please, calm down and we'll try to figure out what is happening to you."

[Frostbite]

Frostbite

After recieving the radio transmission from Flux about where to bring our knocked out guests, a question is raised in his icy head. " Hope we got cells to hold them till Primus or someone else picks them up. Grabbing his radio he calls up Edgar.

*"Edgar come in you there? Do we have any prison cells that might be able hold 3 supers? Come back?"

As Dr Wraithe makes it known he needs to be moving on Frosty will thank him for his help, "If either you or your protectors need help, please dont hesitate to call. We would be happy to help the Protectors."

As the criminals are officially on ice Frosty isnt worried about his sticky grasp due to thier cold nature. He will pick up the Ice queen(devilsspawn) Up and proceed to carry her towards the floating disk.

[Nemesis]

Nemesis:

"Well I'm not from California originally," Blackout says, "and quite honestly, I hadn't put too much effort into learning about superhero groups until most recently."

"Actually, this is my first visit here too", Nemesis will say. "But being on Sanctuary we hear lots of things about the super community."

The situation with Quasar is resolved easily enough and peacefully too! Then new problems arrive in the form of two unknown fliers approaching the PRIMUS base.

"Not anybody in the Vigilant. How about it, Nemesis does Archangel have a sister? Maybe we better head back there after all."

"Please! One Archangel is bad enough! Tempest can fly, but she doesn't have wings, so I don't know who they are."

From the sound of it we're going back to where we came from. So Jen turns around and begins to head that way.

Roll Call: Tesla, Lily, & Archangel


Hovering over the San Diego Soundstage are a confused Tesla and Archangel. The winged Young Champion is just as confounded by this shift in reality as is Tesla.

"This is impossible…", Archangel says in his slight French accent. He stares off into the distance at the watching crowd. "I can't make these spectators out at all. It's like they're not really there. What we are seeing cannot be real."


Down on the ground, a transformed Lily is speaking to a very unstable man who is seemingly the source of this strange situation.

Lily turns to the man. "Is this what you see? I don't believe that this is real. I think you may be hallucinating or something. Everything looked normal to me until you touched me. Please, calm down and we'll try to figure out what is happening to you."

The man looks at Lily and then begins to shake his head. "No… No… NO! You're just part of this! You're one of them! You won't take me alive!"

With that, the man turns and begins to runaway. Reality, however remains as a soundstage.

Now what?

Roll Call: Blackout, Flux, Nemesis, & Quasar

The situation with Quasar has been peacefully resolved. However, two unknown winged women have been spotted flying towards the PRIMUS Base! It is decide to investigate them. And so the group turns around and flies back.

As you all draw nearer, Quasar describes the women he is seeing. It is clear that the leaders of the proctor sight is superior to everyone else's here. He's making out details no one else can see.

The one flying in the lead is a woman in a royal blue and purple costume. She wears a bird-like helmet and translucent wings of some bluish energy emerge from her back. The other woman has extremely white skin and hair with feathery silver wings.

The two women will reach the PRIMUS base first.


Notes:

OOC: Hey Mad, I really know a bit more about these "big shot" heroes, but am just trying to play in character as Blackout really might qualify for living in a cave since he didn't reside in CA until recently as well as taking his other background and history into account.

Not a problem. It's up to each PC to decide what they know or don't know in a situation like this. Being from out of town, its perfectly reasonable to not know much about the Protectors, or others being surprised that he doesn't know much about them.

The fighting is all over at the Convention Center. It is decided to take the defeated criminals back to the Castle for safe keeping. Serena grabs Denier by the tail and roughly drags the demon behind her. Eldrich carries the Aviator, but speaks to Dr. Wraithe first.

"Please be aware Dr. that four prisoners who posses evil magic have escaped from the local constabulary. Three of them are known to us. The Priestess is capable of mental manipulation and their wizard is proficient in the Black Arts. If you see them take precautions. I would welcome any chance to discuss the laws of magic with you as I am newly arrived to this realm. Do you have access to a 'fone'? I have been promised access to such a device for communication among practitioners and hope to learn its operation soon."

Dr. Wraithe listens carefully as Eldrich speaks. "Thank you for the information. I'll pass it along to my comrades."

"Are you saying that you are not from this dimension? How did you happen to arrive here, perchance? Yes, a discussion does seem to be in order. If you are based at the castle in the bay, I shall meet you there later this evening."


Meanwhile, Frostbite speaks with Edgar:

*"Edgar come in you there? Do we have any prison cells that might be able hold 3 supers? Come back?"*

"Not at this time, sir. Such technological feats are beyond my current ability to fabricate."

To Dr. Wraithe he adds:

"If either you or your protectors need help, please don't hesitate to call. We would be happy to help the Protectors."

"My thanks for the invitation. I am sure our paths will cross again before the Protectors return home."


Frosty then picks up the ice covered Devilspawn. Behind him Polaris exchanges looks with White Crane. "I guess that leaves the living cadaver for me. Thanks a lot guys."

Polaris gingerly picks up the formerly animated corpse and joins the others in leaving the Convention Center. Dr. Wraithe flies off and on to his next mission.

Now what?

[Menagerie]

The man looks at Lily and then begins to shake his head. "No… No… NO! You're just part of this! You're one of them! You won't take me alive!"

With that, the man turns and begins to runaway. Reality, however remains as a soundstage.

Lily hesitates a second as the man sudden flees. What he says makes no sense, at least to her. Still, there may be more going on than is obvious.

Boosting her speed just a little, Lily runs up alongside the man. She makes no attempt to stop him, just to keep up. "Part of what? One of whom? Has someone done something to you? I have no wish to hurt you."

[Frostbite]

"My thanks for the invitation. I am sure our paths will cross again before the Protectors return home."

"Until than, take care!"

As Frosty lifts the frozen Devils spawn over his shoulder her hears Polaris speak, "I guess that leaves the living cadaver for me. Thanks a lot guys."

"Sorry bud, next time we'll draw straws?"

As they are leaving the center Frosty recieves his answer from Edgar. "Ugh thats gonna cause a problem. No worries I got an Idea."

*"Flux, Its a no go on the cells. I got an idea though. Could put them in the well and freeze it over with them in it unless you got any better ideas."

[Bruce]

Flux returns to small size to avoid being seen.

The radio comunication between Edgar and Frostbite catches the attention of Flux.

*"Edgar come in you there? Do we have any prison cells that might be able hold 3 supers? Come back?"*

*"Not at this time, sir. Such technological feats are beyond my current ability to fabricate."*

*"Flux, Its a no go on the cells. I got an idea though. Could put them in the well and freeze it over with them in it unless you got any better ideas."*

*"Don't think the well is big enough for all of them, Frost. See if the medical people from Sanctuary have any ideas on keeping Supers asleep for a while. Edgar, any thoughts along that line?"
"If that's no go, then bring them to PRIMUS after all. We'll have to get their holding cells refurbished quickly somehow."*

Hurm, if Harpy is calmer now maybe we can strike a deal with her to keep the prisoners quiet without harming them. May be the best thing for her too. A job and a chance to fit in somewhere.

Archangel Speaks:


The Winged Young Champion will say to his charming and charged companion, "It seems to me that this mass illusion is being created by the frantic gentleman below. It also seems to me that we can bring down the curtain on this show by knocking him out."

Drawing his sword, Archangel will fly in and smack the guy with the flat of the blade. He's no trying to seriously hurt him, just put him into la-la land so that his Hollywood production can shut down.

Tesla:

"Definitely worth a shot," Tesla says, finding support in his disbelief of the scene. She didn't think it was real, but it looked so real....

Tesla will fly in lower, ready to follow up if Archangel looks like he'll be needing help. She's also pretty convinced that the lady down there is Lily, but she's still not 100% certain, but will remain aware in case she needs to pull one of them out of there if this illusion maker has any other tricks in his mind he might not be able to control.

As we move our captives toward the docks Frosty begins to consider Flux's purposal of putting them in a suspendend animation sleep. He wuickly grabs his radio with his free hand talking as they move,*"Edgar, Ask the medical team if they can put these supers to sleep for a while. If they can we willt ake them to back to the castle. If They cannot can you redirect our floating disk to the Primus base?"*

Lily:

Seeing Archangel approach with his sword at the ready, Lily maneuvers between the winged youth and the strange man. "No! That's not the answer, Archangel! No one is being hurt; he just needs to work through his fear."
