Tales from the Edge - Hunter and Hunted

Post by GM Fang »

Korianna has met Imik Suum, a Sullestan, who seems to be engaged in a similar investigation to that of Kori and her sister. Imik implies that he is looking for a man named Seng Windrunner.
Kori wrote:“I don't know of him specifically,” Kori easily answers. “But there are other men who have disappeared under, shall we say, mysterious circumstances.”

A far corner table is chosen and Kori wave Lani to join them. Once seated, Kori will add, “I was told that you were also looking for someone who is missing, like we are. In our case its my sister's husband. He's a dock worker who was at first arrested by the Imperials and then the next day they denied that had happened. We have no idea where he is right now, but Vorn suggested that we were both looking into the same matter. And here we are, looking to compare notes and find our missing men.”
Imik will explain his story and what he has learned so far. Recently the Imperials took his friend, a Human swoop jockey named Seng Windrunner, into custody. In addition to living the rowdy life of a swooper, Seng had been vocal about not being a fan of Emperor Palpatine's New Order. Seng was taken into custody by one Lieutenant Herkin. Herkin, in turn, had Seng brought up to the Star Destroyer Devastator in orbit. Since then, Imik has had no success in learning more about Windrunner's status. "It is as if the Empire has made him disappear." Imik does know that Herkin makes frequent visits to Tatooine, however, and that he is currently in Mos Shuuta visiting Teemo the Hutt.

"My best plan so far is to find someone to sneak into the Landing Bay and plant a homing beacon on the lieutenant's shuttle. If we can track Herkin's movements, then maybe Seng can be found. It's very likely that the same thing happened to your relative that happened to Seng. Do you know anyone here who could help us?"

Now what?

Kori:

Kori listens to Imik's story and doesn't like it one bit. Imperial involvement? A star destroyer in orbit? Kori feels way over her head in this matter.

“What landing bay is his shuttle at?” Kori asks. “Maybe a friend of Larek there could help us?”

Kori glances at Lani to see if she has anyone in mind.

Mile'ka -

Passing quickly by the Imperial sentries which are preoccupied by the short gunfight, the Twi'lek enters the Landing Bay. This one is somewhat large and there are three YT-1300s here. One is having some repairs done by droids. There seems to be other activity here as well. Another of the ships is having cargo loaded by dock crew and the last seems to be undergoing an inspection by the human dock supervisor.

The dock supervisor gives Mile'ka a look or two but does not approach or say anything unless the Twi'lek comes closer.

Now what?

Korianna -

Imik, Lani and Kori compare notes and begin the stages of a plan to try and find their lost people.
“What landing bay is his shuttle at?” Kori asks. “Maybe a friend of Larek there could help us?”
Imik will say that the Lieutenant's shuttle is at Landing Bay Besh.

Lannera adds, "Larek worked at Landing Bay Aurek. But I think he knew a couple of people at Besh. Maybe we should head over there?" After a moment, she asks, "What about that Twi'lek you were talking to when I walked up. She looked like she could handle herself."

Imik will add, "If we cannot get near the Imperial shuttle, another option would be to try and access it through the Spaceport Control. Of course that might be even harder to get into. Too bad we don't have a droid...."

“That sounds like a good idea,” Kori agrees. “As for the Twilek, she just wandered off without saying goodbye. I can't say for certain where she is now.”
Imik will add, "If we cannot get near the Imperial shuttle, another option would be to try and access it through the Spaceport Control. Of course that might be even harder to get into. Too bad we don't have a droid...."
“Sorry, I don't have a droid handy.”

So it sounds like we are off to Landing Bay Besh in the land-speeder.
