Sylvan Realm #20 (#64)

December 3rd, CR 571 or Deepnight 25th, 20,519 AP

Before the Rainbow Bridge arrives:

Laucian wrote:“Remind me to leave when that begins.” he says evenly as a small smirk begins to play about his features.
“I always give far warning when one should abandon something that I am about burn,” Gweyr adds. “I would never hurt a friend. Or a loved one.”
Laucian wrote:“Here’s to old acquaintances and new.” He says looking out among those gathered. “There are some of my clan that I would wish to see.” He says thinking of the members of his clergy.
“Hopefully you will get the chance,” Gweyr easily says.
Laucian wrote:“That is only for the gods to know.”he says stoically. “There was a time I would have killed her without a second’s hesitation. In truth, I probably should have for what she was. Thankfully, I did not for I would have killed an elf. My time in the Lost Valley opened my eyes. Lia and Talen taught me much of tolerance, it was an area I was found wanting.” He chuckles softly, “With experience comes wisdom.” He says evenly looking at the cocoon.
“That's what they tell me,” Gweyr says in regards to wisdom coming from experience. “Still, it is a good thing that you held off on your urges. I know that must have been really hard for you. Any idea how long this change will take?”

The Rainbow Bridge has arrived:

The Rainbow Bridge has finally arrived! Hundreds of elves have already arrived, along with more than a few familiar faces. One Argus Bloodmoon has approached Onas and Arlen Brightsword. Laucian is close by. Argus asks if Chandra is around, as he is in command of a unit sent to supplement his forces.
Onas wrote:"Well met, Argus!" Onas replies, though his smile quickly fades. "Chandra's dead, I'm sorry to say."
“What?!” is all Argus is able to say before Laucian speaks.
Laucian wrote:“Subtlety is not one of your strong points it would seem, Onas.” He says evenly to the armored elf, “That honor Chandra never received. Queen Lilliathelionn was voted our queen” he says evenly as he points Lilia out in turn. “It is as Onas said, Chandra fell in battle.” He states evenly resisting the urge to say more.
“And even before that happened, Chandra was not elected King of the Sylvan Realm,” Arlen adds. “He was elected Head of the Clan Council. It was a trust that he betrayed when he went against the wishes of the Queen. He acted beyond his station and paid a horrible price for his pride.”

“That's not how this was supposed to happen,” Argus answers, still a bit in shock. “Chandra has planed for this for many years. It was his destiny to rule the Sylvan Realm.” Argus turns and glances towards Lilia. He does not seem pleased in the least.
Onas wrote:Looking back to Argus, Onas mentions the King's arrival. "I see King Doriath has come to help us celebrate the re-establishment of the Sylvan Realm. I know it has been some years, but it seems only yesterday that we first departed the Elfholds."
“Doriath is no longer the King,” Argus says as he watches Doriath converse with Lilia. “That honor know belongs to Elian Miritar formerly of Clan Chossum.”

Laucian steps away from the Brightswords as Clan Elder Arloen Treelife approaches bearing the reigns of his horse Starfire.
Laucian wrote:Laucian looks at the Clan Elder with a smile upon his face. “Greeting Clan Elder! It is good to see you. How was your crossing?” He asks curiously wondering what the rainbow bridge feels like.
“It was a most curious experience,” the Elder from Clan Grunalf states. “It felt like I had the wind in my face, but I never felt fear or danger. It was... interesting.”
Laucian wrote:In that moment he sees the black stallion with a white starburst upon it’s brow begin to paw the ground excitedly as Laucian’s smiles grows wider, “Starfire!” he calls out as he takes the reigns on his long lost mount. He gently places his hands on the horse’s neck and places his head against his nose. “It is good to see you old friend. I trust Elder Treelife gave you plenty of apples and carrots?” he says looking to the clan elder. Looking back at his Clan Elder, “I am in your debt, I trust he was not too much trouble?”
“He was no trouble,” the Clan Elder says. “Indeed, he did bear me to where the Rainbow Bridge would appear at. Ielenia and Ivellios send their regrets as they could not get away to be able to cross over this time. They hope to make the journey to the Sylvan Realm the next time the bridge opens.”
Laucian wrote:“Is it not beautiful to behold? There has been much that has happened since we saved the mother tree yet so much more to do. I, too wish to see our clan holds reclaimed as our Queen’s palace. Speaking of her, Lilliathelionn ascended to the position of Queen. I was asked to be our clan leader though I declined the honor,” he says simply. “for another pursuit.”
“Lilia? Queen?” Arloen says with a laugh. “My, how far that one has come! I recall having to almost push her out of the Clan Hold to go on Sherwood Elf-Friends quest.”

“Am I to understand that we are actually in the top of the Mother Tree? Extraordinary! She is so much bigger then the Daughter Tree's back in the Elfholds. You can almost see the entire forest from up here.”
Laucian wrote:“Perhaps you would like to see realm by the back of a Golden Gryphon?” he asks curiously.
“You have griffons?”, the Clan Elder responds. “The stories are true that the griffons serve the elves here? The view must be majestic! Yes, once things are settled down, I would love to ride a griffon.”

“Have you seen our Clan Hold yet?” the Clan Elder inquires. “There is around 150 of us that plan to go forth and reclaim our ancient home. I wonder how far away it is. Would you help lead us there?”

A bit further away, Lilia has visitors of her own to speak with. King Doriath and what she guesses is his personal guard approach.
Lilia wrote:“You honor me and my companions,” Lilia graciously states. “We all played a significant role in the restoration of the Mother Tree. We have accomplished much, but there is still so much more to do.”
“I imagined and hoped that there would be,” Doriath states. “I have so been looking for a new challenge and helping in the restoration of the Sylvan Realm seems like a worthwhile one.”

Seeing Lilia's confusion, Doriath continues on with, “I have stepped down from being the King of the Elfholds. I have served in that capacity for many hundreds of years and I grow weary of the role. The new King of the Elfholds is Elian Miritar formerly of Clan Chossum.”

Doriath turns and gestures towards one of the elves behind him. “King Miritar of the Elfholds, this is Queen Allandros of the Sylvan Realms.”

“Well met,” King Miritar states as he bows towards Lilia. “I and the other Clan Leaders have made the trip to the Sylvan Realm so that we can help set up the local leadership and make plans for the future. Clearly you have already completed the leadership part if you already have a Queen. I am pleased that you took the initiative to carry out this task. It will save a great deal of time as we only have a few hours to spend here. We shall be departing again before the Rainbow Bridge closes up once more.”

“We can talk later on, Your Majesty,” Doriath says to Lilia. “It was my hope that in what time I have left before I pass on that I and a few of my former advisers may serve you in that capacity. We have much wisdom that we can share was you forge the destiny of the Sylvan Realm.”
Lilia wrote:“Thirteen hundred elves?” Lilia repeats in shock. “That is far beyond my wildest hopes! We will need to spread out from Golden Peak. There will not be enough room for all here. The town of Feadiel is located at the base of the Mother Tree. Those who plan on staying will need to move down there for today.”
“With the near loss of the Mother Tree,” King Miritar relates, “there are many elves that want to come back to the Sylvan Realm. There are those who wish to restore their old Clan Holds, while there are those looking for a fresh start. And more than few Elders who want to walk this ancient land before they pass on. It is estimated that about 10 percent of the clans are moving from the Elfholds to the Sylvan Realm. Who have you elected Head of the Clan Council? They will need to know this knowledge so that they can coordinate such a huge influx of new arrivals.”
Lilia wrote:“It seems that a whole new set of challenges have arisen given just how many elves have returned to the Sylvan Realm,” Lilia concludes.
“Welcome to rulership,” Doriath says with a laugh. “Its one problem after another. Perhaps if you can point me to the exits to the ground, we can start moving the new arrivals down from the Mother Tree. We wouldn't want to test just how many elves she can support this day.”

Another of the new arrivals came over the Rainbow Bridge in the form of a raven. Spotting Valena, the raven lands turning into a male elf as they do so.
Valena wrote:“Well met, Klovar Windrunner,” Valena says in greeting to a fellow follower of the Lady of the Forests. “Yes I have seen the Ladies Shrine with my own eyes. What kind of priest can change forms like that?”
“I am a Druid of Ehlonna,” Klovar proudly states. “It is my ability to assume the shape of the creatures of the forests so that I can do the Lady's good work. And whom might you be, Forest Sister?”

Aided by the High Keeper and those of Clan Feador already here in the Sylvan Realm those who plan to stay are shown the paths down the Mother Tree. Those who watch see the various Clan Leaders and important members of the individual clans emerge.

“Oh, there is the Clan Master of Long Runner and his wife,” Gweyr tells Laucian as she points. “Beasthunter is the name he goes by and his wife is called Coolhands. Pity we don't have a Sylvan Realm Long Runner Clan Master any more to properly greet them. He died among those who followed Chandra to the north.”

Clan Master Stobon rushes forward to meet with Clan Master Brendian for Clan Erendyl in the Elfholds. The two exchange greetings and then move off to speak in private.

Likewise the Chossum Clan Masters greet each other. For the Sylvan Realm it is Voluril Ocing while Lynwyln Chossum represents the Elfholds.

“There's the Clan Master for the Elfholds branch of Clan Feador,” Allurien Feador tells her daughter Kylie. “He is Dyradyl Feador.”

“Allurien!”, Dyradyl calls out upon seeing Kylie's Mother. “Its been far too long!”

“Welcome to the Sylvan Realm, Clan Master,” Allurien says in greeting and the two exchange a hug. “I have been elected Clan Master for our clan here in the Sylvan Realm.”

“That's wonderful,” Dyradyl says. “I cannot think of a better person to speak for our clan here in the Sylvan Realm.”

“This is my daughter Kylie,” Allurien states as she gestures towards Kylie. “She was one of the Chosen who did restore the Mother Tree and liberate the Sylvan Realms.”

“You have done well, young lady,” Dyradyl tells Kylie. “You have restored the status of Clan Feador. For that we are all in your debt.”

Not too far away, Laucian spots the Grunalf Clan Master from the Elfholds, Durifern, emerge from the Rainbow Bridge. Triestar Silvarost, the Sylvan Realm Clan Master greets him warmly. Durifern will nod towards Laucian when their eyes meet. Then Triestar will guide Durifern towards Queen Allandros.

Olantius Jasus, the Sylvan Realms Clan Master for Clan Mealidil comes forward to meet his Elfholds counterpart Mealidan Mealidil.

Finally, the last of the Elfholds Clan Masters arrives with his own unit of warrior guards. It is Redsword Truetalker, the Clan Master for the Red Arrow Clan. He looks around as if looking for someone, but cannot seem to find them. Spotting Onas, Arlen and Argus Bloodmoon, Redsword approaches them.

“Clansmen,” Redsword calls out as he approaches with military precision. “Report!”

More elfin horses are brought to the Sylvan Realm by the Red Arrows along with more armored warriors. Among them is Onas' steed: Carad Orod!

After the last batch of horses and riders emerge, those who are merely transporting goods from the Elfholds to the Sylvan Realm go back over the Rainbow Bridge. The small group of elves departing the Sylvan Realm leave as well.

Further back, a fair distance from the ever growing horde of elves, Lia is content to watch. Suddenly, a voice speaks to her. Someone had gotten beside Lia without her noticing!

“Hello there,” a male voice says. “Are you too shy to join the others?”

Lia turns to discover that it is the tall, handsome elf with the platinum blond hair!

“I am Xavier,” the handsome elf smoothly says. “What is your name?”

GM Notes:

As most of you know, druids are not one of my favorites based on the alignment that they must adhere to. However, starting in 3rd edition the alignment restriction of a druid only being true neutral was relaxed a bit. Druids still had to be Neutral, but now they could also be Neutral Good or Neutral Evil. Klovar is a Neutral Good druid.

Oh, and by the way, Laucian has never been to Lost Valley. He was in the New Frontiers game while Blackflame was going on. Of course, he could have heard tales about the place.

There are currently 3 positions currently unfilled as far as the Elfin Council goes. There is no Clan Master for Clan Red Arrow or Clan Long Runner. Likewise, there is no Head of the Clan Council.

Still more to talk about.

Now what?

Onas Brightsword:
Laucian wrote:“Subtlety is not one of your strong points it would seem, Onas.” He says evenly to the armoured elf
Not sure how else to respond, Onas shrugs. "Sorry. I guess it wasn't part of my training."
Arlen wrote:“And even before that happened, Chandra was not elected King of the Sylvan Realm,” Arlen adds. “He was elected Head of the Clan Council. It was a trust that he betrayed when he went against the wishes of the Queen. He acted beyond his station and paid a horrible price for his pride.”
Listening to his brother's accounting of Chandra's fate, Onas can only shake his head. Chandra was a fine warrior and leader; it is unfortunate that his life ended in such a disastrous manner. Though he has heard the story before, still it is a sad fate.
Argus wrote:“That's not how this was supposed to happen,” Argus answers, still a bit in shock. “Chandra has planned for this for many years. It was his destiny to rule the Sylvan Realm.” Argus turns and glances towards Lilia. He does not seem pleased in the least.
Onas is not certain what Argus' stake in Chandra's plans was. "Perhaps it was his destiny; I cannot say one way or the other. What I can say is that Chandra made the crucial mistake of letting his ego make his decisions for him. That road almost always leads to ruin."

Onas pauses for a moment, then addresses Argus once more. "The Queen has tasked me with organizing a force of Forest Riders here in the Realm. I hope you and your squad will join me in this endeavor."
Argus wrote:“Doriath is no longer the King,” Argus says as he watches Doriath converse with Lilia. “That honor know belongs to Elian Miritar formerly of Clan Chossum.”
Now it is Onas' turn to be shocked. Doriath has been king since before Onas was born! "Really?! What happened, Argus? How did that come to pass?"

Looking about, Onas can see pairs of clan masters from a variety of different clans greeting one another. He is about to comment, when there is a sudden interuption.
Redsword Truetalker wrote:Finally, the last of the Elfholds Clan Masters arrives with his own unit of warrior guards.

“Report!”
As Clan Master Redsword barks his order, Onas instinctively straightens into a military stance. "Yes, Clan Master!" he replies. "The Mother Tree has been restored and the orcs have been driven from the Realm!" Under the circumstances, Onas is reluctant to say more. He doesn't know the Clan Master well, and isn't certain how he will take the news.
More elfin horses are brought to the Sylvan Realm by the Red Arrows along with more armored warriors. Among them is Onas' steed: Carad Orod!
Hoping that Arlen and Argus will respond further to Redsword Truetalker, Onas lets his eyes wander back toward the exit from the Rainbow Bridge. A happy smile spreads across his face as he spots Carad Orod being brought forth! It is so heart-warming to see his best friend and closest companion once again.

Kylie Lanthorn of Clan Feador:
“There's the Clan Master for the Elfholds branch of Clan Feador,” Allurien Feador tells her daughter Kylie. “He is Dyradyl Feador.”
Kylie turns to see the man indicated by her mother. As he approaches, she attempts to memorize his name and features in case of later encounters.

As Allurien and Dyradyl greet one another, Kylie stands patiently, observing their interaction. From what she can tell, he seems like a caring and supportive person. It is not long before her mother introduces her to the other Clan Master.
Allurien wrote:“This is my daughter Kylie,” Allurien states as she gestures towards Kylie. “She was one of the Chosen who did restore the Mother Tree and liberate the Sylvan Realms.”
Kylie curtsies as she greets Dyradyl. "A pleasure to meet you, Clan Master. Welcome to the Sylvan Realm!"
Dyradyl Feador wrote:“You have done well, young lady,” Dyradyl tells Kylie. “You have restored the status of Clan Feador. For that we are all in your debt.”
Not so many months ago, Kylie would have been embarrassed and uncertain under similar circumstances. It says much about her growth and experiences over the past few months that she doesn't blush or shrink back. "Thank you, Clan Master. It has been an honor and a privilege to contribute to the recovery of this magnificent land. There is much yet to do and to explore here, and it is an exciting time for all of us."

Lilia:
Lia wrote:“That is my understanding as well. I will see that the Darksong Knights are remade. What plans do you speak of?” she asks curiously.
“Oh, just how I see events unfolding,” Lilia explains. “Restoring the Elfin Palace will give us a base of operations to work from and allow Laucian to space he needs for the Golden Griffons here on Golden Peak. It will also be a place where the Sunflower can be properly docked and kept away from the Mother Tree.”

“Secondly, and this is only a theory on my part, the notes left behind from the humans who lived in the forts indicated that they were tired of serving Moorkroft. Their leaders had instructed them to search for what they called the 'arrival point' for a 'travel column'. Given what we saw in the ruins to the north, I have the feeling that this travel column is another name for a Pillar Artifact and that it is here in the Sylvan Realm itself and that these humans can use it to come here. Something has to be blocking it so that at that they cannot leave it. That suggests to me that it is on the island where the Elfin Palace is. After all, they seemed to want a way to attack Moorkroft and he was at the palace. Likewise, the palace is protected by the thorny growth and that could be what blocked the humans. If there is a Pillar Artifact there, and if Talen truly does know how to use it, then we will find out there.”

“Once that task is done, then there are other matters to deal with. Returning to the ruins to see if the orcs and the Hive had regrouped. Seeing what the humans and the fire giants are doing beyond our borders and if they are a danger to us. Working to create something like Alfheim here in the Sylvan Realms where other races can come to visit and trade. It can also be a place for the half-elves to call home.”

“And that is just the start,” Lilia concludes. “New challenges will arise once those are dealt with. Plus with have the situation with Myev and the other elves from her world and the impending arrival of the slavers. There is much to do.”

The Rainbow bridge has opened and guests have arrived. King Doriath is among the first Lilia speaks with.
Doriath" wrote:“I imagined and hoped that there would be,” Doriath states.

Lilia opens her mouth in surprise. Doriath had been king longer than she had been alive! But, in retrospect, Doriath is old, even for an elf. It is believed that he is well over 600 years old.
Doriath wrote:Doriath turns and gestures towards one of the elves behind him. “King Miritar of the Elfholds, this is Queen Allandros of the Sylvan Realms.”
King Miritar wrote:“Well met,” King Miritar states as he bows towards Lilia.
“Welcome to the Sylvan Realm, King Miritar,” Lilia says in greeting, bowing as well. Hopefully this new king will be easy to deal with as he will be in this role for a very long time. “Yes, one of the first things we did once the Sylvan Realm was secured was to select Clan Masters. Once that was done, a vote was held for king or queen which I won with a single vote over Chandra.”
Doriath wrote:“We can talk later on, Your Majesty,” Doriath says to Lilia. “It was my hope that in what time I have left before I pass on that I and a few of my former advisers may serve you in that capacity. We have much wisdom that we can share was you forge the destiny of the Sylvan Realm.”
“I look forward to the conversation, Ki-- Doriath,” Lilia answers.
King Miritar wrote:“With the near loss of the Mother Tree,” King Miritar relates, “there are many elves that want to come back to the Sylvan Realm.
“I understand,” Lilia tells King Miritar. “I am very pleased that so many have come to breath live back into this ancient forest. Alas, several positions are currently empty. The Clan Masters for Red Arrow and Long Runner were killed along with the Head of the Council.”
Doriath wrote:“Welcome to rulership,” Doriath says with a laugh. “Its one problem after another. Perhaps if you can point me to the exits to the ground, we can start moving the new arrivals down from the Mother Tree. We wouldn't want to test just how many elves she can support this day.”
“That would be most helpful,” Lilia says to Doriath. “I see the High Keeper and those who work with him are already doing that. He can help point you and the new arrivals in the right direction.”

Turning back to King Miritar, Lilia says, “It seems to me that since your time here is short, we should gather both the Elfholds Council and the Sylvan Realms Council immediately. Get our missing positions filled and a new Head of the Council elected. Then we can have discussions on how to proceed in the future with relations between us.”
Either by my magic or my bow you WILL fall!

Laucian listens as Arlen speaks up then the elf leader shows his shock and unhappiness with the appointment of Lilia as queen and the apparent lose of Chandra. This is one to watch and to warn Lilia of. The ranger cleric thinks to himself as he excuses himself.

“You have griffons?”, the Clan Elder responds. “The stories are true that the griffons serve the elves here? The view must be majestic! Yes, once things are settled down, I would love to ride a griffon.”
Laucian watches the Clan Elder the excitement apparent, “Indeed, Her name is Aura, and there are countless others. It is more than that though, The griffons not only serve but are friends. When the Slyvan realm was reclaimed the realization that the Golden Griffons and Silver Maidens could be reborn. Even the Darksong knights were spoken of in some regard. It is why I turned down the clan counsel. While leading and managing our clan is important, I felt our protection was paramount. reformed the Golden Griffons and to see them soar again is majestic as well.”
“It would be my honor to show you the Slyvan realm as a Golden Griffon. “

“Have you seen our Clan Hold yet?” the Clan Elder inquires. “There is around 150 of us that plan to go forth and reclaim our ancient home. I wonder how far away it is. Would you help lead us there?”
“Unfortunately, I have not. It would be my honor to help my clansmen. I would imagine that it would take a few days, less by way of the griffons. I do not know what may inhabit the area though.”he adds thoughtfully. “The map table may give us some insight to where our home lay.”

Lia
Further back, a fair distance from the ever growing horde of elves, Lia is content to watch. Suddenly, a voice speaks to her. Someone had gotten beside Lia without her noticing!
Lia watches as the elves as they happily meet each other and marvel at the home away from home. A slight smile begins to etch across her dark features. ‘Will I be this way when I return to the Lost Valley?”she muses to herself, ‘If I return.’ A sombering thought as thoughts of reforming the Darksong knights comes to her mind.

“Hello there,” a male voice says. “Are you too shy to join the others?”
So lost in her thoughts and elf watching she does not hear or see someone approach her.
Lia turns to discover that it is the tall, handsome elf with the platinum blond hair!
Lia moves with a start her hand going to her sword, as she turns. Her times in the woods making her weary of others she looks at the elf that spoke and sees a handsome, tall elf with platinum blonde hair. Her Lavender eyes narrow then relax beneath her cowl as she relaxes her grip upon her sword. “You are a quiet one! I am far from shy, merely watchful.”she says looking up at him, “I did not wish to alarm our kin.”
“I am Xavier,” the handsome elf smoothly says. “What is your name?”
“Lia of the Lost Valley.”she says simply as she reaches up and lowers her cowl, her silver hair falling about her face. She squints for a moment as her lavender eyes look up at Xavier. “What brings you here?”she asks curiously,” Which clan are you from?”

“Oh, my apologies!” Valena realizes that she hasn't introduced herself yet. “I am Valena Feador, Priestess of Ehlonna, Master of the Order of the Silver Maidens. I bid you welcome to the Sylvan Realm.”

“There are at least a dozen other followers of Ehlonna here in the Sylvan Realms,” Valena continues. “We did wonder if one of us was to tend to the shrine or if another would come. I guess that answers that question.”

“So you can change into animal forms, like the raven? That must be a most wondrous gift! The Lady has given me the ability to speak to any and all animals.”

“The shrine is not far away, perhaps five or six miles.”

Gweyr

Laucian wrote:“The scro deserved it.”he says looking at the red headed elf. “They wiped out our kin on a distant planet.” explaining the urge to end the scro.
“A crime that they more than deserved to be punished for,” Gweyr agrees. “Still to be driven to extinction by orcs is almost unthinkable. Those elves might be our kin, but they may not be anything like us. Perhaps they were pacifists, for instance. Ill-equipped for war when it came to their forest.”
Laucian wrote:“Sadly I do not. Only the gods know.”he says simply to the fire mage. “I still wonder what form she will take…” looking back at the cocoon, “as there are many types of elves.”
“That there are,” Gweyr easily agrees. “We shall all know when the times comes.”

Later on that afternoon, the Rainbow Bridge opens and a horde of elves emerge, far more than anyone expected. Most are new arrivals looking to restore their clan holds. Others are here to offer their services to protect the Sylvan Realm.

Near the end of the procession are a group of Tree Keepers. They are the men and women who tend to the Daughter Trees back in the Elfholds. They have come to see the Mother Tree with their own eyes and perhaps pick up new methods on how to tend to such grand trees.

Among the last of the new arrivals to emerge is Nilat Blackwood. He is the current Head of the Clan Council for the Elfholds.

Clan Red Arrow
Onas wrote:Onas is not certain what Argus' stake in Chandra's plans was.

“I-- I don't know,” Argus answers. Onas cannot be sure if Argus even really heard the question as he is so distracted as he watches Lilia speak to Doriath.
Onas wrote:Now it is Onas' turn to be shocked. Doriath has been king since before Onas was born! "Really?! What happened, Argus? How did that come to pass?"
“Doriath felt is was time to step down from his responsibilities,” Argus explains. “Some say that he is already over 600 years old. Others say that he was come to the Sylvan Realm to spend is last days here before he passes on.”

Not long after Argus and his riders arrived, Red Arrow Clan Master Redsword Truetalker also arrived.
Onas wrote:As Clan Master Redsword barks his order, Onas instinctively straightens into a military stance. "Yes, Clan Master!" he replies. "The Mother Tree has been restored and the orcs have been driven from the Realm!" Under the circumstances, Onas is reluctant to say more. He doesn't know the Clan Master well, and isn't certain how he will take the news.
“Very good,” Redsword responds in a pleased voice. “Where is Chandra?”

“As I just explained to Argus here,” Arlen easily states, “Chandra is dead. He was not elected King of the Sylvan Realm as some thought he would. That honor when to Queen Lilliathelionn Allandros. Instead, Chandra was elected to Head of the Clan Council.”

If Redsword is angry by this development, he does not show it like Argus did. “Tell me what happened, Arlen.”

“Chandra covertly set out to attack the orcs that had already been routed, in defiance to the Queen's orders. She did not want to see the Mother Tree left unguarded until we received backup from the Elfholds.”

“An understandable position,” Redsword nods. “Protecting the Mother Tree was the goal of the mission.”

“Chandra gathered up nearly thirty elves and during the night they rode rocs to where the orcs lived to the north,” Arlen continues. “They engaged the orcs and uncovered an ancient evil called the Hive. Chandra was killed in the conflict with many of those who rode with him. Including the Clan Masters for Red Arrow and Long Runner. Queen Allandros mounted a rescue mission and returned with the survivors a few days ago.”

By now Redsword is agitated by what he is hearing. “That stupid fool!” he curses. Turning to his clansmen he adds, “Let this be a lesson. Never put yourself above the mission and respect the chain of command. I am unfamiliar with this Queen Allandros. What can you tell me about her?”

Laucian wrote:“That is good to hear.”Giving the stallion affectionate pet on his head, his chocolate eyes staring back at him. It would be good to see Ielenia and Ivellios, much has changed since I last saw them and you.” He says thoughtfully.
“Has something else changed?” the Clan Elder asks. “Nothing terrible has happened has it?”
Laucian wrote:“You are not mistaken, Clan Elder. But she is no mere tree. She is a very large ent.” He says to his elder, “This realm reaches far more than you or I can see. We have seen most of it in our short time. In fact there is a table that depicts the Sylvan Realm and all it holds.”
“There were rumors that the Trees of Life could walk,” the Clan Elder says. “But the Tree Keepers wouldn't say one way or the other.”
Laucian wrote:Laucian watches the Clan Elder the excitement apparent, “Indeed, Her name is Aura, and there are countless others. It is more than that though, The griffons not only serve but are friends. When the Sylvan Realm was reclaimed the realization that the Golden Griffons and Silver Maidens could be reborn. Even the Darksong knights were spoken of in some regard. It is why I turned down the clan counsel. While leading and managing our clan is important, I felt our protection was paramount. reformed the Golden Griffons and to see them soar again is majestic as well.”
“Now those are names I have not heard for a very long time,” Treelife notes in regards to the Golden Griffons and the Silver Maidens. The Darksong Knights are unknown to him. “You have your own griffon? Is she near?”

“It is a noble aspiration to wish to serve all elves instead of just your clan,” Elder Treelife notes. “You have done very well for yourself, Laucian.”
Laucian wrote:“It would be my honor to show you the Sylvan Realm as a Golden Griffon.“
“Perhaps later on today, before we lose the light,” the Clan Elder says. “Unfortunately, I have my own duties to attend to. Helping our clan members settle in and get ready to make journey to our ancient Clan Hold. Tomorrow morning at the latest?”
Laucian wrote:“Unfortunately, I have not. It would be my honor to help my clansmen. I would imagine that it would take a few days, less by way of the griffons. I do not know what may inhabit the area though.”he adds thoughtfully. “The map table may give us some insight to where our home lay.”
“Lead on then,” the Clan Elder says with a gesture. “If you have as many griffons as you indicated, then perhaps the logical first step is to send scouts to make sure Einsun is safe for our clan to resettle.”

Lilia and Kings
Lilia wrote:“Welcome to the Sylvan Realm, King Miritar,” Lilia says in greeting, bowing as well. Hopefully this new king will be easy to deal with as he will be in this role for a very long time. “Yes, one of the first things we did once the Sylvan Realm was secured was to select Clan Masters. Once that was done, a vote was held for king or queen which I won with a single vote over Chandra.”
“I can understand why this Chandra lost,” King Miritar notes. “You are a Priestess of the All-Father and also one of the Chosen. Its hard to go against a hero who saved the Mother Tree.”
Lilia wrote:“I understand,” Lilia tells King Miritar. “I am very pleased that so many have come to breath live back into this ancient forest. Alas, several positions are currently empty. The Clan Masters for Red Arrow and Long Runner were killed along with the Head of the Council.”
“That is grave news,” King Miritar notes.
Lilia wrote:Turning back to King Miritar, Lilia says, “It seems to me that since your time here is short, we should gather both the Elfholds Council and the Sylvan Realms Council immediately. Get our missing positions filled and a new Head of the Council elected. Then we can have discussions on how to proceed in the future with relations between us.”
“That makes sense,” the King agrees. “Is there a place we can gather in private? Each clan brought along prospective Clan Masters as we could not be sure of those positions were filled or not. Replacing those missing Clan Masters should not be difficult. Then the Sylvan Realm Council can elect a Head of the Council. After that, we can discuss matters concerning the Elfholds and the Sylvan Realm.”

“I'll gather up the Elfhold Clan Masters,” King Miritar says. “You can assemble their Sylvan Realm counterparts.”

Valena wrote:“There are at least a dozen other followers of Ehlonna here in the Sylvan Realms,” Valena continues. “We did wonder if one of us was to tend to the shrine or if another would come. I guess that answers that question.”

Valena wrote:“So you can change into animal forms, like the raven? That must be a most wondrous gift! The Lady has given me the ability to speak to any and all animals.”

“That it is,” the Clan Master says. “At least now you are no longer alone in this endeavor.”

Before more can be said, King Miritar and Queen Allandros approach.

“The Clan Councils will be gathering shortly,” King Miritar says. “We have much to do before you pass back over the Rainbow Bridge.

“Of course, Your Majesty,” Dyradyl says to King Miritar. “Where are we to gather?”

“I'll show you where, Clan Master,” Allurien offers. “Excuse us, Kylie. This might take a while, so I will meet up with you later on.”

King Miritar wrote:“I can understand why this Chandra lost,” King Miritar notes. “You are a Priestess of the All-Father and also one of the Chosen. Its hard to go against a hero who saved the Mother Tree.”
“When the task was complete and the Mother Tree restored,” Lilia explains, “we were all granted a boon from the elfin gods. It was my wish to become a Priest of the All-Father. Thus he made it so. The others received gifts according to their wants and desires. We all continue to serve the Sylvan Realm and protect the Mother Tree.”
King Miritar wrote:“That is grave news,” King Miritar notes.
“It was... disappointing,” Lilia admits. “The orcs had been routed from our forests and were fleeing to their homes over the mountains. It was my decision to stay here and protect the Mother Tree while she regained her strength. Chandra had been elected the Head of the Clan Council, much to his disappointment. He had expected to be named King, but his aggressive nature put off many. During the night he and a few dozen elves rode rocs to reach the orc camp over the mountains to the north. They did deliver a decisive blow to the orcs, but also encountered an ancient evil known as the Hive. The Hive are parasites and took control of elf and orc alike. Chandra and many with him died in the conflict that followed.”
King Miritar wrote:“That makes sense,” the King agrees.
“We have been using the meeting area of the Order of the Golden Griffons here on Golden Peak,” Lilia explains. “One of our first tasks will be to reclaim the Elfin Palace here in the Sylvan Realm. Moorkroft used parts of it as his base of operations. We only saw a small part of it as it was protected by a thorny growth.”
King Miritar wrote:“I'll gather up the Elfhold Clan Masters,” King Miritar says. “You can assemble their Sylvan Realm counterparts.”
“Agreed,” Lilia stats as they move off.

The representatives for Clan Feador are the closest. Allurien and Kylie are there, conversing with an unknown elf.

“Allurien, Kylie, this is King Miritar,” he now is the King of the Elfholds,” Lilia explains. “Kylie was another of the Chosen who helped restore the Mother Tree.”

Lilia says her goodbye's before moving on to the the next representatives. Since King Miritar knows those on the Elfholds Council, Lilia will just follow him for now.

“It is one of the ancient orders here in the Sylvan Realm,” Valena explains. “The Silver Maidens is an elite unit of lady elves who ride unicorns. Given that the requirements to be a Silver Maiden is being accepted by a unicorn, only those who are pure of heart can be chosen. Our numbers are few, but I hope that they will grow in number thanks to the Rainbow Bridge opening.”
Klovar wrote:“I figured that there were already several followers of the Lady of the Forests in the Sylvan Realm,” Klovar admits. “I simply assume that I was chosen to maintain the shrine as all of the rest of you had other duties to attend to.”
“Most likely, yes,” Valena admits. “Laucian from Clan Grunalf is also a Priest of Ehlonna, but he now has his own order to command. The Order of the Golden Griffon. Griffon riders who patrol the skies over the Sylvan Realm. While it is important to serve the Lady of the Forests, we also have responsibilities to our orders and the Sylvan Realm as a whole.”

“Alarm them from what?” Xavier innocently asks. He seems completely oblivious that Lia is a drow!
Lia cocks her head and raises a quizzical eyebrow. “Surely you jest?” she says simply but then smiles and shakes her head. “My apologizes, as of late that is not the reaction I receive. You must for give me.”
Lia looks the elf over, focusing on his eyes. ‘Perhaps he is blind?’she thinks to herself, ‘Or does he really not care I am a drow.’ Lia looks down at her black boots for a moment then smirks to herself as a realization comes to her, ‘Perhaps he sees people for who they are, not what they are.’
“Curiosity mostly,” Xavier admits. “I heard some much about the Sylvan Realm that I just had to see it for myself. I do not pledge my allegiance to any particular clan. I am simply a wandering elf, nothing more.”
“Curiosity?”she asks in reply, “In truth, I didn’t hear much about the Sylvan realm, even the outside world from where I come from. I came to get a better understanding of the world. To experience life and to live it.”
“I have no clan in the way elves perceive, merely family and companions.” She says matter of factly. “In truth, I was not a full fledge drow up until a few days ago, I have much to learn.”She says simply as she looks at those about her, taking those about her.
“Where do you hail from? What is it you seek? A home? Knowledge? Or are you merely a leaf in the wind?
“It is good to see so many with smiles upon their faces.” She says taking in those around her. “While I swear no allegiance to any clan, I am loyal to my companions. And I will defend them as I would my family. Perhaps I am above the clans and see them for what they are, kin.”she says simply glacing back at Xavier.
The last thing you shall hear is the bladesong of my sword.

(Just and FYI- I am playing Laucian as though he does not know about the slavers
returning. He was not about when the news was broke.)
“Has something else changed?” the Clan Elder asks. “Nothing terrible has happened has it?”
Laucian pauses for a moment reflecting on what he spoke of and what he had heard from the Clan Elder. “We have had our set backs. Chandra, whom was voted Head of the Clan Counsel and several of his followers were lost to us, mere days ago.”
“There was a settlement of Orcs to the north and he acted against the will of our Queen. We tried to rescue them, sadly we were not 100% successful as we fought Scro and giant insects known as the Hive. “There were rumors that the Trees of Life could walk,” the Clan Elder says. “But the Tree Keepers wouldn't say one way or the other.”
“Perhaps they are still rumors.” He says slyly.
“Aye, the chosen were granted a boon for their service in restoring the Mother tree. Lilia became a priest of the All Father and Lia a Drow.”He says simply reflecting on the adventure. “I grew to cherish flying on a griffon. They are noble, fiercely loyal and beautiful in their own way. I asked for a Griffon and the knowledge to handle her. Her name is Aura and she is stabled not far from here.” Looking at Starfire, he can’t help but feel slightly guilty but surely there will be times where a horse may fair better than that a griffon and vise-versa. “Once I secure a stable for Starfire I would be happy to introduce you to Aura.”
Laucian looks the Clan Elder in the eyes with a look of pride and respect, “You do me a great honor.”he says in a bit of shock hearing it from his clan elder.
“Perhaps later on today, before we lose the light,” the Clan Elder says. “Unfortunately, I have my own duties to attend to. Helping our clan members settle in and get ready to make journey to our ancient Clan Hold. Tomorrow morning at the latest?”
“It would be my honor.”

“As you wish, Clan Elder.” He says bowing ever so slightly. “They are as wild as they are loyal. It may take time to assemble them as the Golden Griffons will be assigned to patrolling our skies. It maybe more suitable to hike there.”
Laucian will find a stable and secure Starfire( away from the griffons) . Once Done he will escort the Clan elder to the Golden Griffon’s Headquarters and the table of the Slyvan realm to further discuss the Clan Elder’s plan.
Til Ehlonna's will be done

Argus' reply is disappointing, and Onas does his best to hide his disappointment. "Okay, well, we can discuss it more at a later time."
Argus wrote:“Doriath felt is was time to step down from his responsibilities,” Argus explains. “Some say that he is already over 600 years old. Others say that he was come to the Sylvan Realm to spend is last days here before he passes on.”
The explanation does make some sense. Onas hadn't realized that Doriath was quite that old, if it is true. "I understand. It will be good to have him here. I'm sure he will be able to provide Queen Lilia with valuable advice and guidance."

Onas listens patiently as Clan Master Truetalker and Arlen discuss Chandra's fate and Lilia's selection as Queen. It seems that his brother has managed to pick up more details regarding what happened than he himself has. 'I need to do a better job of keeping myself informed if I'm going to lead the Forest Riders,' Onas thinks to himself.
Redsword wrote:By now Redsword is agitated by what he is hearing. “That stupid fool!” he curses. Turning to his clansmen he adds, “Let this be a lesson. Never put yourself above the mission and respect the chain of command. I am unfamiliar with this Queen Allandros. What can you tell me about her?”
Onas nods his understanding of the Clan Master's instruction. He then turns to the subject of the queen. "I do not know her well, Clan Master, but I can say that the queen is very intelligent and - though young - appears to be well educated. She was one of the Chosen that rescued the Mother Tree, and was apparently rewarded by Corellon himself with the honor of becoming one of his priests. She seems to have the support of all of the other Chosen, as well."

Dyradyl wrote:“That it is,” the Clan Master says. “At least now you are no longer alone in this endeavor.”
"Indeed," Kylie says as she sweeps the receiving area with her gaze. "I notice that at least some of those who came through appear to be returning. Do you happen to know roughly how many intend to stay, Clan Master Dyradyl?"

Just then, Lilia approaches with another elf that Kylie does not know.
Lilia wrote:“Allurien, Kylie, this is King Miritar,” he now is the King of the Elfholds,” Lilia explains. “Kylie was another of the Chosen who helped restore the Mother Tree.”
Once again, Kylie curtsies when introduced. "An honor to meet you, King Miritar." There must be a story of some kind regarding how he became king, but it seems she will have to wait for another time to hear it.
Allurien wrote:“I'll show you where, Clan Master,” Allurien offers. “Excuse us, Kylie. This might take a while, so I will meet up with you later on.”
"Ok, mom, I'll see you later. Bye, Lilia." Kylie watches them leave, then turns and surveys the area to see who else might be interesting to talk to.

Looking in the direction that Lilia and Miritar approached from, Kylie spots someone familiar. It appears to be King Doriath! Intrigued, she flies over that way, lands somewhat near him, then approaches respectfully on foot. "King Doriath? Is that you?" She's not certain if he will remember her, but wants to confirm his identity before saying more.

Laucian wrote:“As you wish, Clan Elder.” He says bowing ever so slightly. “They are as wild as they are loyal. It may take time to assemble them as the Golden Griffons will be assigned to patrolling our skies. It maybe more suitable to hike there.”
“I will defer to your fine judgment in this matter,” the Clan Elder easily says. “You are a woodsman and have been out and about in the ancient forest recently, so you know what we will be dealing with.”
Laucian will find a stable and secure Starfire( away from the griffons) . Once Done he will escort the Clan elder to the Golden Griffon’s Headquarters and the table of the Sylvan realm to further discuss the Clan Elder’s plan.
“After seeing to Starfire's stabling, Laucian leads Elder Treelife to the headquarters of the Order of the Golden Griffons. The Elder is in awe of the griffons stabled before him. Such creatures are rarely seen in the Elfholds and were never friendly. The Elder is very cautious around the large bird.

“Amazing! She seems unafraid of me. May I?” the Elder akss as he slowly reaches out his hand toward the griffon.

Afterwards the pair make their way to the meeting area of the Golden Griffons. The large table has a map of the Sylvan Realm on it, indicating all the important locations. Einsun is quickly found to be east, southeast of the Mother Tree. It is a few miles in from a large clearing.

The Elder takes in the map. “Yes, this shows all that we need to know. It seems to me that when we set out we should take the road south from the Mother Tree and then spend the evening at this griffon stable by the geysers. From there we'll take the road east and then follow the edge of the forest across the plains to the north to the Clan Hold. On foot, we should arrive on the fourth day.”

Kings and Queens:

King Miritar, the new ruler of the Elfholds speaks to Queen Allandros, the ruler of the Sylvan Realm.
Lilia wrote:“When the task was complete and the Mother Tree restored,” Lilia explains, “we were all granted a boon from the elfin gods. It was my wish to become a Priest of the All-Father. Thus he made it so. The others received gifts according to their wants and desires. We all continue to serve the Sylvan Realm and protect the Mother Tree.”
“Amazing,” King Miritar notes. “I am sure that prosperous times lay ahead for the Sylvan Realm if all of the Chosen remain here.”
Lilia wrote:“It was... disappointing,” Lilia admits.
“A waste,” King Miritar notes. “Skilled elves taken from us too soon due to the ego of another.”
Lilia wrote:“We have been using the meeting area of the Order of the Golden Griffons here on Golden Peak,” Lilia explains. “One of our first tasks will be to reclaim the Elfin Palace here in the Sylvan Realm. Moorkroft used parts of it as his base of operations. We only saw a small part of it as it was protected by a thorny growth.”
“That will do for now,” King Miritar agrees. “I am unfamiliar with the Order of Golden Griffons. What role do they fulfill?”

“I have only heard stories of the Elfin Palace here in the Sylvan Realm. I would very much like to visit it, but I imagine that such a thing would have to wait for another time.”

“That does remind me, however,” King Miritar says as he gestures to one of his entourage behind him. The elf comes forward and hands a ornate wooden box to the King. It does resemble something one might store jewels in. “When Dorwynn relocated the elves to the Elfholds, he took with him these. They were to be used by the ruler of the Sylvan Realm and their associates. While I am unsure just what these do, perhaps you might understand.”

King Miritar hands the box to Lilia. The Queen opens it to reveal several of the wooden pendents that were found earlier in the Elfin Palace. The pendents allowed one to pass through the portals in the trees to move to other locations in the palace.

Written on the inside of the lid is a list of the pendents and who should use them.

The Pine Pendant is the most common of the wooden leafs. This pendant was used by the griffon riders stationed at the Palace and by guests. These were also the pendants that were found at the Elfin Palace weeks ago when the Chosen went to find the medallions that Moorkroft had in his possession.

The Elm Pendant is the next wooden leaf. This one was used by the students of the mage school that was part of the palace and by low priority guards.

Next is the Ash Pendant and these were given to the faculty of the elfin mage school.

The Oak Pendant was the next most important leaf. This leaf was given to the Clan Masters and their staffs so that they could access the meeting areas and offices for the Clan Council. Higher priority guards also have this pendant.

The Maple Pendant went to the Head of the Clan Council and their family, as the Elfin Palace was also their home.

Lastly, there is the Redwood Pendant. This pendant went to the ruler of the Sylvan Realm, their family and to the royal guard.

The Pendants are listed in order of least powerful to most powerful. The Redwood Pendant can access every area of the Elfin Palace, but Elm Pendant can only access areas where Elm or Pine Pendants are allowed.

Klovar:
Valena wrote:“It is one of the ancient orders here in the Sylvan Realm,” Valena explains.
“I see,” Klovar says in awe. “There are that many unicorns here in the Sylvan Realm? They are very rare down in the Elfholds.”
Valena wrote:“Most likely, yes,” Valena admits.
“And griffons too?” Klovar says in an impressed tone. “How did you manage to train so many griffons in so short a time?”
Valena wrote:“It is a useful ability,” Valena says. “But to actually change into animals themselves! I admit that I am a somewhat envious.”
“I imagine that it is glorious to fly on the back of griffon,” Klovar states a grin, “but not as glorious to fly on your own as a bird.”
Valena wrote:“I will make the time to show you and the other followers to the Shrine of the Lady.” Valena vows. “So far, only Laucian and myself have been there, so there are many who need to make the trip.”
“Let us schedule that for the morning,” Klovar suggests. “I think I would like to spend the rest of this day looking around and meeting with the other faithful.”

Feador Clan:
Kylie wrote:"Indeed," Kylie says as she sweeps the receiving area with her gaze. "I notice that at least some of those who came through appear to be returning. Do you happen to know roughly how many intend to stay, Clan Master Dyradyl?"
“I am told that there are around 1300 elves who are moving to the Sylvan Realm,” Dyradyl answers. “About 100 are from Clan Feador and will join with those already here. There are also those looking to help guard the Sylvan Realm.“

“Those who are going back over the Rainbow Bridge are transporting supplies,” Dyradyl continues. “They are going back for another load.”

Queen Allandros arrives with guests.
Lilia wrote:“Allurien, Kylie, this is King Miritar,” he now is the King of the Elfholds,” Lilia explains. “Kylie was another of the Chosen who helped restore the Mother Tree.”'
Kylie wrote:Once again, Kylie curtsies when introduced. "An honor to meet you, King Miritar." There must be a story of some kind regarding how he became king, but it seems she will have to wait for another time to hear it.
“A half-elf was among the Chosen?” King Miritar says in mild surprise. “I was unaware of this, but then again, the All-Father had his reasons for what he did. The results are all that matters. Thank you for your service and all that you have done, Kylie.”

“Now this is one that I have heard about before,” King Miritar notes turned to Allurien. “I have heard of the exploits of Allurien Feador before. It is an honor to meet you good lady.”

“King Miritar,” Allurien responds with a cool nod. “I believe that you already met my daughter, Kylie.”

“Your daughter?” King Miritar sputters in even more surprise. “My word. That does explain a great deal. I meant no offensive, good lady.”

“None taken,” Allurien says with a satisfied grin. “Come Clan Master, I will show you to our temporary meeting area.”
Kylie wrote:"Ok, mom, I'll see you later.

The figure does look familiar to Kylie. He stands about 5'5” and is handsome. Wrinkles are beginning to form on his face and he has fair skin and light blond hair.

“I am Doriath, young lady, but king no more,” the man answers with a grin. “I remember you now. You were one of the Chosen! We met briefly down in Alfheim. Thank you for all you've done.”

Xavier:

Further away from the main throng of elves, Lia has met the mysterious Xavier...
Lia wrote:Lia cocks her head and raises a quizzical eyebrow. “Surely you jest?” she says simply but then smiles and shakes her head.
“I made no attempt at humor,” Xavier says, a bit puzzled.
Lia wrote:“My apologizes, as of late that is not the reaction I receive. You must for give me.”
“Why is that?” the handsome elf has to wonder. “Its not like you are hideous or anything? Why would the elves be so mean?”
Lia wrote:“Curiosity?”she asks in reply, “In truth, I didn’t hear much about the Sylvan realm, even the outside world from where I come from. I came to get a better understanding of the world. To experience life and to live it.”
“Oh, down in the Elfholds it was all I heard about these last few days,” Xavier explains. “So I just had to come and see what all the fuss was about!”
Lia wrote:“I have no clan in the way elves perceive, merely family and companions.” She says matter of factually. “In truth, I was not a full fledged drow up until a few days ago, I have much to learn.” She says simply as she looks at those about her, taking those about her.
“Drow?” Xavier says in surprise. “You're a drow? I had no idea that's what a drow looked like. Guess I learned something new today.”
Lia wrote:“Where do you hail from? What is it you seek? A home? Knowledge? Or are you merely a leaf in the wind?”
“A leaf on the wind is as good of an explanation as any,” Xavier answers.
Lia wrote:“It is good to see so many with smiles upon their faces.” She says taking in those around her. “While I swear no allegiance to any clan, I am loyal to my companions. And I will defend them as I would my family. Perhaps I am above the clans and see them for what they are, kin.” she says simply glancing back at Xavier.
“Those are nice and noble sentiments,” Xavier will agree. “Thank you for the informative conversation, Lia. I think I will look around some more.”

Clan Red Arrow:

The Brightswords have met several of their clan. The first was Argus Bloodmoon. He was high ranking commander in the Red Arrow Warband back in the Elfholds. Then there is the Clan Master himself, Redsword Truetalker. Like many in Clan Red Arrow, some take colorful names that describe themselves. The Clan Master was first called Redsword due to his combat skills. Later on, when he first became the Clan Master, Truetalker was added as he tends to speak the truth. The truth of Chandra is revealed and talk turns to Queen Allandros.
Onas wrote:Onas nods his understanding of the Clan Master's instruction.
Argus Bloodmoon is also listen as Onas speaks about Queen Allandros. Upon hearing this new information, his anger fades from his face and is replaced with genuine surprise.

“And Chandra crossed her?” the Clan Master says in amazement. “Clearly he did not seem to know whom he was dealing with. It's no wonder he lost everything.”

“Still, we can salvage this situation and restore the honor of Clan Red Arrow here in the Sylvan Realm,” Truetalker continues. “It seems that a great many things are already in place here in the Sylvan Realm. What plans have you made?”

“We are in the beginning stages of planning,” Arlen reports. “Several of the ancient Sylvan Realm orders have been restarted and are looking for new applicants. Laucian of Clan Grunalf is the Master of the Order of Golden Griffons. A military unit whose members ride griffons in battle. And yes, Clan Master, riding a griffon is as exhilarating as it sounds! While Laucian himself was not one of the Chosen, he did accompany them on their perilous mission. Thus he is highly regarded here the Sylvan Realm.”

“Units of aerial cavalry,” Truetalker notes approvingly. “Most useful in battle and in peace.”

“The Order of Silver Maidens has been reborn as well,” Arlen continues. “They are led by Valena Feador. She also assisted the Chosen on their mission and is respected. The Silver Maidens are ladies mounted on unicorns.”

“Unicorns?” Truetalker repeats in awe. “Many of us have never seen a unicorn and yet they are common enough here to use as mounts? Extraordinary!”

“A new order has been proposed by Andlin Alastra,” Arlen explains further. “One that I shall be assisting him in running. We are calling it the Queen's Guard. What we are proposing is a huge pool of skilled adventurers that we can draw upon and assign tasks based on their skills. So we can field units of scouts, or support, or combat. Whatever is needed at the time to deal with out ever problem that we are facing.”

“I like it,” Truetalker admits. “Quick response units are essential to properly defend a land this large. A very useful tool. I have heard of Andlin Alastra before. A fine, noble warrior.”

“Last, and certainly not least, Queen Allandros has charged Onas here to form the Forest Guard,” Arlen adds. “Light cavalry on elfin horses to be patrol the roads beneath the trees where the Griffon Riders cannot reach and the Silver Maidens are too few to patrol.”

“From the sounds of it, Argus,” Redsword says to his companion, “there does not seem to be the need for much military leadership here in the Sylvan Realm. They seem to have everything already in place that they are going to need.”

“It was foolish of me to believe everything Chandra told me, Clan Master,” Argus Bloodmoon admits sheepishly. “I had visions of commanding an elite force of elves in glorious battle against our enemies.”

“There are other ways to serve, if you are willing Argus,” the Clan Master states. “With Chandra gone, we need a Clan Master for here it he Sylvan Realm. Arlen and Onas will be busy with their organizations to fully concentrate on the restoration of our ancient Clan Hold. Those moving here to resettle in Walltree will need leadership and guidance. All of these military organizations will need new, trained recruits to increase their numbers. Does that sound like worthwhile challenge, Argus?”

“That it does, Clan Master,” Argus says, perking up noticeably. Turning towards Arlen and Onas, he adds, “Will you allow me the honor of leading our clan here in the Sylvan Realm?”

“I have no issue,” Arlen states. “Onas?”

Not long after that, King Miritar and Queen Allandros step up to the leaders of Clan Red Arrow. Introductions are made.

“Queen Allandros,” Arlen proudly states, “this is Clan Master Redsword Truetalker of the Elfholds.”

“The Clan Council shall be gathering shortly,” King Miritar explains. “We have much business to cover before the day ends and the Rainbow Bridge.”

The Clan Council:

While Laucian and Elder Treelife are pouring over the map of the Sylvan Realms, other elves start to arrive. Allurien Feador is among the first, along with another elf.

“Hello, Laucian,” Allurien says in greeting. Indicating her companion, she adds, “This is the Feador Clan Master from the Elfholds, Dyradyl Feador. The King and Queen have called for a combined Clan Council before those from the Elfholds have to depart back over the Rainbow Bridge.”

GM Notes:

Let me know if you plan to observe the Clan Council or not. Who will be the Clan Master for Clan Red Arrow? Just how many pages can these posts go?

Kylie Lanthorn of Clan Feador:
Dyradyl wrote:“I am told that there are around 1300 elves who are moving to the Sylvan Realm,” Dyradyl answers. “About 100 are from Clan Feador and will join with those already here. There are also those looking to help guard the Sylvan Realm.“

“Those who are going back over the Rainbow Bridge are transporting supplies,” Dyradyl continues. “They are going back for another load.”
Surprise registers momentarily in Kylie's eyes. "1300?! That is far more than I had anticipated! We should be able to achieve far more here in the days ahead, with that many people Sounds like Clan Feador is one of the smaller groups, then, though there are a number of us here already."

Kylie is just about to ask about the supplies when Lilia and Miritar arrive.
King Miritar wrote:“A half-elf was among the Chosen?” King Miritar says in mild surprise. “I was unaware of this, but then again, the All-Father had his reasons for what he did. The results are all that matters. Thank you for your service and all that you have done, Kylie.”
Kylie's left eyebrow arches when this new king expresses surprise regarding her half-elven nature. "You're welcome, King Miritar. In truth, there were two other half-elves, Lia and Talen, among the five Chosen. You may find them interesting to meet," Kylie concludes with a smile. She cannot help but wonder what he might think of the half-drow twins; one of which is now full drow.

The exchange between her mother and the king proves quite entertaining. Though she keeps her face impassive, Kylie is laughing inside. It seems the king is learning a lot this day. Kylie watches curiously as the king and queen move off.
Doriath wrote:“I am Doriath, young lady, but king no more,” the man answers with a grin. “I remember you now. You were one of the Chosen! We met briefly down in Alfheim. Thank you for all you've done.”
"It was my pleasure to aid the Sylvan Realm," Kylie responds. "It is a beautiful land. And I'm honored that you remember me, Doriath; it was from that meeting that I was able to recognize you just now."

A smile creeps across her face. "So many people desire to rule others, yet you seem quite happy to no longer be king. Surely there is an interesting tale there?"

Kylie has no real interest in the Clan Council meeting. Allurien will likely fill her in later on what happens.

Onas Brightsword:
Argus wrote:Argus Bloodmoon is also listen as Onas speaks about Queen Allandros. Upon hearing this new information, his anger fades from his face and is replaced with genuine surprise.

“And Chandra crossed her?” the Clan Master says in amazement. “Clearly he did not seem to know whom he was dealing with. It's no wonder he lost everything.”
"He knew, and did not care, thinking himself greater still," Onas responds in a matter-of-fact tone.

Onas listens as his brother fills in the Clan Master regarding the situation here in the Sylvan Realm. Redblade seems pleasantly surprised by the news of friendly griffins and unicorns; Onas knows that they are quite rare in the Elfholds. He feels a bit of pride when his role in developing the Forest Riders is mentioned, though he knows he has a long ways to go before it will be a reality.

Then the question of Clan Master for Red Arrow here in the Realm comes up.
Argus wrote:“That it does, Clan Master,” Argus says, perking up noticeably. Turning towards Arlen and Onas, he adds, “Will you allow me the honor of leading our clan here in the Sylvan Realm?”
Arlen wrote:“I have no issue,” Arlen states. “Onas?”
Onas pauses to think for a moment. "Argus, it has been my experience in my short time here that very little here is as it first seems. As long as you are willing to think carefully before making decisions and not follow Chandra down his unfortunate path, then I have no objection to you leading our clan."

Queen Lilia and King Miritar arrive shortly thereafter. Onas will bow to both rulers as the introductions are made. He vaguely recalls Miritar from the Elfholds, and it is to be hoped that he will grow to be as great a king as Doriath was.
King Miritar wrote:“The Clan Council shall be gathering shortly,” King Miritar explains. “We have much business to cover before the day ends and the Rainbow Bridge.”
Onas decides to tag along unless otherwise excused. It may be valuable to him to know the thinking of the Council if he is to lead the Forest Riders.

Lia
Lia listens to the words of Xavier as he says he made no attempt at humor. Lia furls her brow as she realizes this elf does not have much in the way of humor. More surprising he sees past her skin and states why would they be mean.
While thankful for the offhanded comment of her not being hideous, Lia can’t help but wonder and elf not knowing the mistrust of Dark elves is a bit surprising.
“Oh, down in the Elfholds it was all I heard about these last few days,” Xavier explains. “So I just had to come and see what all the fuss was about!”
“What brought you to the Elfholds?” she asks curiously.
“Drow?” Xavier says in surprise. “You're a drow? I had no idea that's what a drow looked like. Guess I learned something new today.”
“Aye I am.” She says simply trying to hide her confusion and interest. This is definitely something he will have to bring up to the others.
“A leaf on the wind is as good of an explanation as any,” Xavier answers.
“I understand completely. What would cause the leaf to leave the wind?” she asks curiously.
“Those are nice and noble sentiments,” Xavier will agree. “Thank you for the informative conversation, Lia. I think I will look around some more.”
“No thank you, Xavier. You have brought sunlight on a dark subject.” Looking after the handsome elf and watching him go. Looking away from Handsome elf she looks around the crowd and sees Lillia gather amongst some others. ‘Time to join the crowd and stop watching…” she says as she lifts her cowl above her head, her hair falling beneath it.
As she approaches she hears, “The Clan Council shall be gathering shortly,” King Miritar explains. “We have much business to cover before the day ends and the Rainbow Bridge.”
Her curiosity peaked, Lia follows those to the Clan Counsel.
The last thing you shall hear is the bladesong of my sword.

Laucian
“That is unfortunate,” Elder Treelife notes. “The Sylvan Realm can use all the able bodied elves that it can get. While I did not know this Chandra, his actions did jeopardize the Mother Tree and the heritage of the elfin people as a whole. Giant insects, you say? How strange.”
“Strangest of all is they burrowed into your brain, controlled you and changed you into one of them.”he says simply. “That would have been Chandra’s fate.” He says stoically to his clan elder. “It is a fate far worse than death.”
“I look forward too it,” the Elder says with a grin. “I see you have cooshee's as well! I cannot recall ever seeing so many of them in one place before. Wonderful companions they are.”
“Aye, Sana and Conall, they just appeared one day. I have heard of their loyalty and compassion as well as their ferocity in battle. Ehlonna has blessed me in ways I never imagined.”he says simply a smile etching across his features.
“I will defer to your fine judgment in this matter,” the Clan Elder easily says. “You are a woodsman and have been out and about in the ancient forest recently, so you know what we will be dealing with.”
“There is a chance we may meet centaurs and brownies on our travels.”
Griffon Stable---
“After seeing to Starfire's stabling, Laucian leads Elder Treelife to the headquarters of the Order of the Golden Griffons.

“She will see you as a friend perhaps an equal. By all means,” He looks to Aura and then to the Elder. “She was a gift from the heavens. Wait until you feel the wind upon your face and they will show you the world.”he says affectionately to the griffon. “It is the landing you have to look out for.”he says with a laugh as he recalls his first trip through the trees.
The Elder takes in the map. “Yes, this shows all that we need to know. It seems to me that when we set out we should take the road south from the Mother Tree and then spend the evening at this griffon stable by the geysers. From there we'll take the road east and then follow the edge the forest across the plains to the north to the Clan Hold. On foot, we should arrive on the fourth day.”
“It makes sense. Though the geysers are the griffons hunting ground. Our kin shall know not to let their mounts wonder. It will be good to have our people home once again.”
The soft footfalls can be heard as other elves begin to come into the Golden Griffons. “Allurien.”He says with the nod of his head as he sees the elf with her and is soon introduced. “Well met Dyradyl, I am Laucian Nailo of Clan Grundalf and Golden Griffons. I trust you know Elder Treelife.” He says simply as he puts out his arm in greeting.
Looking to Elder Treelife, “We will have to see to the Clan needs after the meeting.”

Lilia:

Lilia speaks to he Elfholds counterpart, the newly installed King Miritar.
King Miritar wrote:“That will do for now,” King Miritar agrees. “I am unfamiliar with the Order of Golden Griffons. What role do they fulfill?”
“They are griffon riders,” Lilia easily explains. “The griffons in the Sylvan Realm were magically changed by our ancestors. They can understand us and are always friendly to an elf. They are a form of aerial heavy cavalry and long distance scouts.”
King Miritar wrote:“I have only heard stories of the Elfin Palace here in the Sylvan Realm. I would very much like to visit it, but I imagine that such a thing would have to wait for another time.”
“We did not get to see much of it when we were there a few weeks ago,” Lilia adds. “Next time I hope to see all of it.”
King Miritar wrote:“That does remind me, however,” King Miritar says as he gestures to one of his entourage behind him.

Lilia accepts the box with a curious look on her face. She opens it to find a collect of the wooden pendants that we found earlier at the Elfin Palace. But there is much, much more than that! It seems that there were different pendants giving different levels of access. Spotting a redwood pendant, Lilia will grab it for safe keeping. With this pendant, she should have access to all sections of the Elfin Palace.

“Yes, I do know what these are,” Lilia will say to King Miritar. “The Elfin Palace is not a single structure, rather it is a series of areas built high the trees that are connected by portals. These portals appear in the trunks of the trees when you have one of these pendants. These pendants will allow us to access all areas of the Elfin Palace. Thank you for this wonderful gift!”

Lilia starts to hand off the box to someone else when she realizes that she does not have a entourage like the King of the Elfholds does. Instead she will gesture for Andlin to come closer.

“Will you please hold on to this for me?” Lilia asks. “The contents are very valuable!”

After conversing for a while, we move off to round up all the members of the Clan Council. Allurien and Kyle are the first up. King Miritar is surprised to learn that half-elves were among the Chosen.
King Miritar wrote:“A half-elf was among the Chosen?” King Miritar says in mild surprise. “I was unaware of this, but then again, the All-Father had his reasons for what he did. The results are all that matters. Thank you for your service and all that you have done, Kylie.”
Kylie wrote:Kylie's left eyebrow arches when this new king expresses surprise regarding her half-elven nature. "You're welcome, King Miritar. In truth, there were two other half-elves, Lia and Talen, among the five Chosen. You may find them interesting to meet," Kylie concludes with a smile. She cannot help but wonder what he might think of the half-drow twins; one of which is now full drow.
King Miritar wrote:“Now this is one that I have heard about before,” King Miritar notes turned to Allurien. “I have heard of the exploits of Allurien Feador before. It is an honor to meet you good lady.”
Allurien wrote:“King Miritar,” Allurien responds with a cool nod. “I believe that you already met my daughter, Kylie.”
King Miritar wrote:“Your daughter?” King Miritar sputters in even more surprise. “My word. That does explain a great deal. I meant no offensive, good lady.”
Allurien wrote:“None taken,” Allurien says with a satisfied grin. “Come Clan Master, I will show you to our temporary meeting area.”
While Lilia does not sense any malevolence from King Miritar, his words were in poor taste. Allurien most skillfully puts him into his place. Kylie's mother has skill when it comes to politics.

As we depart from Allurien and Kylie, Lilia adds, “Yes, as Kylie noted, there were more half-elves than full elves among the Chosen. In fact the other two have drow ancestors. One of them, Lia was turned into a full drow as her reward for restoring the Mother Tree. She wanted to honor her grandmother. It seems to me that the All-Father is not as hung up on half-elves and drow as many elves are.”

Not long after that, King Miritar and Queen Allandros step up to the leaders of Clan Red Arrow. Introductions are made.
Arlen wrote:“Queen Allandros,” Arlen proudly states, “this is Clan Master Redsword Truetalker of the Elfholds.”
“Welcome to the Sylvan Realm, Clan Master,” Lilia says in greeting. Lilia is most curious what the Clan Master of Red Arrow is going to say, since he most likely has heard about Chandra's fate. Lilia will let him make the first move.

Once everyone has been notified, Lilia will led King Miritar to the meeting area of the Golden Griffons. Several are already there along with several guests. Upon seeing Elder Treelife, Lilia rushes up to him and gives him a big hug!

“Elder!” Lilia happily calls out. “It is so good to see you again. What brings you to the Sylvan Realm?”

To Laucian, Lilia adds, “This is Laucian of Clan Grunalf. He is the Master of the Order of Golden Griffons, the aerial cavalry I mentioned earlier. Laucian, this is King Miritar. He has replaced Doriath in the Elfholds.”

When Lilia sees her, she will gesture for Lia to come closer. “This is Lia,” Lila states to those around here who do not know. “She was another of the Chosen who restored the Mother Tree. She was originally a half-elf with drow ancestry, but was changed into a full drow by the elfin gods as her reward.”

Lilia will chat with those present until everyone is present to start the gathering of the two clan councils.
Either by my magic or my bow you WILL fall!

Laucian
Laucian cannot help but smile as he watches the Queen run up and hung Elder Treelife. Lilia has come a long way since their time in the inn. To see her journey till now has been a pleasure and he is grateful to call her friend and queen.
To Laucian, Lilia adds, “This is Laucian of Clan Grunalf. He is the Master of the Order of Golden Griffons, the aerial cavalry I mentioned earlier. Laucian, this is King Miritar. He has replaced Doriath in the Elfholds.”
“Well met, King Miritar,” He says with a slight bow. “May your reign be fruitful and peaceful.” He says simply. “Has Doriath passed on?”he asks curiously.
Laucian will converse with anyone on hand and greet those civilly.

Lia
Following the others up to the Golden Griffons meeting area, Lia cant help but watch the comradery among the elves both the new clan elders and old and that of those about her.
She steps into the meeting room and looks around her cowl covering her features for the most part. She watches for a time then Lilia spots her and motions her forward.
Taking a deep breath, Lia lowers her cowl and shakes free her silver hair. She smiles at those gathered ignoring the shocked looks as the thoughts of Xavier’s words come to her mind.
“Pleasure to meet your acquaintance.” She says bowing ever so slightly, her lavender eyes taking in those before her.

Valena:
Klovar wrote:“I see,” Klovar says in awe. “There are that many unicorns here in the Sylvan Realm? They are very rare down in the Elfholds.”
“While I am unsure how many unicorns there are in the Sylvan Realm,” Valena notes, “I have seen a family of three at one time. It was a majestic sight that I will never forget.”
Klovar wrote:“And griffons too?” Klovar says in an impressed tone. “How did you manage to train so many griffons in so short a time?”
“Our ancestors trained them,” Valena explains. “They can understand us and are friendly to elves. To other races not so much.”
Klovar wrote:“I imagine that it is glorious to fly on the back of griffon,” Klovar states a grin, “but not as glorious to fly on your own as a bird.”
“Perhaps,” Valena says. “Both would be glorious.”
Klovar wrote:“Let us schedule that for the morning,” Klovar suggests. “I think I would like to spend the rest of this day looking around and meeting with the other faithful.”
“A reasonable course of action,” Valena agrees. “Let's look for some of the other others.”

Having not seen Laucian for a time, Valena leads Klovar and her cooshee's to the Golden Griffons area. Sure enough, Laucian is there with several others who are talking. Lilia is there as is Onas and many others.

When she is able, Valena will speak to Laucian. “It seems that the Lady of the Forest has sent another to tend to her shrine. This is Klovar, a Druid of Ehlonna. What's going here?”

Onas Brightsword:

They have become a group of some size by time they reach the Golden Griffon hall. Laucian is already there with another man whom he introduces as Elder Treelife, presumably the Grunalf Clan Master from the Elfholds. While he probably should know them better, Onas never really paid much attention to politics before, so he is not familiar with all of the Clan Masters. The new king of the Elfholds is introduced as well. Surprisingly, Queen Lilia greets Elder Treelife with a hug! She must know him well from her days in the Elfholds; could she be from Clan Grunalf originally?

When Laucian looks in his direction, Onas nods in greeting to the leader of the Golden Griffons.

Moments later, Lilia calls for Lia and introduces her as one of the Chosen. From her behavior, Onas suspects that she wasn't really expecting to be drawn into the limelight like this. Still, she faces it with grace belying her age.

The next to enter is Valena. Seeing her, Onas cannot help but smile. He gives her a nod in greeting as well, then joins her and Laucian when she introduces a druid of Ehlonna. Hoping that he's not being too forward, Onas offers his hand in greeting. "Well met, Klovas. I must admit to having met few druids. I'm Onas Brightsword, a priest of Angharradh." If the opportunity presents itself, he will introduce himself similarly to Elder Treelife.

Laucian
When Laucian looks in his direction, Onas nods in greeting to the leader of the Golden Griffons.
Laucian sees several of those he saw earlier including the Brightsword brothers. He returns Onas’ no in greeting and then Valena appears.
Laucian makes his way about the room leaving the Clan Elders to meet each other for what he guesses is for the first time as equals. He sees Valena and smiles as she approaches with another elf in toe.
"It is good to see you Valena. Who is your friend?”
When she is able, Valena will speak to Laucian. “It seems that the Lady of the Forest has sent another to tend to her shrine. This is Klovar, a Druid of Ehlonna. What's going here?”
Extending his arm to the druid, Laucian smiles in greeting. “Klovar, Welcome to the Slyvan Realm I don’t believe I have ever met a druid before. You are in for a treat, Forest Brother. The shrine is very beautiful and it’s inhabitats are very majestic.“ he looks to Valena for a moment then looks back to the druid. Honestly I am not entirely sure.” He says simply, “Judging by the new council members and Elder Treelife… perhaps a meeting of both counsels?
Soon enough Onas joins them:
The next to enter is Valena. Seeing her, Onas cannot help but smile. He gives her a nod in greeting as well, then joins her and Laucian when she introduces a druid of Ehlonna. Hoping that he's not being too forward, Onas offers his hand in greeting. "Well met, Klovas. I must admit to having met few druids. I'm Onas Brightsword, a priest of Angharradh." If the opportunity presents itself, he will introduce himself similarly to Elder Treelife.
“I trust all is well with your counterpart, Onas. He seemed very vexed upon hearing of Chandra's los"s to Lilia.
