The Sylvan Realm #21 (#65)

Sylvan Realm #21 (#65)

December 2nd, CR 571 or Deepnight 24th, 20,519 AP

The Rainbow Bridge has opened and some 1300 elves have crossed over to make new lives in the Sylvan Realm. Some have come to restore their Clan Holds, whole others seek to protect this ancient forest or serve in other capacities.

Elder Treelife:
Laucian wrote:“Strangest of all is they burrowed into your brain, controlled you and changed you into one of them.”he says simply. “That would have been Chandra’s fate.” He says stoically to his clan elder. “It is a fate far worse than death.”
The Elder flashes a disgusted look as Laucian tells him about the Hive. “Horrid! Simply horrid! I trust this evil was dealt with?”
Laucian wrote:“Aye, Sana and Conall, they just appeared one day. I have heard of their loyalty and compassion as well as their ferocity in battle. Ehlonna has blessed me in ways I never imagined.”he says simply a smile etching across his features.
“Fine animals they are,” the Elder notes as he bends down to examine the cooshee's closer. “We have had few of them around Ainsun, but not this many.”
Laucian wrote:“There is a chance we may meet centaurs and brownies on our travels.
“How wonderful!” the Elder notes. “Centaurs are common enough in the Elfholds, but I didn't know they were common here as well.”
Laucian wrote:“She will see you as a friend perhaps an equal. By all means,” He looks to Aura and then to the Elder. “She was a gift from the heavens. Wait until you feel the wind upon your face and they will show you the world.” he says affectionately to the griffon. “It is the landing you have to look out for.”he says with a laugh as he recalls his first trip through the trees.
“Hello there, Aura,” the Elder says softly has he reaches out his hand and strokes Aura about the head and neck. “I look forward to it.”
Laucian wrote:“It makes sense. Though the geysers are the griffons hunting ground. Our kin shall know not to let their mounts wonder. It will be good to have our people home once again.”
“We can always follow the edge of the forest until the road picks up again,” the Elder suggests. “Having you along to show us any dangers along the way would be most welcomed.”

In the meeting area of the Golden Griffons, Elder Treelife is introduced to Allurien Feador and Dyradyl Feador.
Laucian wrote:The soft footfalls can be heard as other elves begin to come into the Golden Griffons. “Allurien.”He says with the nod of his head as he sees the elf with her and is soon introduced. “Well met Dyradyl, I am Laucian Nailo of Clan Grunalf and Golden Griffons. I trust you know Elder Treelife.” He says simply as he puts out his arm in greeting.
“I have heard of your exploits, Allurien,” the Elder says with a slight bow. “It is an honor to finally meet you, good lady.”

“Elder,” Allurien answers with her own slight bow.

“No, I have not had the pleasure,” Dyradyl adds. “Well met, Elder.”
Laucian wrote:Looking to Elder Treelife, “We will have to see to the Clan needs after the meeting.”
“That sounds fine,” the Elder says. “This should be something to behold.”

Kings and Queens:
Lilia wrote:“They are griffon riders,” Lilia easily explains. “The griffons in the Sylvan Realm were magically changed by our ancestors. They can understand us and are always friendly to an elf. They are a form of aerial heavy cavalry and long distance scouts.”
“Most impressive!” King Miritar says. “So you have encountered these griffons before? Rode them?”
Lilia wrote:“We did not get to see much of it when we were there a few weeks ago,” Lilia adds. “Next time I hope to see all of it.”
“Perhaps you will get your wish,” King Miritar states as he hands over the wooden box to Lilia.
Lilia wrote:“Yes, I do know what these are,” Lilia will say to King Miritar. “The Elfin Palace is not a single structure, rather it is a series of areas built high the trees that are connected by portals. These portals appear in the trunks of the trees when you have one of these pendants. These pendants will allow us to access all areas of the Elfin Palace. Thank you for this wonderful gift!”
“That does sound amazing,” King Miritar notes. “Tree top areas connected by portals. You are welcome, although all I did was return what properly belongs here in the Sylvan Realm.”
Lilia wrote:Lilia starts to hand off the box to someone else when she realizes that she does not have a entourage like the King of the Elfholds does. Instead she will gesture for Andlin to come closer.

“Will you please hold on to this for me?” Lilia asks. “The contents are very valuable!”
Andlin had been standing close by, but not too close to overhear the conversations. He comes forth and accepts the box. “It would be my honor, Your Majesty,” Andlin declares. He then proceeds to follow the King and Queen as they make their rounds box in hand.
Lilia wrote:After conversing for a while, we move off to round up all the members of the Clan Council. Allurien and Kyle are the first up. King Miritar is surprised to learn that half-elves were among the Chosen.

As we depart from Allurien and Kylie, Lilia adds, “Yes, as Kylie noted, there were more half-elves than full elves among the Chosen. In fact the other two have drow ancestors. One of them, Lia was turned into a full drow as her reward for restoring the Mother Tree. She wanted to honor her grandmother. It seems to me that the All-Father is not as hung up on half-elves and drow as many elves are.”
“Drow ancestry among the Chosen?” King Miritar repeats in surprise. “We had no idea who made up the Chosen. I, like most I assume, figured that they would all be elves. Yes, clearly the All-Father is more opened minded than his children.”

Klovar:
Valena wrote:“While I am unsure how many unicorns there are in the Sylvan Realm,” Valena notes, “I have seen a family of three at one time. It was a majestic sight that I will never forget."
“An entire family?” Klovar says in awe. “Truly you were blessed to see such a thing!”
Valena wrote:“Our ancestors trained them,” Valena explains. “They can understand us and are friendly to elves. To other races not so much.”
“I understand,” Klovar answers. “Clearly we from the Elfholds did not know as much about the Sylvan Realm as we had thought.”

After conversing for a time, Valena leads Klovar to the Golden Griffons gathering area where many elves are starting to form.
Laucian wrote:Extending his arm to the druid, Laucian smiles in greeting. “Klovar, Welcome to the Sylvan Realm I don’t believe I have ever met a druid before. You are in for a treat, Forest Brother. The shrine is very beautiful and it’s inhabitants are very majestic.“
The Druid grasps hands with Laucian. “Well met, Forest Brother. Valena here has been filling me in on the details about the shrine and those who call it home. I do look forward to traveling there in the morning. Will you be able to join us?”
Laucian wrote:He looks to Valena for a moment then looks back to the druid. Honestly I am not entirely sure.” He says simply, “Judging by the new council members and Elder Treelife… perhaps a meeting of both counsels?”
“Most likely,” Klovar agrees. “The requirements for being a druid have grown more lax as time has gone on. Because of this more druids should be appearing. In actuality, I am not much different than other priests of the Lady of the Forests. I can simply assume animal forms.”
Onas wrote:The next to enter is Valena. Seeing her, Onas cannot help but smile. He gives her a nod in greeting as well, then joins her and Laucian when she introduces a druid of Ehlonna. Hoping that he's not being too forward, Onas offers his hand in greeting. "Well met, Klovar. I must admit to having met few druids. I'm Onas Brightsword, a priest of Angharradh." If the opportunity presents itself, he will introduce himself similarly to Elder Treelife.
“An honor, Onas,” Klovar says in greeting. “Have you come to tend to the Temple of the One and the Tree?”

“Hello,” Elder Treelife will say when introduced to Onas.

Clan Feador:
Kylie wrote:Surprise registers momentarily in Kylie's eyes. "1300?! That is far more than I had anticipated! We should be able to achieve far more here in the days ahead, with that many people Sounds like Clan Feador is one of the smaller groups, then, though there are a number of us here already."
“We are the smallest of the seven clans in the Elfholds,” Dyradyl notes. “But as you said, we already have a sizable amount of kin already here in the Sylvan Realm. Clan Feador might now have the highest population in this land.”
Kylie wrote:Kylie's left eyebrow arches when this new king expresses surprise regarding her half-elven nature. "You're welcome, King Miritar. In truth, there were two other half-elves, Lia and Talen, among the five Chosen. You may find them interesting to meet," Kylie concludes with a smile. She cannot help but wonder what he might think of the half-drow twins; one of which is now full drow.
“I had no idea,” King Miritar admits. “Yes, I had hoped to visit and thank all of the Chosen for what you have done for the elfin people.”

After speaking to the current king of the Elfholds, Kylie spots the former king and approaches.
Kylie wrote:"It was my pleasure to aid the Sylvan Realm," Kylie responds. "It is a beautiful land. And I'm honored that you remember me, Doriath; it was from that meeting that I was able to recognize you just now."
“When you are in the position I used to be in, you have to remember names and faces,” Doriath says with a grin. He pauses to look out over the Sylvan Realm for this position high on top of the Mother Tree. “Yes, this land is beautiful. I look forward to seeing more of it.”
Kylie wrote:A smile creeps across her face. "So many people desire to rule others, yet you seem quite happy to no longer be king. Surely there is an interesting tale there?"
“Not as interesting as it might seem,” Doriath easily answers. “Do not let this youthful appearance fool you. I am old and while I may not look it, I am starting to feel the passage of years. I had been king for over 200 years. And for 200 years before that I was an adviser to the previous king, Celedryl. Before that I traveled and adventured extensively. I have lived a long, full life. The time has come to step back, let others lead and to just enjoy the days I have left. To that end I have come to the Sylvan Realm to take in this land. I have also offered my services as adviser to your Queen Allandros. Perhaps my wisdom can be useful to her.”

Xavier:
Lia wrote:“What brought you to the Elfholds?” she asks curiously.
“I had heard so much about it, that I had to look around for myself,” Xavier explains. “No one seemed to mind.”
Lia wrote:“No thank you, Xavier. You have brought sunlight on a dark subject.”
“Oh,” Xavier answers in mild surprise. “Glad to be of service!”

Clan Red Arrow:
Onas wrote:"He knew, and did not care, thinking himself greater still," Onas responds in a matter-of-fact tone.
“As I said before,” Redsword notes, “never put yourself above the mission. It just makes the fall all that much farther.”
Onas wrote:Onas pauses to think for a moment. "Argus, it has been my experience in my short time here that very little here is as it first seems. As long as you are willing to think carefully before making decisions and not follow Chandra down his unfortunate path, then I have no objection to you leading our clan."
“Thank you for votes of confidence,” Argus answers as he grasps hands with both of the Brightswords . “I will endeavor to live up to your expectations.”

“Onas, you asked me about supplementing your Forest Riders before,” Argus continues. “About fifty riders with elfin horses crossed over with me. He had thought we were coming to serve under Chandra, but clearly that will not come to pass. Plans have changed and with me becoming Clan Master they will need a new commander. It seems only logical to me that you fill that role and that they become the first of the Forest Riders.”

King Miritar and Queen Allandros come over to converse and to alert the Clan Masters of an impending meeting.
Lilia wrote:“Welcome to the Sylvan Realm, Clan Master,” Lilia says in greeting. Lilia is most curious what the Clan Master of Red Arrow is going to say, since he most likely has heard about Chandra's fate. Lilia will let him make the first move.
“Thank you, Your Majesty,” Clan Master Redsword Truetalker says with a bow. “I am pleased to finally see this land for myself. May I introduce Argus Bloodmoon. He will be my counterpart here on the Sylvan Realm.”

“Your Majesty,” Argus says respectfully. “I look forward to working with you to protect this holy land.”

“We have been made aware of what Chandra has done,” Redsword continues. “I assure you, what he did was done without my knowledge or consent. The safety of the Mother Tree was paramount, not pursuing an enemy already fleeing our forests.”

The Clan Council:

More and more people gather in the meeting area of the Golden Griffons. This area has been used by the Clan Council since it was reformed. Lilia has arrived and she spots Elder Treelife.
Lilia wrote:“Elder!” Lilia happily calls out. “It is so good to see you again. What brings you to the Sylvan Realm?”
“Hello, child,” Elder Treelife answers as he returns the hug. “I've been hearing some stories about you, Lilia. Gone and became a Priest of Corellon and even become Queen! My, how you have grown up!”

Laucian wrote:“Well met, King Miritar,” He says with a slight bow. “May your reign be fruitful and peaceful.” He says simply.
“Thank you,” King Miritar answers. “I am told that you are the master of griffons here? I think many of us who are just visiting from the Elfholds would love the chance to ride a griffon while we are here. Can that be arranged?”
Laucian wrote:“Has Doriath passed on?” he asks curiously.
“No,” King Miritar simply states. “An elf serves as king or queen for as long as they wish. Doriath merely stepped down and is easing into retirement. He traveled with us to the Sylvan Realm. In fact, he offered his services as an adviser to your queen.”

Lilia spots Lia around the edges of the chamber and calls to her.
Lilia wrote:When Lilia sees her, she will gesture for Lia to come closer. “This is Lia,” Lila states to those around here who do not know. “She was another of the Chosen who restored the Mother Tree. She was originally a half-elf with drow ancestry, but was changed into a full drow by the elfin gods as her reward.”
There are a few noticeable gasps from the assembled crowd. Those already in the know are quiet.
Lia wrote:Taking a deep breath, Lia lowers her cowl and shakes free her silver hair. She smiles at those gathered ignoring the shocked looks as the thoughts of Xavier’s words come to her mind.

“Pleasure to meet your acquaintance.” She says bowing ever so slightly, her lavender eyes taking in those before her.
An uneasy quiet comes over the area. It is a silence that is finally broken when Elder Treelife comes up to Lia.

“Thank you for all that you have done for the Mother Tree,” the Elder easily states and then gives Lia a hug! “We are forever in your debt.”

That breaks the ice and others, including King Miritar himself, come up to Lia and offer their thanks. Some elves are cool to Lia, but none are rude.

Not long after that, the combined Council meeting is called to order. The various Clan Masters pair off so that everyone can tell who is from which clan. By now, more elves have filled into the area. Elora is present so that she can record this historic event as is Lorelei. Andlin keeps close to Queen Allandros, but not too close. He seems to be carrying a fine wooden box with him. It looks something like a jewelry box.

The first order of business is to fill the empty seats on the Sylvan Realm Council. Argus Bloodmoon becomes the Clan Red Arrow Clan Master. Wyndel Goldenleaf takes that position for Clan Long Runner.

With a full council in place, matters turn to the election of the Head of the Council. Not surprisingly, Allurien is elected to this position by nearly a landslide! Only Stobon voted for someone else, himself. Allurien accepts and as part of her new position, has to resign from Clan Feador as she now represents all elves in the Sylvan Realm. Sheedra Feador takes Allurien's spot as Feador Clan Master for the Sylvan Realm. She was among those who came over the Rainbow Bridge just an hour ago.

With a full council now set, attention is focused on Queen Allandros as the Elfholds Council and the newly seated council members wish to be brought up to date on what is going on in the Sylvan Realm.

GM Notes:

Each clan has their own set of Elders. Treelife is an Elder for Clan Grunalf, so everyone in Clan Grunalf is aware of him. Those from other clans, not so much. The Clan Elders are actually the ones who raise the children of the Clan, not their parents. Each Elder tends to a small group of children, teaching them. Once the children are old enough they move on a different Clan Elder. So in a sense, many elves are closer to the Clan Elders than their own parents!

Here is a break down of the Clan Councils for the Sylvan Realm and the Elfholds:

Elfholds:

Monarch: King Miritar

Head of the Clan Council: Nilat Blackwood

Chossum Clan Master: Lynwyln Chossum

Erendyl Clan Master: Brendian

Feador Clan Master: Dyradyl Feador

Grunalf Clan Master: Durifern

Long Runner Clan Master: Beasthunter

Mealidil Clan Master: Mealidan Mealidil

Red Arrow Clan Master: Redsword Truetalker

Sylvan Realm:

Monarch: Queen Allandros

Head of the Clan Council: Allurien Feador

High Keeper of the Mother Tree: Alanik Feador

Chossum Clan Master: Voluril Ocing

Erendyl Clan Master: Stobon

Feador Clan Master: Sheedra Feador

Grunalf Clan Master: Triestar Silvarost

Long Runner Clan Master: Wyndel Goldenleaf

Mealidil Clan Master: Olantius Jasus

Red Arrow Clan Master: Argus Bloodmoon

Kylie Lanthorn of Clan Feador:
Dyradyl wrote:“We are the smallest of the seven clans in the Elfholds,” Dyradyl notes. “But as you said, we already have a sizable amount of kin already here in the Sylvan Realm. Clan Feador might now have the highest population in this land.”
"I did not know that," Kylie replies. "I have only been to the Elfholds briefly the one time before starting this quest." A moment passes as she considers. "Perhaps it is appropriate that we are one of the larger clans here, then. Though how that may change over time is anyone's guess."

===
Miritar wrote:“I had no idea,” King Miritar admits. “Yes, I had hoped to visit and thank all of the Chosen for what you have done for the elfin people.”
It occurs to Kylie that the king may have difficulty completing his intention. "I'm sure Lia and Talen are around the area, so you may well meet them. However, we have not seen Nariya in quite some time, so I don't know if you will have the opportunity to give her your thanks."

As Lilia and Miritar leave, Kylie overhears the queen introducing Miritar to the idea that drow heritage was among those Chosen by Corellon. A smile glides across her face as she turns away.

===
Doriath wrote:“When you are in the position I used to be in, you have to remember names and faces,” Doriath says with a grin. He pauses to look out over the Sylvan Realm for this position high on top of the Mother Tree. “Yes, this land is beautiful. I look forward to seeing more of it.”
Doriath's assertion makes a lot of sense. "I can see where that would be a valuable skill in that role."
Doriath wrote:“Not as interesting as it might seem,” Doriath easily answers. “Do not let this youthful appearance fool you. I am old and while I may not look it, I am starting to feel the passage of years. I had been king for over 200 years. And for 200 years before that I was an adviser to the previous king, Celedryl. To that end I have come to the Sylvan Realm to take in this land. I have also offered my services as adviser to your Queen Allandros. Perhaps my wisdom can be useful to her.”
"So you're staying! That's wonderful, Doriath." Kylie smiles brightly upon hearing the news and floats a few inches up off the ground in her excitement without realizing it. "Lilia will benefit greatly from having you as an advisor. I also hope to be able to advise her in some areas, though I certainly do not have your extensive experience."

"Besides, this will give you time to see more of this land as you wished. Perhaps we will even get to visit some of it together. There are vast areas of the Realm that we have not yet explored."

Onas Brightsword:
Redsword Truthtalker wrote:“As I said before,” Redsword notes, “never put yourself about the mission. It just makes the fall all that much farther.”
"Words to live by, Clan Master."
Argus wrote:“Thank you for votes of confidence,” Argus answers as he grasps hands with both of the Brightswords . “I will endeavor to live up to your expectations.”
Onas returns the gesture firmly, as befits a warrior. "We will all strive to help you find the true path."
Argus wrote:“Onas, you asked me about supplementing your Forest Riders before,” Argus continues.
"Fifty!" Onas is struck dumb for a moment as the enormity of his new responsibility hits him. After a second or two, he recovers his senses and speech. "I thank you for your faith in me, Argus. I hope I can count on you for some advice in finding my path as commander of the Forest Riders, as well."

As they leave the area around the Rainbow Bridge to gather in the Golden Griffons meeting area, Onas slips away to greet his dear friend and brother Carad Orod. "I have missed you greatly, my friend," he says as he strokes the great steed's neck. "I think you will enjoy the Sylvan Realm, and we shall have a great life here." Since he needs to catch up with the others, Onas makes sure that one of the others from his clan to see to Carad Orod's stabling and comfort. He leaves with a promise to return later that day.

===
Klovar wrote:“An honor, Onas,” Klovar says in greeting. “Have you come to tend to the Temple of the One and the Tree?”
"That may well become one of my duties, once we locate it," Onas says as he tries to comprehend how that might impact his responsibilities to the queen in developing the Forest Riders. "It may also depend on who else among her faithful have come here, as another may be better qualified to be her head priest in the Realm."
Laucian wrote:“I trust all is well with your counterpart, Onas. He seemed very vexed upon hearing of Chandra's los"s to Lilia.
Onas meets the older warrior's eyes. "I believe so. Once he understood what really happened and how Chandra went astray, his perspective altered dramatically. Apparently, Chandra had filled his head with visions of battle and glory, and he was thrown by the reality being very different from his expectations."

As the council meeting gets underway, Onas finds a comfortable place from which to observe the proceedings. This is a new experience for him, and he needs to pay careful attention to the discussion.

Lilia:
King Miritar wrote:“Most impressive!” King Miritar says. “So you have encountered these griffons before? Rode them?”
“Several times,” Lilia explains. “They are loyal and protective to elves, but fierce enemies to all others. They made our mission to restore the Mother Tree much easier. We encountered rocs as well. Many of them aided in the final battle and later bore us when the time came to remove the enemy forts after the Mother Tree had been restored.”
Andlin wrote:Andlin had been standing close by, but not too close to overhear the conversations. He comes forth and accepts the box. “It would be my honor, Your Majesty,” Andlin declares. He then proceeds to follow the King and Queen as they make their rounds box in hand.
“Thank you,” Lilia says with a smile. She's not quite used to Andlin always being close by, but decides that she does not mind his attention.
King Miritar wrote:“Drow ancestry among the Chosen?” King Miritar repeats in surprise. “We had no idea who made up the Chosen. I, like most I assume, figured that they would all be elves. Yes, clearly the All-Father is more opened minded than his children.”
“That he is,” Lilia agrees. “There was even a human with us: Sherwood Elf-Friend. Our mission would not have reached a successful completion without his aid.”
Redsword wrote:“Thank you, Your Majesty,” Clan Master Redsword Truetalker says with a bow. “I am pleased to finally see this land for myself. May I introduce Argus Bloodmoon. He will be my counterpart here on the Sylvan Realm.”
Argus wrote:“Your Majesty,” Argus says respectfully. “I look forward to working with you to protect this holy land.”
“That is my hope was well,” Lilia agrees.
Redsword wrote:“We have been made aware of what Chandra has done,” Redsword continues. “I assure you, what he did was done without my knowledge or consent. The safety of the Mother Tree was paramount, not pursuing an enemy already fleeing our forests.”
“I am relieved to hear that,” Lilia admits. “I was very disappointed by his actions. Some twenty-five elves perished due to his obsession. I can assure you gentlemen that when the time for action comes, I will be swift and decisive. The Mother Tree has been restored, but she is not safe. There are more dangers to come.”
Elder Treelife wrote:“Hello, child,” Elder Treelife answers as he returns the hug. “I've been hearing some stories about you, Lilia. Gone and became a Priest of Corellon and even become Queen! My, how you have grown up!”
“It's all true,” Lilia says with a laugh. “No, I never could have imagined that my path would have lead here when I left to go on Sherwood Elf-Friends mission. Are you planning to stay in the Sylvan Realm, Elder?”
An uneasy quiet comes over the area. It is a silence that is finally broken when Elder Treelife comes up to Lia.

“Thank you for all that you have done for the Mother Tree,” the Elder easily states and then gives Lia a hug! “We are forever in your debt.”
Lilia actually holds her breath hoping that someone will not cause a scene, but thankfully it is not to be. Elder Treelife shows no fear of the half-elf who became a drow and thanks her. Lilia lets out a small sigh of relief and allows herself to breath once more.

The two sets of Clan Councils settle down for business with many onlookers. Filling the missing positions on the Sylvan Realm councils is the first order of business. Argus Bloodmoon will speak for Clan Red Arrow as Lilia learned earlier. Wyndel Goldenleaf takes that position for Clan Long Runner. After that comes the debate for Head of the Clan Council. Lilia is pleased that Allurien is rewarded with that position.

“We will work well together,” Lilia thinks to herself. While Lilia is responsible for goes on outside the Sylvan Realm, Allurien will be in charge with what happens inside her borders.
Either by my magic or my bow you WILL fall!

With a full council now set, attention is focused on Queen Allandros as the Elfholds Council and the newly seated council members wish to be brought up to date on what is going on in the Sylvan Realm.
Lilia takes a deep breath while trying to put her thoughts into order. Where to begin? At the beginning of course.

“Its been a long and twisted road to reach this point, my friends,” Lilia explains. “It seems like a lifetime ago when Elder Treelife insisted that I leave home to go aid Sherwood Elf-Friend on a quest into the human lands. It was on this quest that I befriended Kylie Lanthorn and Laucian Nailo. Little did we realize that our simple mission would end with us repelling the Dark One, He-Who-Must-Not -Be-Named. The Dark One tempted me by offering all that I, at that time, desired.”

“It was at that time, at that moment of weakness, that I first felt the divine presence of Corellon Larethian. He said to me, 'Those who crave power are consumed by it'. Words to remember. Words to live by. His words put me back on the right path and we rebuked the Dark One and his temptations. After that, I left that group to go on a separate mission. Earlier in our quest, we had learned of an elf maiden named Nightmist who we believed had important information. Together with Kylie and Sherwood Elf-Friend we set off to find Nightmist. We were aided by others, but most important among them was Nariya a trailblazer.”

“In time we found ourselves in the Lost Valley where we believed Nightmist lived. We came across Lia and Talen, half-elves that we later learned were cousins to Sherwood Elf-Friend. We also learned that this Nightmist was one of those rare good drow Priestess of Eilistraee. She had a child with Sherwood's grandfather and that is how they were related. Unknown to any of us the Chosen as we came to be called were all in the Lost Valley. Kylie has asked Nightmist if she could do a divination concerning her missing mother. Nightmist agreed, but when she cast her spell it was twisted by divine forces into something all together different. Energy struck us and we went elsewhere.”

Those who were struck by the divine energy find themselves in a different place. They are in a sylvan glade deep within great elfin forest. Trees wider and taller than any of you, with the exception of Lilia, have ever seen surround you. The full-blooded elves sense that they are in a great elfin forest, while the half-elves can feel something special is here. Your movements seem slow and this all has a strange dream-like quality to it.

“Welcome children of my blood,” a warm voice calls out. The speaker sounds male and is known to Lilia.

Turning you see an incredibly tall elf (seven feet tall!) approaching. He possesses unearthly grace and beauty. Coming to a stop he casts his gaze on Lilia. All you look upon the elf with great awe and find yourselves unable to even speak.

“Forgive me daughter for using you in this way, but it was necessary. Since I touched you before, it was easier for me to do so again.”

Turning away from Lilia, the elf looks upon Kylie.

“Your mother, more properly known as Allurien Feador, was sent away on a mission of great import to the elfin people with others. They failed and those who followed also failed. A new approach is needed and you five will form the backbone of this effort.”

“The Mother Tree wilts and will die soon unless you can reach her. To help you restore the Mother Tree, I will impart a tiny bit of my essence into each of you, my children. It will be channeled into the Mother Tree and she will be restored to her full glory.”

The tall elf than holds his hand out and a small bolt of divine energy strikes each of you in turn. The energy is warm and more wonderful than anything you could imagine. Having imparted is divine energy the tall elf turns and begins to depart.

“Farewell my children. Until we meet again…”

The tall elf vanishes and the sylvan glade begins to fade. But before it does, Lia sees another figure off in the distance. She stands in the shadows of the tree and is just as tall as the male elf was. Long silvery hair streams out behind her on the soft breeze. She nods to Lia and then is gone. The vision ends for all.

“Yes, he called us all his children,” Lilia stresses. “Even those who are only half-elven. And should that surprise us? Corellon own daughter, Ehlonna, is reputed to be the very first half-elf. No this point should not be a surprise. Indeed, we should feel shame for how some of us elves have treated our half-elf cousins.”

“But even more than that, the All-Father refereed to Lia and Talen as Children of his Blood as well. Not only does he consider half-elves to be his children, but those of drow descent as well. That encounter has given me much to consider.”

“From there our quest to save the Mother Tree began. A new approach was needed since the past efforts to save the Mother Tree had failed. To that end our band change members as non-elves, apart from Sherwood Elf-Friend could not come with us to the Sylvan Realm. That is when Laucian and Valena joined our quest.”

“Sherwood's uncle, Lord Sharadin, had a method for us to reach the Sylvan Realm. He had in his possession a magic item called the Crown of the Stars. This crown could cause a sailing ship to rise up into the sky and fly like a bird! We loaded up a flat bottom barge and using the Crown sailed through the air to reach the Sylvan Realm.”

“Along the way, we spotted the wreckage of a another sailing ship on high mountain cliffs. In this wreck we found a device called a Spell Engine. This Spell Engine would allow the barge to fly even faster and using it we reached the Sylvan Realm in just a week.”

“We arrived to find the Mother Tree missing. There was a crystal platform that needed medallions placed in it. We reasoned that we needed these medallions to reach the Mother Tree so that we could use the energy given to us by the All-Father to restore her. For the next few weeks we crossed the Sylvan Realm to locate these medallions.”

“It was then that we realized that we had to dare enter the Elfin Palace, the place that Moorkroft had made his lair. Moorkroft had the keys that we needed to restore the Mother Tree. We liberated the final keys, but too late my friends realized that it was all part of Moorkroft's plan. I had been captured by the fiend and he possessed me. So instead of rescuing me, they rescued Moorkroft instead!”

“The medallions were put into place and that's when Moorkroft appeared possessing my body. However, there were things that he could not have prepared for. The energy that the All-Father had given the Chosen had bonded us. While the others gathered their energy to assault Moorkroft, the All-Father spoke to me once more. He gave me the strength to resist our enemy and together the Chosen did battle Moorkroft on a mental plane. The villain was overwhelmed and his spirit destroyed.”

“Than in this mental plane, Corellon appeared once more. His daughter Ehlonna was there mounted on a unicorn. Eilistraee could be seen off in the distance. The All-Father thanked us for our efforts and we could pick our rewards. The All-Father already knew my deepest wish and he did transform me into a priestess of is faith. Lila wished to honor her grandmother Nightmist and was turned into a full drow by Eilistraee.”

“We returned to the real world and together when gave the energy given to us to restore the Mother Tree. She erupted from the ground, picking up the crystal platform in her passing. In the span of a heart beat, the Mother Tree grew from nothing to full size! The crystal platform was repaired and the Rainbow Bridge did come streaking across the sky. All those who passed over the Rainbow Bridge to save the Mother Tree had never arrived and had been inside it all this time. They felt no passage of time, but years had passed while they were inside. The Mother Tree was restored and the expeditions liberated.”

“Once all those within the Rainbow Bridge exited, it faded away. That right there should have told me that this was not the true arrival of the Rainbow Bridge as it allows passage both ways and lasts for half the daytime. Instead, it would appear at a later date which turned out to be today. In addition, all the Feador Elves still sleeping in the trees were released as well.”

“The Mother Tree had been restored, but new dangers arose. The enemy forces that Moorkroft had assembled saw the Mother Tree now towering over the Sylvan Realm. Their forts emptied out as orcs, humans and fire giants moved to attack. There were eleven forts and counting the Chosen, there were eleven elfin expeditions. Thus we quickly decided that each expedition was to go forth, repel the invaders and destroy their forts.”

“We rode griffons and a roc into the battle. We reached the enemy before they could reach the forest and they were easy pickings. Their fort fell some after that. However, some of the forts were very distant and the enemy did make it into our forest. After the initial attacks to take out the forts, many elves went on foot into the forest to take out our enemies. It took days, but the enemy was routed and all the forts destroyed.”

“We finally had some breathing space and could relax. The drive to form the Sylvan Realm council began. After completing that task, we voted to elect our Monarch. I beat Chandra by a single vote. Chandra in turn became the Head of the Clan Council. I decreed that we leave the orcs alone for now. They had fled and the Mother Tree would need time to regain her strength. Our only duty was to protect her until the Rainbow Bridge could open once more and relief could arrive.”

“Chandra was disappointed, but seemed to be carrying out his duties. However, come the next morning Chandra and many of the adventuring elves were gone. We assumed that he had departed on some sort of mission in the Sylvan Realm. Perhaps more orcs had been spotted. But this was not to be. We found out that Chandra and his allies has departed overnight on rocs. They flew to the north to where we believed the orcs lived. Messages and papers we found in the forts seemed to indicate this. Having several rocs show up to transport elves told me that Chandra had planned this all along. Even before we had formed the Clan Council.”

“I was angry and mounted an expedition to retrieve Chandra and his followers. Our goal was to rescue them and bring back as many elves as we could the Sylvan Realm. We departed the next morning and made our way to a place our ancestors called Crimson Crest.”

At this point, Lilia indicates the position of the outpost on the table top map.

“We believed that Chandra and those with him used Crimson Crest as a stop over on their journey to the orc stronghold. We reach the outpost after nightfall by griffon. We had passed beyond the Sylvan Realm and were now exposed to the normal weather conditions. It was cold and snowing. Crimson Crest stood out in the dark. It glowed a reddish color. This strange stone felt warm to the touch and we used the outpost to rest for the night. We found books inside that our ancestors used to observe the lands to the north. They recorded that back them there were a few patches of this strange stone to the north.”

“Deep inside the outpost, we found an elf that had been abandoned by Chandra. He was nearly comatose and we could not revive him. Healing magic could not help him. Like Chandra before us, we had no choice but to leave him at the outpost and pick him up on our way home.”

“After sunrise we were in for a surprise. Instead of a few places of glowing stone, an entire city of this stone now laid before us! I can only guess that the orcs found this ruin and started to dig it up. More importantly we could see elves and orcs fighting among the ruins. We mounted our griffons once more and flee further north.”

“As we got closer we could see several rocs were resting on the roof of large building. A few elves were there being attacked by a horde of orcs. We helped and routed the orcs. The elves there were guarding the rocs as they were the way home for those who had gone with Chandra.”

“We moved deeper into the ruins and found a tall tower that was still intact. A large battle had taken place around the base of this tower, but it had ended. We landed to explore and found the bodies of both elves and orcs. One of the downed orcs stirred and he sat up A strange bug was seated on his head and seemingly at the bug's direction the orc spoke! He said that we shall all join the Hive. The bug was slain and the orc fell back into death.”

“On the top of this tower an object called a Pillar Artifact by the humans was found. Similar objects had been discovered in the Frontier Lands before. The Pillar Artifact is powered by magic and can transport beings to a different Pillar Artifact. It's a form of teleportation. This city used to belong to the race the humans call the Elders.”

“Tremendous screams of pain drove us deeper into the tall tower. Much of it was still underground. As we went down the stairs, more orcs joined with bugs came up to challenge us. These bugs, this Hive, are parasites. They were changing the orcs into large bugs! These changelings were defeated and we moved deeper down the tower. Voices drew us to a balcony near the bottom of the tower that had been cleared of earth. Beyond the balcony was a plaza that had also been. There were many beings in this unearthed plaza, but what drew our attention was another Pillar Artifact, but this one was three times larger than the one at the top of the tower!”

“Down in this chamber the Hive were holding both orcs and elves captive. Before the prisoners was one we called the Hive Queen. To our immense surprise, this Hive Queen was known to us. A human invoker by name of Argent had traveled with the adventuring band that Kylie, Laucian, and myself had been in. This Argent had a silver bug in her hair!”

“As we watched in horror, a bug were placed on Chandra's head! The bug's limbs burrowed into his head to control him and join him to the Hive. It was this way that the Hive Queen learned of the Mother Tree and sought to possess it!”

“We were outnumber by this Hive. As we watched even more reinforcements arrive through the larger Pillar Artifact. I reasoned that if the earthen ceiling could be brought down, then all below could be buried and slain. The threat of this Hive would be at an end.”

“So that is what we planned to do. There were still elves and orcs down there uninfected with these Hive parasites. We planned to rescue them and other captives we had found. Kylie and I attacked from the balcony with spells to get the enemies attention. Laucian and Talen used this diversion to rescue to he elves down below, while Lia and Valena rescued other captives held in the Tall Tower.”

“The plan worked. Once the elves were clear and fleeing up the Tall Tower, we used spells to bring the ceiling down. We fled as the ceiling started to come down. We believed that anyone still in that chamber was crushed beneath the earth. That was the fate of the Hive Queen and Chandra.”

“The Hive had placed their female captives in a different area. Apparently, they were not suited to be changed into Hive. Among these prisoners were two unusual women. One was another Argent who did not have a bug on hear head. The other was an orc female who was not only intelligent but stood upright. This female orc could speak an older form of elvish! Her name was Myev.”

“We learned that these upright orcs called themselves the Scro. And that they were not from our world. They had arrived on a flying ship that was docked in the harbor further to the north. The male scro we had rescued attacked and we slew them. The orcs who lived in these ruins wisely fled.”

“We learned that the second Argent had arrived in these ruins by way of the Pillar Artifact. She was captured by the scro and kept alive as they though she could teach them to use the Pillar Artifact. Myev and Argent had become friends. These scro treated Myev poorly and she was happy to see them eliminated.”

“Myev told us the story on how the scro came to our world. On her world, a place they call Dreatar, the orcs there had wiped out the elves. She had learned to speak our tongue from books she found in ruins. One day a ship of elves came down from the sky. The scro killed them and took their ship. Myev piloted it to the place it had came from. But the scro were not very bright and their ship was destroyed. They stole another ship and Myev piloted here to our world and the ruins to the north. Myev said that she had books and scrolls that she had found in the ruins of the elves of her world. I felt it important that this knowledge of these forgotten elves must be recorded. Otherwise, they would be gone without a trace.”

“Valena led the elves we had rescued and the dead we could recover back to where the rocs were waiting. Night had fallen and come the morning they would ride back to the Sylvan Realm. But I was not ready to return just yet. The ship the scro had used to reach our world was in the harbor. It was called the Sunflower and was undoubtedly powered by Spell Engines. My plan was to capture the Sunflower and bring it back to the Sylvan Realm.”

“But things did not go as plan. Unknown to us, something in the ruins was calling Talen. He could no longer resist the call and rode a griffon further north in the ruins. We gave pursuit and our movement was noticed by the scro still on the Sunflower. We find Talen in a strange building. A snake-like tendril made of stone was wrapped around his head. The tendril holding him let go and he collapsed. I learned how to read the Elder script and discovered that this was a place of learning. The tendril taught Talen something, but what we could not be sure.”

“The remaining scro were easily defeated and we took the Sunflower. What we thought was a lighthouse at the end of the pier were the ship was docked was instead another Pillar Artifact, but one that was gigantic! But that was a mystery for another day. We took control of the Sunflower and flew it back to the Sylvan Realm, stopping to pick up the other elves at Crimson Crest along the way.”

“The journey that had taken us a day and half by griffon took only a few hours on the Sunflower. It was night when we reached the Sylvan Realm and we docked the Sunflower beside a griffon landing area. The Seeress Sheeryl Soulsearcher healed Talen and he regained consciousness. He seemed normal, but had no idea what the elder teaching columns did to him. Argent and Myev were my guests, but they had to remain on the Sunflower for now.”

“Next morning, we lower the Sunflower down to the river below the Mother Tree and dropped anchor. The ship was searched and several disturbing things were found. The Sunflower was owned by a Talagran Trading Company. While they mostly carried merchandise, they also were slavers who preyed on we elves. They had a potion that with enough doses would make an elf forget who they were. They considered such elves to be ideal servants who would live for generations. Sheeryl did a divination and these slavers were reach the Sylvan Realm in eight days. We believe that they are coming to get their ship back. But we have to believe that they will attempt to enslave us given that these are elf lands. I plan to be ready.”

“Our Scholar, Elora, spoke with Myev to learn more about the elves from her world. During this interview, Myev revealed that a large leaf had lead her to our world. A true elf knew what this leaf was. It was a leaf from the Mother Tree of this other world!”

“The leaf was brought to me and I took it to the High Keeper of the Tree. We met him in the Heart of the Tree. The High Keeper sensed that the leaf wanted to join with our Mother Tree. The leaf grafted itself to our Mother Tree and there was a burst of energy. It was much like when we restored the Mother Tree, but on a much smaller scale. To our astonishment, the Mother Tree formed eyes and mouth much like those of a treant.”

“The Mother Tree spoke to us. This leaf was a message from this other Mother Tree. It was a gift of energy to restore our Mother Tree and a message to help her children. Some of those fallen elves still live having merged with trees. But unless they are rescued soon, they will perish.”

“The Mother Tree than summoned Myev to the Heart of the Tree. She said that Myev had the spirit of an elf inside her. The Mother Tree offered to turn the scro into an elf and Myev accepted. The Mother Tree wrapped Myev up and branches and leaves and that's where she is right now.”

“Talen was summoned by the Mother Tree next. She said that Talen now knew how to use the devices left behind by the builders of the ruins. We took that to mean that Talen could use the Pillar Artifacts and other Elder devices. That's what he was taught by the teaching column. The Mother Tree gave Talen the way to reach this other world so that we could go there and save those elves. Than the Mother Tree said that the Rainbow Bridge would arrive today. She than closed her eyes and went back to sleep.”

“That covers about everything. My initial plan of action is to reclaim the Elfin Palace tomorrow. Than we shall return to the ruins to the north and see if the Hive has returned. When Talen is able, we shall travel to this other world to save or kin. Than we shall prepare for the arrival of the slavers. The Mother Tree has been restored, but she is not yet safe until these threats can be dealt with.”

“Any questions?”

Laucian
Laucian looks to Elder Treelife as they discuss the hive and the things that transpired there.
The Elder flashes a disgusted look as Laucian tells him about the Hive. “Horrid! Simply horrid! I trust this evil was dealt with?”
With a heavy heart, “Aye we saw it through till the end. We brought the roof down upon them many elves passed in a moment. Sadly there was nothing more we could have done to save them.”
“How wonderful!” the Elder notes. “Centaurs are common enough in the Elfholds, but I didn't know they were common here as well.”
“There is a herd here. We gained their trust when we rescued one of their kin. We rekindled our old treaties soon after. “
“We can always follow the edge of the forest until the road picks up again,” the Elder suggests. “Having you along to show us any dangers along the way would be most welcomed.”
“It seems the best course.”he agrees.
Soon enough others begin to enter the meeting hall. An Valena and the druid Klovar greet one another.
The Druid grasps hands with Laucian. “Well met, Forest Brother. Valena here has been filling me in on the details about the shrine and those who call it home. I do look forward to traveling there in the morning. Will you be able to join us?”
“I would like to. I have to see what time my Clan will be departing for Enisun as I promised to escort them there. Perhaps I can catch up with them.” He says simply, “As I would like to pay my respects to Ehlonna again.”
“Most likely,” Klovar agrees. “The requirements for being a druid have grown more lax as time has gone on. Because of this more druids should be appearing. In actuality, I am not much different than other priests of the Lady of the Forests. I can simply assume animal forms.”
“They would be most welcome.”he says in return, “That is a vast difference, .”he say with a chuckle and laugh. “It would give amazing insight to how animals interact. Is there a preference to what form you take?”he asks curiously, “Do you have certain markings that separate you out from a normal animal?”he asks curiously as the thought of being changed and hunted.
With King Miritar-
“Thank you,” King Miritar answers. “I am told that you are the master of griffons here? I think many of us who are just visiting from the Elfholds would love the chance to ride a griffon while we are here. Can that be arranged?”
“That is correct, When the Mother tree as freed. The Golden Griffons were remade as members of the rainbow elves came forth from their prison. I am sure that we can. Elder Treelife has already expressed interest in taking a ride on the Griffons. Perhaps you
would care to join us?”
“No,” King Miritar simply states. “An elf serves as king or queen for as long as they wish. Doriath merely stepped down and is easing into retirement. He traveled with us to the Sylvan Realm. In fact, he offered his services as an adviser to your queen.”
“Oh, I must have missed him in the masses. That is great news! I am sure Queen Lilia will welcome his experience and advice in her reign.” he adds.
An uneasy quiet comes over the area. It is a silence that is finally broken when Elder Treelife comes up to Lia.
An uneasy quiet comes over the area. It is a silence that is finally broken when Elder Treelife comes up to Lia.
“Thank you for all that you have done for the Mother Tree,” the Elder easily states and then gives Lia a hug! “We are forever in your debt.”
As Laucian watches the interaction between Lia and Elder Treelife. “He has always seen the good in people. Even when they do not see it themselves.” he thinks to himself as he slowly brings his hands together. Before he realizes what he is doing he begins to clap. “Well done, Lia.” He says softly. Others begin to come forward and in time Laucian does the same, “I’m proud of you.”he says simply.
Soon the call to the meeting to order
Laucian listens to the Queen as she brings the councel up to speed. As she recounts the trails of the Chosen and the Legacy of Chandra, Laucian merely watches and listens. It is only upon hearing of the slavers Laucian’s ears perk up. 8 days? “We will see to them.”he promises himself.
“I only have one question regarding the Slavers and the Sunflower. I wish to see to the defences of the Sunflower so that the Golden Griffons know how to better deal with our advisory in the air. If it pleases you your highness, I wish to ask for mages that would be willing to help in this matter.”

Lia
There are a few noticeable gasps from the assembled crowd. Those already in the know are quiet.
Lia hears the gasps and knows their shock as well as the hate that lurks beneath the surface. It is time to show them the ways of Eilistraee.
An uneasy quiet comes over the area. It is a silence that is finally broken when Elder Treelife comes up to Lia.
“Thank you for all that you have done for the Mother Tree,” the Elder easily states and then gives Lia a hug! “We are forever in your debt.”
Lia feels tense her palms begin to sweat having all eyes on her and the Queen. “They don’t know what to make of me.”she thinks to herself when movement catches her eye and she looks to it, Elder Treelife steps forward and Lia stares at him with lavender eyes as she mentally glances at the elf’s hands. A smile begins to etch across her lips as she feels his embrace.
As she backs away from the hug, “There is no debt as I see it. Every elf here would do as we have to preserve our way of life. But I appreciate your thanks.” She says humbly.
She will greet each in turn that give thanks for what the chosen has done. Even King Miritar steps forward and greets her. “King Miritar, I have heard of your ascent to the throne. Long shall you reign.”
Lia listens to the words of the Queen and at the end she asks question. She silently takes a step forward, her hand resting on her lion head pommel. “Where do we begin?” she says sternly though evenly.”
The last thing you shall hear is the bladesong of my sword.

Valena:
Klovar wrote:“I understand,” Klovar answers. “Clearly we from the Elfholds did not know as much about the Sylvan Realm as we had thought.”
“No we did not,” Valena agrees. “I struggle to find reason why we left the Sylvan Realm in the first place. It is such a wondrous place.”

After speaking with the Druid of Ehlonna, the pair go to speak with Laucian. Introductions are made.
Laucian wrote:Extending his arm to the druid, Laucian smiles in greeting. “Klovar, Welcome to the Sylvan Realm I don’t believe I have ever met a druid before. You are in for a treat, Forest Brother. The shrine is very beautiful and it’s inhabitant are very majestic.“
Klovar wrote:The Druid grasps hands with Laucian. “Well met, Forest Brother. Valena here has been filling me in on the details about the shrine and those who call it home. I do look forward to traveling there in the morning. Will you be able to join us?”
Laucian wrote:“I would like to. I have to see what time my Clan will be departing for Einsun as I promised to escort them there. Perhaps I can catch up with them.” He says simply, “As I would like to pay my respects to Ehlonna again.”
“I had not considered that,” Valena notes in regards to Laucian having clan business. “Fortunately, my Clan Hold is below us, so I do not have to travel with them. If they are traveling on foot, than it would be easy enough to catch up to them with Aura.”

“Plus there are the other followers of the Lady of the Forest already here in the Sylvan Realm who have yet to see her shrine,” Valena adds. “They should come along as well.”
Laucian wrote:“They would be most welcome.”he says in return, “That is a vast difference, .”he say with a chuckle and laugh. “It would give amazing insight to how animals interact. Is there a preference to what form you take?”he asks curiously, “Do you have certain markings that separate you out from a normal animal?”he asks curiously as the thought of being changed and hunted.
Those are points that Valena had not considered before. She is curious to hear the Druid's answer.

Politics take center stage as the rulers of the two elfin nations meet. Lilia introduces Lia to everyone and it seems to go well. Valena will nod approvingly towards Lia when their eyes meet.

Lilia then goes on a long speech about what had come to pass in regards to the Sylvan Realm. Valena had not realized just how many times Lilia has been touched by Corellon. It is now no mystery why she is where she is now. She is where the All-Father wants her to be. That just makes Chandra the bigger fool in her eyes.

When the time is right, Valena will call out, “The Silver Maidens will be where ever we are needed, My Queen.”

After the meeting has broken up, Valena will wander around trying to locate all the other followers of Ehlonna so that they can be made aware of the trip to the shrine.

Onas Brightsword:
Lilia wrote:“I am relieved to hear that,” Lilia admits. “I was very disappointed by his actions. Some twenty-five elves perished due to his obsession. I can assure you gentlemen that when the time for action comes, I will be swift and decisive. The Mother Tree has been restored, but she is not safe. There are more dangers to come.”
'Twenty-five elves...' He had known that some elves had died on Chandra's mission, but the number is great than Onas had realized. Twenty-five would have been a substantial portion of the Red Arrow - and possibly Long Runner as well - elves that existed in the Sylvan Realm at that time.

===

As the council meeting gets underway, Lilia asks Lia to come forward and introduces her to those assembled as one of the Chosen. Lia seems uncomfortable in the limelight, but seems to accept the situation for what it is. Throwing back her hood, there is a sudden tension in the room as her drow features become apparent to all. Onas wonders if he will be forced to step forward and defend her; fortunately, that does not become necessary as the Grunalf Clan Elder that so recently hugged Lilia greets Lia in the same manner. The tension fades away, and other elven leaders including King Miritar step forward to greet and thank the former half-elf.
Laucian wrote:As Laucian watches the interaction between Lia and Elder Treelife. “He has always seen the good in people. Even when they do not see it themselves.” he thinks to himself as he slowly brings his hands together. Before he realizes what he is doing he begins to clap. “Well done, Lia.” He says softly.
Laucian's applause for Lia brings a smile to Onas' face and he joins in clapping. "Indeed, well done to all of the Chosen: Lia, her twin brother Talen, Allurien's daughter Kylie, Nariya the wanderer, and our Queen Lilia Allandros." It occurs to Onas that he never actually got to meet Nariya. He had seen her once or twice and she'd been pointed out to him, but he'd never had the pleasure of making her acquaintance.

The next priority is filling the open council seats here in the Realm. In a nearly unanimous vote, Allurien Feador is selected as Head of the Council, which then opens up the Clan Feador seat. Onas is pleased by the choice; he cannot think of a better person for the position, and she and Lilia already have a good relationship. 'This bodes well for the future of the Sylvan Realm,' Onas thinks to himself. The Red Arrow, Long Runner, and newly-vacated Feador seats are soon filled.

With that out of the way, Lilia recites a moderately detailed summary of the Chosen's mission to rescue the Mother Tree, and the major events that have occurred since then. While he has heard many parts of it, and even participated in a tiny fraction of the most recent events, the queen's recitation puts it all into perspective. There are also many details - particularly regarding events prior to the restoration and his own arrival - that he was not aware of. The Chosen's missing was indeed long, complicated, and filled with peril; it is truly a miracle that they succeeded, and yet they did. Truly they are heroes of the first order and should be celebrated down through the ages.
Lilia wrote:“That covers about everything.

When the opportunity arises, Onas will step forward. "My Queen? Are there any other known threats to the Realm for which we need to make plans and preparations?"
Valena wrote:When the time is right, Valena will call out, “The Silver Maidens will be where ever we are needed, My Queen.”
Laucian wrote:Laucian looks to Valena and nods his agreement, “As are the Golden Griffons.”
"So too shall the Forest Riders," Onas states, stepping up beside the commanders of the other orders. A few hours ago, the Forest Riders numbered but one - himself. Now there are fifty, and he plans to make effective use of these skilled warriors.

Re: The Sylvan Realm #21 (#66)

Post Continued:

The Rainbow Bridge has opened, connecting the Sylvan Realm to the Elfholds until the sun sets. The passage works both ways, so its possible to go back to the Elfholds. Porters are still bringing supplies over the Rainbow Bridge and they are starting to pile up around Golden Peak. Many of the those who plan to settle in their various Clan Holds have moved down to the ground around the Mother Tree.

The meeting and greeting continues...

Kings and Queens:

Lilia and King Miritar converse...
Lilia wrote:“Several times,” Lilia explains. “They are loyal and protective to elves, but fierce enemies to all others. They made our mission to restore the Mother Tree much easier. We encountered rocs as well. Many of them aided in the final battle and later bore us when the time came to remove the enemy forts after the Mother Tree had been restored.”
“I can see how vital they could were,” King Miritar notes. “I makes me wonder why our ancestors did not bring some of them along to the Elfholds?”
Lilia wrote:“That he is,” Lilia agrees. “There was even a human with us: Sherwood Elf-Friend. Our mission would not have reached a successful completion without his aid.”
“If he was rewarded with the status of Elf-Friend, then he already has proved himself to the elves,” King Miritar states. “Only a few would have objected to his inclusion.”

Later, speaking with members of Clan Red Arrow...
“That is all we can ask for in a leader,” Redsword says. “There are those who are afraid to make the tough calls. Whatever dangers the Sylvan Realm faces, know that the Clan Red Arrow will always answer the call to battle.”

Lilia is reunited with Clan Elder Treelife...
Lilia wrote:“It's all true,” Lilia says with a laugh. “No, I never could have imagined that my path would have lead here when I left to go on Sherwood Elf-Friends mission. Are you planning to stay in the Sylvan Realm, Elder?”
“That is correct,” Treelife reports. “A few of us elders have arrived to restore our Clan Hold Einsun. Laucian is going to assist us in this task. We are departing in the morning. But I imagine that once we are settled in, that I will find the time to visit you at the palace.”

There is great interest in the new arrivals for trying their hand at griffon riding...
Laucian wrote:“That is correct, When the Mother tree as freed. The Golden Griffons were remade as members of the rainbow elves came forth from their prison. I am sure that we can. Elder Treelife has already expressed interest in taking a ride on the Griffons. Perhaps you would care to join us?”
“I would like that very much,” King Miritar says.
Laucian wrote:“Oh, I must have missed him in the masses. That is great news! I am sure Queen Lilia will welcome his experience and advice in her reign.” he adds.
“He is a good man for the job,” King Miritar admits. “I could have used this wisdom, but he had his heart set on going to the Sylvan Realm. For all he has done for our people, no one could deny him this one thing.”

Klovar:

Klovar, a Druid of Ehlonna meets Valena and Laucian.
Valena wrote:“No we did not,” Valena agrees. “I struggle to find reason why we left the Sylvan Realm in the first place. It is such a wondrous place.”
“As I recall that story was that the Sylvan Realm had become to crowded,” Klovar says. “Although perhaps the same can now be said of the Elfholds? I can see the population of the Sylvan Realm growing in the years to come.”
Laucian wrote:“I would like to. I have to see what time my Clan will be departing for Enisun as I promised to escort them there. Perhaps I can catch up with them.” He says simply, “As I would like to pay my respects to Ehlonna again.”
“I understand your duty to your clan,” Klovar answers. “And the need to pay respects to the Lady of the Forests. I can be difficult to serve many masters and keep them all happy.”
Laucian wrote:“It would give amazing insight to how animals interact. Is there a preference to what form you take?” he asks curiously.
“Some insights, but not many,” Klovar explains. “While I can assume their form, other animals can sense that something is not right and tend to avoid me. I typically assume the form of a raven to fly. Either a mountain lion or a bear as needed. A snake on occasion.”
Laucian wrote:“Do you have certain markings that separate you out from a normal animal?” he asks curiously as the thought of being changed and hunted.
“No, nothing that really stands out,” Klovar reports. “At least as far as I can tell.”
Valena wrote:“Plus there are the other followers of the Lady of the Forest already here in the Sylvan Realm who have yet to see her shrine,” Valena adds. “They should come along as well.”
“It is my hope to make the trip with as many followers of the Lady of the Forests to her shrine as possible,” Klovar admits. “We will need to get the shrine back into use. To consecrate the altar and what ever other tasks are necessary to make it functional once more.”

Onas wrote:"That may well become one of my duties, once we locate it," Onas says as he tries to comprehend how that might impact his responsibilities to the queen in developing the Forest Riders. "It may also depend on who else among her faithful have come here, as another may be better qualified to be her head priest in the Realm."
“I know that there were other priests who came over the Rainbow Bridge spanning all or our faiths,” Klovar explains. “Perhaps there is one who has come to restore your temple as well. Given a crowd of this size, they could be easy to miss.”

Clan Feador:
Kylie wrote:"I did not know that," Kylie replies. "I have only been to the Elfholds briefly the one time before starting this quest." A moment passes as she considers. "Perhaps it is appropriate that we are one of the larger clans here, then. Though how that may change over time is anyone's guess."
“My assumption is based on the hundreds of elves of our clan who remained the Sylvan Realm,” Dyradyl states. “Coupled with those who just arrived, there should be six or seven hundred Feador's here.”

Kylie wrote:It occurs to Kylie that the king may have difficulty completing his intention. "I'm sure Lia and Talen are around the area, so you may well meet them. However, we have not seen Nariya in quite some time, so I don't know if you will have the opportunity to give her your thanks."
“If there are those that I cannot meet during this short visit, would you be able to thank them for me?” the King asks.

Kylie wrote:Doriath's assertion makes a lot of sense. "I can see where that would be a valuable skill in that role."
“For some reason people like being addressed by their correct name and rank,” Doriath adds. “And it kept me from making a fool of myself.”
Kylie wrote:"So you're staying! That's wonderful, Doriath." Kylie smiles brightly upon hearing the news and floats a few inches up off the ground in her excitement without realizing it. "Lilia will benefit greatly from having you as an adviser. I also hope to be able to advise her in some areas, though I certainly do not have your extensive experience."
“Having advisers with varying points of view is a good thing,” Doriath says. “After all there can be different solutions to the same problem.”
Kylie wrote:"Besides, this will give you time to see more of this land as you wished. Perhaps we will even get to visit some of it together. There are vast areas of the Realm that we have not yet explored."
“I think I would like that, young lady,” Doriath answers. “But for now, there is work to be done. I promised the queen that I would help getting the settlers down to the forest floor. The Mother Tree is the mightiest tree in the forest, but this many elves surely has to be pushing her limits. Have a pleasant day.”

Clan Red Arrow:
Onas wrote:"Fifty!" Onas is struck dumb for a moment as the enormity of his new responsibility hits him. After a second or two, he recovers his senses and speech. "I thank you for your faith in me, Argus. I hope I can count on you for some advice in finding my path as commander of the Forest Riders, as well."
“Seems only fitting,” Argus states. “We are both going into new roles and will need guidance at times. Of course you shall have my council and there will be times when I will need yours.”

“It seems that we will need to help our kin make the trip to Walltree,” Argus continues. “Have you seen our Clan Hold? I can only imagine the state that it is in after all this time. In fact, I'm not even sure just where it is!”
Onas wrote:As they leave the area around the Rainbow Bridge to gather in the Golden Griffons meeting area, Onas slips away to greet his dear friend and brother Carad Orod.
Stabling Carad Orod near Starfire makes the most sense as they are actually griffon stables and not horse stables. Most of the other horses and riders are making the long journey down the Mother Tree to the ground below.

The Clan Council:

Lilia has revealed to the combined Clan Council that Lia was transformed into a drow as her reward for restoring the Mother Tree. Clan Elder Treelife gives Lia a hug and that breaks the ice. Others come forth to over congratulations.
Lia wrote:She will greet each in turn that give thanks for what the chosen has done. Even King Miritar steps forward and greets her. “King Miritar, I have heard of your ascent to the throne. Long shall you reign.”
“Thank you,” King Miritar states. “You have given all of us much to think upon this day.”

Once the Sylvan Realm Clan Council is set, Lilia brings everyone up to speed about what has transpired. She starts with her departing the Elfholds and the events that led to her becoming a Priest of Corellon. There are those who find her tale fantastical, but the magnetic personality of those who serve the All-Father make them believe her words. The challenges to come are outlined.

“I would field a warband to combat these slavers!” Redsword Truetalker calls out. “But there is not enough time before the Rainbow Bridge closes once more. This flying ship of yours... could it make the trip the Elfholds and make it back to the Sylvan Realm in time?”

“Teleportation is also an option,” Allurien states. “We could bring a few individuals here at a time.”

“I concur,” King Miritar adds. “Let us gather up as much support as we can to deal with these invaders. If this ship of yours can bring reinforcements that that seems the way to go. How many people can it carry?”

“If we know when these slavers are coming than we can select the battlefield,” Redsword continues. “A good commander always wants to fight on his terms. If this flying ship is what they seek, then we need to move it away from the Sylvan Realm so that innocent elves do not get involved in this. Perhaps to these ruins you mentioned to the north. Far enough away that they won't know that there is a nation of elves close by.”

“In the meantime, we have many other tasks to carry out before preparing for the slavers,” Allurien states. “The settlers need to safely reach their clan holds. And, if necessary, prepare them for battle.”

Eventually, the meeting winds down and breaks up. More conversations take place while those who are going back to the Elfholds are saying their goodbyes. Still others are making their way down to the ground where a great celebration is taking place. The Feywine is flowing freely. Songs are being played and many are dancing. Griffon rides are enjoyed by many.

Laucian wrote:As the meeting comes to an end Laucian will seek out Allurien and congratulate her on her seat as Head of the Council. “Congratulations on your appointment to the Head of Clan Council.”
“Thank you, Laucian,” Allurien answers. “It does give me many more responsibilities to tend to. I hope I can live up to the position.”

After a pause, Allurien adds with a laugh, “But I do promise not to run off and attack an enemy in the middle of the night!”

Afterwards Laucian speaks to Sheedra Feador, Wyndel Goldenleaf and Argus Bloodmoon.
Laucian wrote:To each: “Congratulations on your appointment to the Clan Council. I am Laucian Nailo of the Golden Griffons, While I know your people are not yet settled in here. I must ask for your assistance. I wish to ask you if you can tell your clan that the Golden Griffons are looking for members. If anyone is interested please come to the Golden Griffon stables for more information.”
“I am sure that there will be many applicants among Clan Red Arrow,” Argus proudly states. “To ride into battle on a flying mount must be an exhilarating experience!”

The other two new council members, Sheedra and Wyndel vow to do so as well.

After the meeting breaks up Allurien catches up to Kylie once more. There is a lady elf with her.

“Kylie, this is Sheedra,” Allurien introduces. “She is now the Clan Master for the Feador's here in the Sylvan Realm. I have been elected to the Head of the Council. Because of this, I will have to resign from Clan Feador as I now speak for all elves in the Sylvan Realm. I planned on showing Sheedra the Clan Masters home. Tonight we will need to pack as we will be moving to our new home soon.”

GM Notes:
I hadn't really understood the difference between Clan Elder and Clan Master previously. The post helped a lot.
I can see that I am going to have to get a dictionary together for the various terms being used. Other Clan Elders for every clan also came over on the Rainbow Bridge. Along with priests of the various elfin faiths. These last few posts have been so huge that I didn't get to mention or introduce them. Elder Treelife has appeared before, so it made sense to go with one who was known.

I edited those who Laucian had intended to congratulate as those I remove already had there positions. Only Sheedra, Wyndel and Argus are brand new.

Now what?

Lilia:
King Miritar wrote:“I can see how vital they were,” King Miritar notes. “I makes me wonder why our ancestors did not bring some of them along to the Elfholds?”
“I can only assume that it is some unique property of the Sylvan Realms that makes them behave this way,” Lilia surmises.
Redsword wrote:“That is all we can ask for in a leader,” Redsword says. “There are those who are afraid to make the tough calls. Whatever dangers the Sylvan Realm faces, know that the Clan Red Arrow will always answer the call to battle.”
“Of that I am sure,” Lilia answers with a smile.
Elder Treelife wrote:“That is correct,” Treelife reports. “A few of us elders have arrived to restore our Clan Hold Einsun. Laucian is going to assist us in this task. We are departing in the morning. But I imagine that once we are settled in, that I will find the time to visit you at the palace.”
“How wonderful!” Lilia says excitedly. “Please do visit when you can. I would love to have access to your insight and wisdom.”
Redsword wrote:“I would field a warband to combat these slavers!” Redsword Truetalker calls out. “But there is not enough time before the Rainbow Bridge closes once more. This flying ship of yours... could it make the trip the Elfholds and make it back to the Sylvan Realm in time?”
After her long speech, Redsword is among the first to call out.

“A warband would be lovely,” Lilia agrees. “The Elfholds have given us more aid that I ever expected, so I think that we can hold back these slavers.”

“While I am not sure exactly how long a trip to the Elfholds would take,” Lilia continues. “I am sure that it could easily be done. Perhaps one day to the Elfholds and one day back? Two days round trip?”
Allurien wrote:“Teleportation is also an option,” Allurien states. “We could bring a few individuals here at a time.”
King Miritar wrote:“I concur,” King Miritar adds. “Let us gather up as much support as we can to deal with these invaders. If this ship of yours can bring reinforcements that that seems the way to go. How many people can it carry?”
“That is a very good question, King Miritar,” Lilia states. “At this point, we do not know. But this is something that we should test out before hand.”

Lilia turns her gaze to the Clan Masters for Clan Long Runner. “How many of your clan came over to reclaim Pinit? My plan is to take the Sunflower to the Royal Palace in the morning. Since your Clan Hold is just across the river, why not have all the settlers come with us on the Sunflower? It will be test to see how many elves it can safely carry and get you to your Clan Hold at the same time.”
Redsword wrote:“If we know when these slavers are coming than we can select the battlefield,” Redsword continues.
“Those are very good points, Clan Master Redsword,” Lilia agrees. “Indeed, my first instinct was to move the Sunflower to the Elfin Palace and away from the Mother Tree. We need to travel to the ruins at some point anyway, so perhaps returning the Sunflower to where we found it will protect us from the slavers.”
Allurien wrote:“In the meantime, we have many other tasks to carry out before preparing for the slavers,” Allurien states. “The settlers need to safely reach their clan holds. And, if necessary, prepare them for battle.”
“I am sure that you are more than equal to the task, Allurien,” Lilia states somewhat happy that she does not have to deal with.
Laucian wrote:“I only have one question regarding the Slavers and the Sunflower. I wish to see to the defenses of the Sunflower so that the Golden Griffons know how to better deal with our advisory in the air. If it pleases you your highness, I wish to ask for mages that would be willing to help in this matter.”
“Kylie activated the defenses yesterday after Myev disappeared,” Lilia tells Laucian. “They feared that it was an attack and responded by erecting the defenses. Golden translucent overlapping shields appeared all around the Sunflower.”
Lia wrote:Lia listens to the words of the Queen and at the end she asks question. She silently takes a step forward, her hand resting on her lion head pommel. “Where do we begin?” she says sternly though evenly.
“We take the Sunflower to the Elfin Palace tomorrow morning,” Lilia states. “It will get the Sunflower well away from the Mother Tree and with the Long Runner passengers we will find out how many people the ship can carry. King Miritar was kind enough to bring me a gift from the Elfholds.”

At this point Lilia gestures to Andlin. “Inside that case are wooden pendants needed to make use of the tree portals of the Elfin Palace. In fact, this pendant,” Lilia gestures to the redwood pendant in her possession, “is master key to the entire palace and mage school. With it, we will be able to reach all the areas.”
Onas wrote:When the opportunity arises, Onas will step forward. "My Queen? Are there any other known threats to the Realm for which we need to make plans and preparations?"
“A few,” Lilia admits. “But these are, for right now, a lower priority. Moorkroft had allies in his siege on the Sylvan Realm. There were orcs, humans and fire giants among is army. I think we can safely say that the orcs were dealt a tremendous setback after we flushed them out of the Sylvan Realm and the following attack by Chandra and the Hive.”

“The humans however, are a different story.” Lilia continues. “Papers that were found in the forts and translated by Elora revealed that they were unhappy to be serving Moorkroft. They sought to use something they called a 'travel column' to strike at him. This 'travel column' sounds very much like a Pillar Artifact. And we know that Moorkroft had holed up in the Elfin Palace. That leads me to believe that there is another Pillar Artifact on the island that covers the Royal Palace. If that is the case, then perhaps whatever gifts Talen was given will come to the surface.”

“The fire giants could also be a potential danger as well. But give that they prefer hot regions, they may not be interested in the Sylvan Realm. Lastly, Moorkroft used a Magic Jar spell to possess my body. His real body, minus his spirit, is somewhere. Plus what ever defenses he left behind at the Royal Palace may still be in affect.”
Either by my magic or my bow you WILL fall!

Kylie Lanthorn the Half-Elven:
Dyradyl wrote:“My assumption is based on the hundreds of elves of our clan who remained the Sylvan Realm,” Dyradyl states. “Coupled with those who just arrived, there should be six or seven hundred Feador's here.”
Kylie frowns, remembering what they learned after reaching the Sylvan Realm. "Sadly, not all of those who remained behind survived. Most of them merged with the trees, and then were slain by Moorcroft and his orcish hordes. Apparently, he was able to find some of them, and absorb their life forces in order to extend his own. Additionally, more may have died due to his forces cutting down or burning trees. I don't know that there was ever an accurate accounting of how many survived. Perhaps Lilia knows more..."

===
Miritar wrote:“If there are those that I cannot meet during this short visit, would you be able to thank them for me?” the King asks.
Kylie curtsies once more. "Should I have the opportunity, King Miritar, I would be happy to convey your appreciation for their efforts." She is certain that she will have the chance with Talen, but can only wait and see in regard to Nariya.

===
Doriath wrote:“For some reason people like being addressed by their correct name and rank,” Doriath adds. “And it kept me from making a fool of myself.”
Doriath's words draw a laugh from the young half-elven transmuter. "I doubt anyone would mistake you for a fool, Doriath."
Doriath wrote:“Having advisers with varying points of view is a good thing,” Doriath says. “After all there can be different solutions to the same problem.”
"Indeed," Kylie answers simply with a bit of a mischievous grin.
Kylie wrote:“I think I would like that, young lady,” Doriath answers. “But for now, there is work to be done. I promised the queen that I would help getting the settlers down to the forest floor. The Mother Tree is the mightiest tree in the forest, but this many elves surely has to be pushing her limits. Have a pleasant day.”
"It has been a pleasure seeing you again, Doriath," Kylie says. "I appreciate you taking the time to chat with me."

As Doriath moves off about his business, Kylie looks around to see if she recognizes anyone else or sees anyone bearing symbols that she knows to be associated with Clan Feador. She can see Dapple moving about the area, clearly curious about all of the new arrivals. She hasn't seen Talen here at all, and isn't sure whether he decided to stay with the ship rather than coming to see everyone arrive. He does seem to be developing a taste for solitude lately.

===
Allurien wrote:After the meeting breaks up Allurien catches up to Kylie once more.

For a second, Kylie is surprised to hear that Allurien has been replaced as Feador Clan Master. However, that is quickly explained when Allurien states that she is now Head of the Council. "It is very nice to meet you, Sheedra. I'm sure you will do an excellent job of representing Clan Feador on the council."

She then turns to Allurien and gives her a hug. "Wow! Congratulations, Mom! Head of the Council... That is wonderful; I doubt there is anyone who would be a better choice for the position."

There are so many aspects of these things that Kylie isn't aware of. "Okay, I wasn't aware of how that affected the Head's clan membership, but it does make sense. I will come with you, as I might as well get started with the packing - though don't really have that much stuff. Where is our new home, anyway?" Kylie will whistle for Dapple, then follow Sheedra and her mother back to the Clan Master's house.

_________________________________________________________________________________
Since we talked about teleporting back directly to the ship, I'm assuming that Kylie retrieved Dapple and thanked Talen for keeping an eye on him for her.

I don't know how much time passed between the end of her conversation with Doriath and Allurien's arrival. It seems like the council meeting would have taken a lot longer than their conversation, but I'll leave that up to you.

Onas Brightsword:
Argus wrote:“Seems only fitting,” Argus states. “We are both going into new roles and will need guidance at times. Of course you shall have my council and there will be times when I will need yours.”
Onas smiles. "Exactly. We are stronger together than separate."
Argus wrote:“It seems that we will need to help our kin make the trip to Walltree,” Argus continues. “Have you seen our Clan Hold? I can only imagine the state that it is in after all this time. In fact, I'm not even sure just where it is!”
"I have not," Onas admits. "According to the map in the Golden Griffons headquarters, it lies far to the southwest near the shore. Mealiel and a centaur village are roughly in the same direction. We should consult the map to plan a route; perhaps after the meeting?"

Onas is pleased to see that Laucian's horse is already present when he goes to stable Carad Orod. They will be good company for one another, especially with the griffons nearby.

===
Klovar wrote:“I know that there were other priests who came over the Rainbow Bridge spanning all or our faiths,” Klovar explains. “Perhaps there is one who has come to restore your temple as well. Given a crowd of this size, they could be easy to miss.”
"I will be sure to seek them out, Klovar," Onas replies. "Thank you for the information you have shared."

===
Allurien wrote:“In the meantime, we have many other tasks to carry out before preparing for the slavers,” Allurien states. “The settlers need to safely reach their clan holds. And, if necessary, prepare them for battle.”
This seems like a good function for his riders, so Onas speaks up. "This is an area where I believe the Forest Riders can be of assistance, Allurien. We can send riders with each clan's settlers to help them find, clear, and settle into their clan homes. They can also advise on preparations for defense, and provide training if needed."

As the meeting is breaking up, Onas approaches each of the Clan Masters and asks them to pass the word among their people that he is seeking other priests of the Triune Goddess. Once they have identified their patron's clergy here in the Sylvan Realm, they can plan and organize their service to Her.

Onas remains behind to study the map planning the trip to Walltree with Argus, along with making plans for organizing the Forest Riders. Once done here, he will descend the Mother Tree to the forest floor and locate where the troops Argus assigned to him are gathered.

Klovar wrote:“Some insights, but not many,” Klovar explains. “While I can assume their form, other animals can sense that something is not right and tend to avoid me. I typically assume the form of a raven to fly. Either a mountain lion or a bear as needed. A snake on occasion.”
“I suppose that makes sense,” Valena notes. “Many animals have senses beyond those we use or are more potent.”
Klovar wrote:“It is my hope to make the trip with as many followers of the Lady of the Forests to her shrine as possible,” Klovar admits. “We will need to get the shrine back into use. To consecrate the altar and what ever other tasks are necessary to make it functional once more.”
“I had not considered that the altar would need consecrating,” Valena admits. “I guess we can see why I was not chosen to be head of the shrine. At any rate, it seems that the shrine will be in good hands.”

After the council meeting breaks up, Valena will say a few works to Allurien and her replacement Sheedra.

“Congratulations to you,” Valena tells Allurien. “I think you will make a fine Council Head. You will do our clan proud.”

To Sheedra she'll say, “Congratulations Sheedra. I am Valena Feador, the Master of the Silver Maidens. Feel free to let me know if the clan has needs that I can fulfill.”

After locating all the other followers of Ehlonna, Valena will head down to the ground to where the celebration is taking place. She'll dance a little and have her share of Feywine.

“I would like that very much,” King Miritar says.
“It would be our honor.” Laucian says evenly.

Valena and Klovar-
“As I recall that story was that the Sylvan Realm had become to crowded,” Klovar says. “Although perhaps the same can now be said of the Elfholds? I can see the population of the Sylvan Realm growing in the years to come.”

“That is our hope.” He says looking at Klovar and then Valena. A thought crosses his mind in regards to the population increase, when two elves of a different clan become one what becomes of them?
“I understand your duty to your clan,” Klovar answers. “And the need to pay respects to the Lady of the Forests. I can be difficult to serve many masters and keep them all happy.”
“Thank you for understanding.”Laucian says back.
“Some insights, but not many,” Klovar explains. “While I can assume their form, other animals can sense that something is not right and tend to avoid me. I typically assume the form of a raven to fly. Either a mountain lion or a bear as needed. A snake on occasion.”
“I will have to remember that.” Taking a mental note, “I would not want one of my arrows to end your life.” He says simply.
“It is my hope to make the trip with as many followers of the Lady of the Forests to her shrine as possible,” Klovar admits. “We will need to get the shrine back into use. To consecrate the altar and what ever other tasks are necessary to make it functional once more.”
“I had not considered that the altar would need consecrating,” Valena admits. “I guess we can see why I was not chosen to be head of the shrine. At any rate, it seems that the shrine will be in good hands.”
Laucian mirrors Valena’s thoughts on the altar being consecrated once more. Perhaps a unicorn watching over the shrine was not enough. “I will speak with Elder Treelife. There is sure to be many followers of Ehlonna in clan Grundalf. Those who are faithful I will lead them there and meet with column at that point."

Laucian listens to the words of the King, Queen and Red Arrow leader.

“Forgive me but if you bring the Sunflower to the Elfholds and they cast Divination spells to find the ship. Is it not possible that they will see our kin? Then our troubles are twofold, Both nations would be at risk.”he says looking at the others.

With Aluurien
“Thank you, Laucian,” Allurien answers. “It does give me many more responsibilities to tend to. I hope I can live up to the position.”
“It would seem that we all have a lot to live up to these days.”
After a pause, Allurien adds with a laugh, “But I do promise not to run off and attack an enemy in the middle of the night!”
“Please do not.”he says with a smirk and shake of the head. “Most likely, I would be the one to enlisted to find you.”
“I am sure that there will be many applicants among Clan Red Arrow,” Argus proudly states. “To ride into battle on a flying mount must be an exhilarating experience!”
“Indeed it is.” He adds simply,”One, I would gladly do again.”

“Each stable should have a small armory for the riders. It is merely learning to fly as one, to trust another with your life hundreds of feet above the ground. It is not for the faint of heart.”

Ship defenses
“Kylie activated the defenses yesterday after Myev disappeared,” Lilia tells Laucian. “They feared that it was an attack and responded by erecting the defenses. Golden translucent overlapping shields appeared all around the Sunflower.”
“It would seem the element of surprise is needed.” Laucian says looking at the Queen. “And a bit of magic and luck.”

As the meeting ends, Laucian will approach Elder Treelife explain the situation between the Ehlonna Shrine and that of the clans movement.

After the meeting Laucian will head to the base of the tree and take have some Feywine and relax as he watches others Dance and celebrate.
Til Ehlonna's will be done

Lia
“Thank you,” King Miritar states. “You have given all of us much to think upon this day.”
“You have done the same, King Miritar.” Lia says in return a hint of a smile etching across her features. Perhaps she was wrong to feel like an outcast when the new arrivals came from the rainbow bridge. For a moment she kicks herself for being withdrawn, but after the attack left her rattled and questioning her choice. Eilistraee herself said her life would be difficult and a thought crosses her mind. ‘Only if I allow it.’

“I am not of the Long Runner clan, nor any clan here, but I wish to help.”she says looking to Queen Lilia and then to Andlin. “My sword is yours my Queen, you only need direct it.”

As the meeting ends Lia will walk to the celebration, for several moments she watches the other elves and smiles. Their dancing is beautiful and before she realizes it she is walking toward the others and slowly begins to dance. Her smile widens as she becomes one with the music, her limbs floating through the air as she was taught. She takes her first sip of Feywine but shoses not to over do it.
The last thing you shall hear is the bladesong of my sword.

Post Continued:

The sun is getting lower in the sky as the day moves along. When it does set, the Rainbow Bridge will close once more separating the Elfholds from the Sylvan Realm. After that, the Rainbow Bridge will not return for a month or 28 days.

Klovar:
Valena wrote:“I had not considered that the altar would need consecrating,” Valena admits. “I guess we can see why I was not chosen to be head of the shrine. At any rate, it seems that the shrine will be in good hands.”
Laucian wrote:Laucian mirrors Valena’s thoughts on the altar being consecrated once more. Perhaps a unicorn watching over the shrine was not enough. “I will speak with Elder Treelife. There is sure to be many followers of Ehlonna in clan Grunalf. Those who are faithful I will lead them there and meet with column at that point."
“You are both adventuring priests,” Klovar easily states. “Out in the field doing the Ladies good work. Such things are not something you regularly deal with. In short, I needed as many Forest Brothers and Sisters as we can muster to cast the Sanctify spell. Once that is done, than the altar will be prepared. I must then spend a day fasting and in prayer to attune the altar to myself. Once that is complete, a Focus spell is required to complete the ceremony. Than we will be able to unleash the power of the ladies shrine!”

Clan Feador:
Kylie wrote:Kylie frowns, remembering what they learned after reaching the Sylvan Realm. "Sadly, not all of those who remained behind survived. Most of them merged with the trees, and then were slain by Moorkroft and his orcish hordes. Apparently, he was able to find some of them, and absorb their life forces in order to extend his own. Additionally, more may have died due to his forces cutting down or burning trees. I don't know that there was ever an accurate accounting of how many survived. Perhaps Lilia knows more..."
Dyradyl actually turns white upon hearing this. “What a vile, horrible thing! So many lost so senselessly.”

“Around two hundred survived to be released when the Mother Tree was restored,” Allurien adds. “So we should number around three hundred combined. Sizable, but not as large as you initially imagined. ”
Kylie wrote:"It has been a pleasure seeing you again, Doriath," Kylie says. "I appreciate you taking the time to chat with me."
“You are most welcome,” Doriath says. He takes a step away and then turns back. “I occurs to me that you know this area far better than I do. Perhaps you could assist me in this task? We are going to need areas for each clan to set up for the night around the base of the Mother Tree. Ideally separate areas so that each clan and their supplies are together for when they move off to their clan holds. Do you think you can help in this matter?”

Clan Red Arrow:
Onas wrote:"I have not," Onas admits. "According to the map in the Golden Griffons headquarters, it lies far to the southwest near the shore. Mealiel and a centaur village are roughly in the same direction. We should consult the map to plan a route; perhaps after the meeting?"
“That makes sense,” Argus agrees. “Get a feel for the lay of the land.”

The Clan Council:

During the combined Clan Council, Lilia has revealed that slavers will be arriving in just 8 days! Ideas and suggestions are tossed around. One suggestion is to use the Sunflower to travel back to the Elfholds and return with more reinforcements.
Lilia wrote:“While I am not sure exactly how long a trip to the Elfholds would take,” Lilia continues. “I am sure that it could easily be done. Perhaps one day to the Elfholds and one day back? Two days round trip?”
“That is fast,” Redsword says in surprise. “I can see why they want their ship back.”
Laucian wrote:“Forgive me but if you bring the Sunflower to the Elfholds and they cast Divination spells to find the ship. Is it not possible that they will see our kin? Then our troubles are twofold, Both nations would be at risk,” he says looking at the others.
“There is risk no matter what we do,” King Miritar states. “Besides, if these slavers are to be arriving in eight days then they already have made their divinations. They will arrive where this ship is eight days from now, so where it is in between should not matter as much.”

“If this ship is as fast as you state,” Redsword continues, “then I propose that you travel to the Elfholds six days from now. We can meet at Desnae, as it is a fairly central location. The reinforcements can board the Sunflower. We return to the Sylvan Realm the next day, and then the day after we deal with these slavers.”
Lilia wrote:“That is a very good question, King Miritar,” Lilia states. “At this point, we do not know. But this is something that we should test out before hand.”
“Yes, as it will determine how many we can bring to defend this land,” King Miritar states.
lilia wrote:Lilia turns her gaze to the Clan Masters for Clan Long Runner.
“Around 150, Your Majesty,” Long Runner Clan Master Wyndel Goldenleaf calls out. “Being the clan of mages, we would very much like the opportunity to see this flying ship in action! We accept you gracious invitation.”

Talk then turns to where to engage the slavers eight days from now. Clan Master Redsword suggests moving the ship out of the Sylvan Realm entirely and to the ruins to the north.
Lilia wrote:“Those are very good points, Clan Master Redsword,” Lilia agrees. “Indeed, my first instinct was to move the Sunflower to the Elfin Palace and away from the Mother Tree. We need to travel to the ruins at some point anyway, so perhaps returning the Sunflower to where we found it will protect us from the slavers.”
“Then it would down two targets with one arrow,” Redsword notes approvingly. “And if other enemies are also present, such as orcs or this Hive that you spoke off, perhaps they can be played off each other leaving us to deal with the survivors.”

The Clan Meeting comes to a close and the light of day is starting to fade. Many partake in griffon rides and those who do enjoy the sheer exuberance of the experience. Still others travel down to the ground to join up with their clans. Those returning to the Elfholds start to gather near the Rainbow Bridge. All the supplies have been delivered.

Head of the Sylvan Realms Clan Council:

Thanks to her elevated position, Allurien has several well wishers and others who wish a moment of her time.
Onas wrote:This seems like a good function for his riders, so Onas speaks up. "This is an area where I believe the Forest Riders can be of assistance, Allurien. We can send riders with each clan's settlers to help them find, clear, and settle into their clan homes. They can also advise on preparations for defense, and provide training if needed."
“That's a fine suggestion, Onas,” Allurien agrees. “We'll need enough riders to safely guard five clans as they make their way to their clan holds. Clan Feador has their clan hold below us, and Clan Long Runner will be riding on the Sunflower to reach Pinit.”

Turning to Laucian,” Allurien adds, “I am assuming that you will be having Griffon Riders accompanying the clans as well?”

Valena wrote:After the council meeting breaks up, Valena will say a few words to Allurien and her replacement Sheedra.

“Congratulations to you,” Valena tells Allurien. “I think you will make a fine Council Head. You will do our clan proud.”
“Thank you, Valena,” Allurien gratefully states.
Valena wrote:To Sheedra she'll say, “Congratulations Sheedra. I am Valena Feador, the Master of the Silver Maidens. Feel free to let me know if the clan has needs that I can fulfill.”
“I will do that, Valena,” Sheedra answers. “And thank you.”
Laucian wrote:“It would seem that we all have a lot to live up to these days.”
“The days to come will not be boring,” Allurien agrees.
Laucian wrote:“Please do not.”he says with a smirk and shake of the head. “Most likely, I would be the one to enlisted to find you.”
“Well, we wouldn't want that, would we?” Allurien says with a smirk of her own.

Later on, Allurien catches up with Kylie...
Kylie wrote:For a second, Kylie is surprised to hear that Allurien has been replaced as Feador Clan Master. However, that is quickly explained when Allurien states that she is now Head of the Council. "It is very nice to meet you, Sheedra. I'm sure you will do an excellent job of representing Clan Feador on the council."
“Thank you, Kylie,” Sheedra says with a bow. “I am pleased to have one of the Chosen come from our clan and the new Head of the Council as well. There are bright days ahead for Clan Feador!”
Kylie wrote:She then turns to Allurien and gives her a hug. "Wow! Congratulations, Mom! Head of the Council... That is wonderful; I doubt there is anyone who would be a better choice for the position."
“Thanks”, Allurien says returning the hug. “It is a daunting challenge, but one I shall face to protect this land.”
Kylie wrote:There are so many aspects of these things that Kylie isn't aware of.
“Since both the Head of the Council and the Queen both speak for all Sylvan Realm elves,” Allurien explains, “they have to resign from their clans. We are both now essentially clan less, but of course we can still visit our friends. We just have to have an outlook beyond just one clan.”

“As for where we are moving too,” Allurien continues, “It is to the Royal Palace. The regular meeting place for the Clan Council is there along with offices for each of the Clan Masters. Living areas for the Head of the Clans and their family are there as well. I am not sure, but I would assume that these quarters are separate from the ones Lilia will be using. Although they should be close by.”

Day's End:

The sun sets and the Rainbow Bridge is closed up once more. Goodbyes have been said and everyone settles in for the evening. Most are now down on the ground celebrating this historic day. The Feywine is flowing freely and songs are being song. Lorelei is performing to a large crowd and many are dancing. A few elves even dance close to Lia.
Onas wrote:Onas remains behind to study the map planning the trip to Walltree with Argus, along with making plans for organizing the Forest Riders. Once done here, he will descend the Mother Tree to the forest floor and locate where the troops Argus assigned to him are gathered.
“It seems to me that we should take the road south to the geyser fields,” Argus states studying the map. “From there we can follow the edge to the southeast and then go through the forest to reach the Clan Hold. I imagine that other clans will be using this same route for a time, so we can help guard them until our paths separate.”

Once down on the forest floor, Clan Master Argus will introduce the sergeants of the riders he came with. This group will form the basis of the Forest Riders. Argus explains the change in plans in introduces Onas as their new commander. There are five sergeants who lead the regular troops. Four are male and one is female. The men are Daylor Dawnhorn, Katyr Starglow, Alok Hawksong and Durlan Nightstar. The lone female is Jorzana Silversword.

Still later, as the elves on the forest floor are gathering into groups, Onas locates a group of priests who represent the One and the Three. Sheeryl Soulsearcher is there meeting her follow associate priests. There are three Priests of Angharradh present, two female and one male. The highest ranking priestess is Soliana Zylleth. Fenian Kelastra is the other female and Voron Cailden is the male priest. All three greet Onas warmly.

“Have you seen the Halls of Trifold Harmony?” Soliana inquires. “Our records indicate that it resembles the temple in the Elfholds where all of the One and the Three can be worshiped.”

Soliana will also request Onas help with casting a Sanctify spells once the Halls of Trifold Harmony are reached.

Other priestess are present for the goddess who make up the Three. Lyndis represents Aerdrie Faenya. Roshia speaks for Hanali Celanil and Kilyn Sehanine Moonbow.

Valena, accompanied by Klovar will locate several other followers of Ehlonna. These include Thyl, Jetter and Koffa Novaion, and Torla Starglow. They all agree to make the trip to the Shrine of Ehlonna in the morning.

Laucian wrote:As the meeting ends, Laucian will approach Elder Treelife explain the situation between the Ehlonna Shrine and that of the clans movement.
“I understand,” Elder Treelife states. “Judging by the locations of the other Clan Holds, there should be several groups taking the road south. With that many elves, there will be plenty of guards and protectors.”

Elsewhere, a trio of Priests of Corellon Larethian approach Lilia. “Your Majesty,” one of the men states, “I am Mclandrach Inalon, High Priest of Corellon Larethian. The All-Father has directed me to the Sylvan Realm to care for our temple. Have you had a chance to visit it yet?”

Mclandrach will introduce his associates. Neldor Raylar is another man, while Valinda Zinlyn is a priestess. Mclandrach will also mention getting the temples altar prepared for use.
After the meeting Laucian will head to the base of the tree and take have some Feywine and relax as he watches others Dance and celebrate.
As Laucian watches, he becomes aware of Gweyr slipping beside him. “Quite the day, huh?”

GM Notes:
Kylie wrote:Since we talked about teleporting back directly to the ship, I'm assuming that Kylie retrieved Dapple and thanked Talen for keeping an eye on him for her.
I assumed that this part would be played out at the end of the visit over in Cynalon Knights.
Kylie wrote:I don't know how much time passed between the end of her conversation with Doriath and Allurien's arrival. It seems like the council meeting would have taken a lot longer than their conversation, but I'll leave that up to you.
If you Kylie chooses to help Doriath get the clans settled, that will fill her afternoon.

The issue of preparing an altar and transferring ownership of a temple came up before. Here is the gist of what this all means. The following was re-written from a post in the Hammerfall game.

Here are some notes on priestly things so that we’re all on the same page. What the various priests would like you to do is help cast Sanctify on the reclaimed temples. It just takes 10 minutes and creates an atmosphere beneficial to those of that faith, so this task merely requires praying for the spell and then casting it. It's a second level spells and almost everyone should have it.

Consecrating a altar is a whole different animal. The High Priest of the temple must fast and pray for an entire day to consecrate the altar. The task can be shared with others of the same faith. At the end of the day, and assuming everything has gone well up to this point, certain spells are cast upon the altar to complete the task, a Focus spell being the most important one. Focus is another cooperative spell, but you need to be 7th level to have access to it.

An altar is a symbol of a priest’s devotion and the focus of their congregation. The altar also becomes the focus of the congregation’s devotional energy. If there are enough faithful followers, this energy will become available to the priest to make use of. They can use this energy to set up permanent effects within the temple. Effects such as Protection from Evil and other such protection spells. The exact effects depends on the god in question.

Having a consecrated altar also allows the priest to create magic items of their faith. Such items as enchanted armor, weapons, and miscellaneous magic items, along with certain kinds of potions. The process creates a connection between the priest and the altar. Only the priest to whom the altar is consecrated can make use of its properties.

In a certain sense, a temples altar is like a Spell Engine. It is powered by the devotional energy of the priests and followers. The head of the temple can tap into this energy to create effects inline with the god the altar is aligned too.

There are a variety of tasks that will take place tomorrow. So where is everyone planning on going?

Now what?

Lilia:
Laucian wrote:“Forgive me but if you bring the Sunflower to the Elfholds and they cast Divination spells to find the ship. Is it not possible that they will see our kin? Then our troubles are twofold, both nations would be at risk,” he says looking at the others.
King Miritar wrote:“There is risk no matter what we do,” King Miritar states. “Besides, if these slavers are to be arriving in eight days then they already have made their divinations. They will arrive where this ship is eight days from now, so where it is in between should not matter as much.”
“While there is much that we do not know,” Lilia says speaking up, “I have asked Sheeryl to continue to cast Divinations so that we can better understand the situation we will be in eight days from now. We also do not know what sort of divinations the slavers made to find their ship either. After all, the scro stole their ship to begin with. So they are most likely assuming that they will be dealing with scro and not elves. They may not even know about us and moving the Sunflower up to the ruins will just help in this matter.”
Redsword wrote:“If this ship is as fast as you state,” Redsword continues, “then I propose that you travel to the Elfholds six days from now. We can meet at Desnae, as it is a fairly central location. The reinforcements can board the Sunflower. We return to the Sylvan Realm the next day, and then the day after we deal with these slavers.”
“It sounds like we have a plan, Clan Master,” Lilia says in agreement. “I am very pleased to see all elves coming to the aid of the Sylvan Realm and the Mother Tree in our time of need.”
Wyndel wrote:“Around 150, Your Majesty,” Long Runner Clan Master Wyndel Goldenleaf calls out. “Being the clan of mages, we would very much like the opportunity to see this flying ship in action! We accept you gracious invitation.”
“Than it will be a good test on how much the Sunflower can carry,” Lilia states. “Have your clan ready to move their supplies onto the Sunflower come the morning. Then we will begin our journey to your clan hold and the Royal Palace. I think you will find it to be an enjoyable experience.”
Redsword wrote:“Then it would down two targets with one arrow,” Redsword notes approvingly. “And if other enemies are also present, such as orcs or this Hive that you spoke off, perhaps they can be played off each other leaving us to deal with the survivors.”
“That may be a very bad idea,” Lilia counters. “The Hive are able to take over others with their parasites. If they took over one of these slavers, then they would know all that the slavers do as well. I do not see how that could be a good thing for us.”

The meeting of the leaders of the two elfin nations comes to a close. Many elves take a ride on the griffons and it is clear to see the joy in their faces. This has been a positive experience in Lilia's mind. The Sylvan Realm has much to offer those in the Elfholds. More will be coming when the Rainbow Bridge returns.

Goodbyes and farewells are shared as the last of the elves go back over the Rainbow Bridge to the Elfholds. Before the bridge fades away, Lilia pictures in her mind the exact direction that the Rainbow Bridge came from. That's the direction back to the Elfholds.

Night falls and most of the new arrivals are now down on the ground, around the base of the Mother Tree. There is singing and dance and feywine for all. When Lorelei has finished one of her songs, Lilia will get everyone's attention for a short speech.

“I welcome all of you to the Sylvan Realm,” Lilia calls out. “I am Queen Lilia and this is Allurien, the Head of our Clan Council. As I understand it, most of you will be heading off to reclaim your clan holds in the morning. There are several organizations that are actively recruiting as well.”

“There is the Order of the Golden Griffons and their master, Laucian Nailo,” Lilia points towards Laucian as she speaks. “These are griffon riders who are need to patrol the skies over the Sylvan Realm.”

“The ground will be patrolled by the Forest Riders, commanded by Onas Brightsword,” once more Lilia points to Onas among the crowd of elves. “They will be needed to patrol the roads and the areas around your clan holds.”

“There is the Queen's Guard, a pool of skilled adventurers to deal with whatever threats we may all face. Units of the Queen's Guard will be tailored to whatever threat they are facing. Jointly commanding the Queen's Guard is Arlen Brightsword and Andlin Alastra,” and again Lilia points out the two men among the crowd.

“Last and certainly not least, there is the Order of the Silver Maidens. These is an elite unit of lady elves mounted on unicorns. They are commanded by Valena Feador.” Valena is indicated among the crowd. “If you are interested in joining any of these groups to help protect the Sylvan Realm, then speak to these people. For now enjoy yourselves as new challenges will arise tomorrow!”

Lilia steps away once more as Lorelei begins to perform once more. Soon a trio of Priests of Corellon Larethian appear.
Mclandrach wrote:Elsewhere, a trio of Priests of Corellon Larethian approach Lilia. “Your Majesty,” one of the men states, “I am Mclandrach Inalon, High Priest of Corellon Larethian. The All-Father has directed me to the Sylvan Realm to care for our temple. Have you had a chance to visit it yet?”
“Well met, Fey brother,” Lilia says in greeting. “I am pleased that you have come to tend to the temple as I do not see me having enough time to do so on my own. No, I have not see the Temple as of yet. I haven't had the luxury of time to seek it out. Do you know where it is?”
Mclandrach will introduce his associates. Neldor Raylar is another man, while Valinda Zinlyn is a priestess. Mclandrach will also mention getting the temples altar prepared for use.
“Welcome,” Lilia will say to each of the associate priests. Lilia try to help get the temple sanctified and the altar consecrated. Hopefully she'll have the time to do so, but will not make any promises.

Next morning, Lilia will be departing for the Royal Palace on the Sunflower. She assumes that at least Kylie, Lia and Talen will be coming along. The others seem to have different tasks to contend with.
Either by my magic or my bow you WILL fall!

There really is nothing more to say, so Kylie just nods sadly.
Allurien wrote:“Around two hundred survived to be released when the Mother Tree was restored,” Allurien adds. “So we should number around three hundred combined. Sizable, but not as large as you initially imagined. ”
Kylie pivots at the sound of her mother's voice. "Two hundred out of seven hundred. I didn't know it was that bad..." Kylie shakes her head as though to will away this terrible tragedy. Still, if there are around three hundred, the clan should be able to rebuild.

Doriath wrote:“You are most welcome,” Doriath says.
Kylie smiles at the former King of the Elfholds. "Sure, I'd be happy to help." She leads Doriath to the base of the tree and then asks his help in identifying the leaders of the various clans. Leveraging her knowledge of the surroundings and Doriath's knowledge of the various clans' preferences, she will select areas bounded by natural terrain features for each of the clans so that they can have an area to call their own during their brief stay. She will take her time, working with one clan and then the next, and doing her best to answer any questions that they may have.

During a brief break in the action, Kylie turns to Doriath with a question that has been on her mind every since the Rainbow Bridge opened. "Doriath, do you happen to know if there were any half-elves among those who arrived today?" She would love to have a larger group to work toward creating the new clan proposed by Lilia.

By time she finishes, the sun is getting low in the sky, and those who are not staying are making their way back to the Rainbow Bridge. She hasn't seen Doriath in a little while, as he is still busy assisting one of the clans. It is not long before her mother returns, along with the new Feador Clan Master.

===
Sheedra wrote:“Thank you, Kylie,” Sheedra says with a bow. “I am pleased to have one of the Chosen come from our clan and the new Head of the Council as well. There are bright days ahead for Clan Feador!”
"Thank you, Clan Master." In truth, Kylie isn't entirely certain whether she technically qualifies as a member of the clan, being a half-elf. At best, she is something of an honorary member of the clan as a result of being Allurien's daughter and one of the Chosen.
Allurien wrote:“Thanks”, Allurien says returning the hug. “It is a daunting challenge, but one I shall face to protect this land.”
"We both will."
Allurien wrote:“Since both the Head of the Council and the Queen both speak for all Sylvan Realm elves,” Allurien explains, “they have to resign from their clans. We are both now essentially clan less, but of course we can still visit our friends. We just have to have an outlook beyond just one clan.”
This just makes Kylie's lack of a clan official, though it has more significance for her mother. "I see. It helps you avoid taking sides or showing favoritism."
Allurien wrote:“As for where we are moving too,” Allurien continues, “It is to the Royal Palace. The regular meeting place for the Clan Council is there along with offices for each of the Clan Masters. Living areas for the Head of the Clans and their family are there as well. I am not sure, but I would assume that these quarters are separate from the ones Lilia will be using. Although they should be close by.”
Kylie smirks. "The Royal Palace that we haven't actually cleared yet. Perhaps we should sleep on the ship tonight. I think Lilia had been planning to move it to the Palace tomorrow anyway, so at least we won't get left behind." As long as her mother and Dapple are with her, she doesn't really care where she sleeps.

After they have finished packing and moved out of Sheedra's new home, they descend Mother Tree. Soon, Lilia calls everyone together and addresses the assembled elves. She introduces herself, Allurien, and the leaders of the various orders that are responsible for leading the defense of the Realm: Laucian, Onas, Valena, and Arlen and Andlin.

When it is all over, Kylie is more than ready to retire for the evening. It has been a very long and eventful day, and she finds that she is quite tired. She knows that she needs to fill Lilia in on the news from Cynalon, but figures it can wait until morning.

Klovar wrote:“You are both adventuring priests,” Klovar easily states.
“I will do whatever is necessary to help get the shrine up and running,” Valena vows.
Valena, accompanied by Klovar will locate several other followers of Ehlonna. These include Thyl, Jetter and Koffa Novaion, and Torla Starglow. They all agree to make the trip to the Shrine of Ehlonna in the morning.
Later that evening, Valena escorts Klovar down to the forest around the Mother Tree. There we are able to find the other followers of Ehlonna in due time. Valena will handle the introductions.

“Jetter and Koffa Novaion are twins and were the leaders of their expeditions to restore the Mother Tree. They are Priests of Ehlonna. Thyl and Torla are Rangers of Ehlonna.”

Valena will let the others know that we plan to travel to the Shrine in the morning so that Klovar can begin the task of consecrating the altar. After that, Valena will relax and have some feywine. Lilia introduces herself to everyone and lets all know that the various organizations are recruiting.
Lilia wrote:“Last and certainly not least, there is the Order of the Silver Maidens.
Valena will wave when pointed out by Lilia. She is hopeful that a few more Silver Maidens can be had among this group. As she starts to become weary, Valena will retire to her quarters and rest. She'll perform her morning devotions upon waking and will be sure to learn the Sanctify spell for later on. After breakfast, Valena will join the others as we make the trip to Ehlonna's Shrine.

Onas Brightsword:
Argus wrote:“That makes sense,” Argus agrees. “Get a feel for the lay of the land.”
"I will see you then." Onas clasps hands with Argus in the manner of Red Arrow warriors, and then departs.

===
Allurien wrote:“That's a fine suggestion, Onas,” Allurien agrees. “We'll need enough riders to safely guard five clans as they make their way to their clan holds. Clan Feador has their clan hold below us, and Clan Long Runner will be riding on the Sunflower to reach Pinit.”
"I will see to it, Council Head Allurien," Onas replies, bowing. "The Forest Riders will be ready." He wants to be seen as serious and a good military leader, so Onas behaves in a regimented manner - particularly in front of the Head of the Council.
Argus wrote:“It seems to me that we should take the road south to the geyser fields,” Argus states studying the map. “From there we can follow the edge to the southeast and then go through the forest to reach the Clan Hold. I imagine that other clans will be using this same route for a time, so we can help guard them until our paths separate.”
After the meeting, Argus joins him near the map table as agreed. "I had also considered taking the road toward the Centaur Village, and then heading directly south just before reaching this small hill here," Onas says as he traces the route with his finger. "Mealiel is almost exactly half way between the two routes. However, the more easterly route is a bit shorter, so you are likely right that they will go that way. Though I think we should check up on the Centaur Village in the near future, getting our clan settled is the first priority."

Now that they have made their plans for the morning, Onas and Argus make their way to the forest floor. Argus summons the troops and passes their command over to Onas. He then introduces the five sergeants, each of whom Onas greets with the traditional clasping of hands.

"Thank you, Clan Master Argus," he says, then turns back to the sergeants. "Welcome to the Forest Riders! I am honored to have been selected by Queen Allandros herself to lead this troop. Our long-term mission is first-and-foremost the defense of the Sylvan Realm. We will work in concert with Commander Laucian's Golden Griffons and Commander Valena's Silver Maidens to achieve and maintain the safety of Mother Tree and the entire Realm.

"I don't know exactly how you have organized your forces in past, but here is the plan going forward. If I am not mistaken, you each command nine soldiers. I would like you to organize your squads into three triplets each. This will give us 15 quick-response fireteams that can be assigned and deployed in a very flexible manner.

"Our immediate responsibilities are to guard Mother Tree, explore the surrounding areas, and assist the settlers in reaching, clearing, and preparing defenses around their clan homes. Feador's clan home is just a little ways to the north, so they are already getting settle in. Clan Long Runner will be taking the flying ship down to Pinit and the Royal Palace. That leaves the other five clans, each of whom will be leaving in the morning for their clan homes. Determine among yourselves which of you will accompany each of the clans. You will take two of your triplets with you to guard your assigned clan along the way. When you arrive, you will help them get settled in, set up defenses, and secure the general area. If there is a stable, you will be responsible for restoring it to usable condition.

"One triplet from each of your squads will be left here to defend Mother Tree and explore the nearby areas. Sergeant Dawnhorn, your triplet will cover the eastern quadrant, from northeast to southeast. Sergeant Nightstar, yours is the northern quadrant. The southern quadrant will be covered by your triplet, Sergeant Silversword, and the west is the responsibility of Sergeant Starglow's fireteam. Sergeant Hawksong, that leaves primary responsibility for Mother Tree's safety to your triplet, along with assisting Clan Feador as needed. Each team will remain within a 3 hour ride from Mother Tree at all times, starting with the nearest areas and slowly working outward."

Onas pauses at this point. "Any questions?" Part of him is afraid that he may have come on too strong. However, this being their first meeting, he feels it is imperative to establish his authority and prepare the troop for the morrow. With so much happening, there is no time to waste in getting organized.

===
Seeing the small group, Onas approaches with a smile. He has met Sheeryl previously since arriving here in the Realm, so he addresses her first. "Hello, priestess Soulsearcher. A pleasure to see you again."

He knows priestess Zylleth as a result of his own training, though he never met her personally. The others he does not recognize, so he waits while Sheeryl performs introductions. He then greets each of them in turn in the appropriate manner among priests of the faith, starting with Soliana. "Welcome to the Sylvan Realm! I am very pleased to meet all of you, and look forward to serving the Triune Goddess with you."
Soliana wrote:“Have you seen the Halls of Trifold Harmony?” Soliana inquires. “Our records indicate that it resembles the temple in the Elfholds where all of the One and the Three can be worshiped.”

Soliana will also request Onas help with casting a Sanctify spells once the Halls of Trifold Harmony are reached.
"Sadly, no, I have not," Onas replies. "In fact, I do not know where it is. Do any of the ancient texts provide any clues to its location?"

Onas pauses for a moment. "I would be happy to help with the ritual of Sanctification. In the morning, I will be leaving to lead the Clan Red Arrow settlers to our clan home of Walltree. Once that is done, I will join you and participate in the ritual. I look forward to seeing the Halls of Trifold Harmony and worshipping within their embrace."

Another trio of priests arrive and Soliana introduces them as priestesses of the Angharradh's triplet aspects. Onas greets each of them as he did Soliana, Fenian, and Voron earlier.

===

After the various meetings and discussions have concluded, Onas turns toward the music he hears coming from nearby. Lorelei is singing, accompanied by a few other musicians, and many are engaged in dancing in time with the elegant rhythms. Having not eaten or quenched his thirst in some hours, Onas finds his way to they are being served.

Soon, Queen Lilia takes advantage of a break between songs and addresses the crowd. She starts off by introducing herself and Allurien, as many of the new arrivals may not know them yet. She then introduces the commanders of the various defense forces of the Realm, and encourages anyone so interested to volunteer. When it is his turn to be introduced, Onas takes a step forward and waves to everyone.

The queen's speech is not long, and soon the music and dancing resume. Helping himself to a small serving of feywine, Onas joins in the celebration. So many wonderful things have occurred today, that he feels a strong desire to celebrate with both the new arrivals and those who have been here a while.

Eventually, weariness creeps over him, so Onas walks away from the party. His first destination is the Heart of Mother Tree, as he wants to check on the status of Myev's cocoon. Once he has satisfied himself that all is well, he will find a place to rest until dawn.

Laucian
With Klovar and Valena-
“You are both adventuring priests,” Klovar easily states.
“That is incredible! I did not realize just how vital sanctifying the altar is to our faith.” Laucian says as he recalls his training at Ehlonna’s temple. It would seem that his temple saw him as an instrument to spread Ehlonna’s influence instead of maintaining it, which would explain his skill with a bow and the outdoors. “I will be there tomorrow, Klovar. My clan can make due without me for a time. Time that I can easily over come with Aura.”
Council Meeting-
“There is risk no matter what we do,” King Miritar states.
Laucian silently thinks to himself, ‘We should of took the spell engines and burnt the ship to ash. Then there would be nothing to track. And in time, a ship could be built that would not feel so unnatural, meaning the human feel to it.
With Allurien-

Turning to Laucian,” Allurien adds, “I am assuming that you will be having Griffon Riders accompanying the clans as well?”
“I will make it so. Our numbers are not great, a fact I wish to remedy, But I will instruct the griffons to function as aerial scouts.” When Laucian gets a moment, he will speak to Valis, Niles, Cain, Luciard and Breeze. Each will be assigned to their own clan where possible.
With Alluren-
“The days to come will not be boring,” Allurien agrees. “Well, we wouldn't want that, would we?” Allurien says with a smirk of her own.
“I welcome it.” He says with a chuckle. “I merely do not relish to tell Kylie her mother is missing so soon after finding her.” He adds with a kind smile.
“I understand,” Elder Treelife states. “Judging by the locations of the other Clan Holds, there should be several groups taking the road south. With that many elves, there will be plenty of guards and protectors.”
“I was wondering if you might like to ride Starfire? He is a good mount, a bit spirited as you could tell. I would be honoured if you would.” He says simply.”
As the Celebration begins Laucian talks and sips upon Feywine. He watches as several elves begin dancing and listening to the music and balads. “I forgot how much I missed this.” He says simply to himself. For as long as he can recall he was on the road, whether with friends and kin or hunting down orcs and other humanoids.
For a time he will dance and frolic with his kin As he takes a break from the dancing, Laucian becomes aware of As Laucian watches, he becomes aware of Gweyr slipping beside him. “Quite the day, huh?”
“Aye,” he says with a slight smile as he sees Gweyr, “It is good to see so many of our people come home. Did you see anyone you were hoping for?” he asks curiously as he takes a sip of Feywine. As a Ballad begins to play, Laucian will ask Gweyr if she wishes to dance.
Soon after, Lilia calls out and the music begins to die down as she calls out for a short speech:
“I welcome all of you to the Sylvan Realm,” Lilia calls out. “I am Queen Lilia and this is Allurien, the Head of our Clan Council. As I understand it, most of you will be heading off to reclaim your clan holds in the morning. There are several organizations that are actively recruiting as well.”
“There is the Order of the Golden Griffons and their master, Laucian Nailo,” Lilia points towards Laucian as she speaks. “These are griffon riders who are need to patrol the skies over the Sylvan Realm.”
Laucian looks about watching the other elves. Many smiles and nods are seen as the welcome to their long lost home, and Laucian raises his horn in toasting the welcome. And then Lilia calls out that the Golden Griffons are enlisting which He raises a hand in acknowledgement.
As the music starts up again, “It would see fate is cruel. It brings us all together only to see us part ways for a time. I am afraid we will not see a night like tonight for some time. Once our clans reclaim their homes, May I see you again?” he asks.
As the night comes to a close, Laucian will check on Starfire, with his animal companions in toe, minus Aura. Once satisfied Starfire is fed and taken cared for Laucian will bring his gear to the heart of the mother tree and lay out his bed roll. For a time, Laucian looks at the cocoon an says, “I hope you come to like being an elf.” As he scratches Onyx’s head and ears.
Laucian will soon go to sleep but not before his cooshee come and lay with him. When he wakes he will encourage Onyx and the Cooshee to stay with Starfire and Eler Treelife. Once done he will do his devotions to Ehlonna and pray for her guidance and blessings.
He will gather up his gear and head to the Griffon stables. He sees other members there and makes sure that they are all ready for their assignments. “Once the clans are settled see to the Griffon stables and see to their repair if needed. I trust I will see you all back here in a few days.”
Mounting up on Aura, Laucian will make his way with Aura to Ehlonna’s temple then on to find his clanmates.
Til Ehlonna's will be done

Lia
Listening to the clan meeting on what to do there are several concerns to the realm. Slavers, Fire Giants, Humans as well as the reclaiming of the Elfin Palace from Moorkroft’s Magic Jar and the reclaiming of Clan Long Runner’s domain.
Lia listens to the Ballads song and smiles up hearing the sultry voice. “I have not had the pleasure of hearing such songs before!” within moments she can feel herself enjoying the music and dancing.
Recalling something she had not spoken of, she goes to find Queen Lilia, “Excuse me Lilia? Is it normal for one from the elfholds to know what a drow is? I mean to know what it looks like?” she asks curiously as she looks down at her feet then up to meet the Queen’s eyes. “There was an elf today that said he never knew what a drow looked like, better still that he wanted to look around as he was a leaf in the wind… “ Lia will say, she will go more indepth if Lilia asks.
Sometime later the music is interrupted and Lia dances a few more steps as Lilia calls forth and welcomes them all to the Slyvain realm.
Curious, Lia approaches Valena and asks, “What are the requirements to join the Silver maidens?” She asks curiously.
As the party comes to an end Lia will make her way to the Sunflower. She will pray to Eilistraee for her teachings, wisdom and blessings for the coming days.
The last thing you shall hear is the bladesong of my sword.
