Acerion:
Seeing as how it is a pyre that will be built, Acerion will help as needed and then stand with Corley for show of support until it is the appropriate time to depart and finish up with the evening activities.
"Thank you, Lord Acerion," Ivy will gratefully say. "I had the feeling that it was you. I am thankful that you were not seriously injured. All this death and destruction from a goddess spurned. It is so senseless…"
Acerion will be surprised that Ivy seemed to know it was him, but her words warm him. "I am glad you were not injured too severely either. Indeed it does seem senseless with all the deaths that occured today, but who can say what drives higher powers to do what they do. At times though, they seem to possess the best and worst of mortal emotions. At least take comfort in the knowledge that we stopped the loss of additional lives, fair Ivy. The few steeds that were lost in the final battle were an unfortunate circumstance, but the toll rose no higher thanks to everyone working together to quickly vanquish our foes."
Since Ivy is receptive to company, Acerion does not leave her side for quite some time. It is actually quite late when they finally say their good nights. Acerion will be staying within Sherwood's structure, and will see if either or both Sherwood or Validar are still awake at the late hour. Otherwise he will seek them out in the morning. Either way he will just confirm our new course of action and see if there is any news that should be known.
The last thing Acerion does before sleep claims him is to make sure his arms and armor, and his warhorse's barding, are all tended to and laid out for the morning. Acerion will tend to his horse more thoroughly in the morning since the hour has become so late.
New Frontiers #20
VALIDAR -
Once it is decided to have a funeral pyre for Charger and the other horses, Validar will assist with the preparations. Once completed and the fire begins to claim the horses' bodies, Validar will stand behind Lord Corley with his hand on his friend's shoulder.
"Yes, he did, Validar. I am ashamed that he fell due to my own careless actions. I sometimes think that nothing can seriously harm me, but forget about those around me. Charger fell because of my own actions."
"We live a violent life, my friend. Many of us will die in battle. There are many reasons why the actions that happened went the way they did."
Validar will eat heartily of the evening meal. The cold weather and combat has only seemed to increase his appetite. Later he will care for his armor and weapons, giving them special attention after being exposed to the snowstorm. He will retire to Sherwood's cabin for the evening, seeing that the other cabin has already been nearly filled.
After dinner, Grondar will take the time to visit every member of the group to determine the need for further healing.
"I thank you for your concern, my dwarven friend, but I do not require healing assistance. No slight to you personally, but I prefer to not have spells cast upon my person. My body's reaction to the cold aura of those Frost Lizards has been remedied."
Sherwood will consider for a moment. "Unless someone is in dire need of healing right now, I'm of a mind to save the potions and using your patron given powers come the morning. Save the potions for an emergency, since anyone can give them to someone who is wounded."
"I would concur as well. We have but a 1/2 day's ride to Ansimont and another evening of rest there. And no one seems to be woefully wounded now that the healers have done their work. "
"While with the Seekers, there was at least one point that we had no healers among the main party, due to splitting up or incapacitation. Having potions of healing available may be the difference between someone's life and death. The healer's spells are replenishable."

Validar is likely asleep if the hour is too late when Acerion comes by, but in the morning the noble warrior will confirm their plans. "We are travelling to Ansimont, which was already on our desired path, to assist in the internment of Lyonessa's fallen comrades. As Grondar has some personal business to attend to, as well as needing to replace our fallen mounts, we will stay in Ansimont until the following morning. We can replenish supplies there and stay in a decent inn for the night. Anyone who has personal business they wish to attend to should have time to complete it."

Conquer or Die!
Lyonessa:
After dinner, Kylie will take the time to greet Lyonessa. "Hello, Lyonessa. My name is Kylie Lanthorn. Welcome to our group, which seems to be growing steadily in size," she says with a smile.
such a wonderful fare for those who travel. if only we had such finery Lyonessa thinks after taking a large meal and having such dwellings to pass away the night with. "Thank you for the welcome, Kylie Lanthorn. Everyone has seemed quite nice and accomidating and it is working to lift my spirits from such a dreadful day."
Lyonessa, having helped gather the bodies and looked them to find anything useful, feels saddened at being reduced to picking the bones so to speak. She is aware though that anything her old group may have possessed could prove life saving in the future and should not be wasted. Also a count of the remaining horses from her group, hopefully finding her own still alive, should help with the burden of making the remaining travel and offset those lost by this group.
Come nightfall, she will find a quiet space in Sherwood's dwelling to work on some verses for a ballad, to retell the tale of the fateful battle on the frozen plain. Lyonessa will also begin to sing a few verses of the gallant rescue and battle against the ice Dragon, but will keep the volume low while searching out the appropriate words worthy for such heroic deeds. maybe combine the two in an epic ballad worthy of those who passed and those who were victorious. both fought valiantly and deserve to be remembered and celebrated. it is the least I can do for all
The next morning finds Lyonessa helping prepare the bodies for travel to their final resting place. Any items she found yesterday will be stored in her saddlebags and spoken about with this group regarding disposition once the tasks at Ansimont are achieved.
