Character profiles

Post by GM Fenrir »

Feel free to use this topic (by posting a reply) for what basic information and appearance anyone meeting your character is likely to notice. Don't give away any secrets that someone wouldn't learn within the first couple minutes of meeting your character. Any obvious quirks, speech patterns, important items of clothing always worn or other things are appropriate to post here, along with typical gear, weapons and armor one might see your character in. This is to help streamline meeting new characters in a forum setting as well as a place to easily refrence back to if you forget something about another character.

I will also use this topic for recurring NPCs and other people of importance so that everyone can remember who they were without me having to re-introduce them every time.

<Hmmm....okay, here I go....>

You see before you an armored figure, over 6' tall and muscular, dressed in fine plate mail (not ornate in any way but obviously well maintained by the owner) and wearing a great helm. He (for the stature and shape of the body appears male) is also wearing a fine cloak, boots, and gloves. Worn on the ring finger of his right hand (over the glove) is a signet ring with some kind of symbol which you can't make out at this distance.
Strapped to his back is a two-handed sword; plain but again obviously maintained with love and respect for his gear. On his right hip is a dagger, along with a dagger on his left thigh. These weapons are worn openly in their scabbards; it seems like there is no intent to hide them at all.

As you watch this figure before you, you witness him begin removing his great helm. Underneath you see a human male, probally in his late 20's, with shoulder length brown hair, brown eyes, and a light brown beard. His face appears serious, but not stern. But his eyes tell more. You see strength in those eyes, strength in his beliefs, yet kindness as well. This figure, like yourself and many of those around you, is capable of violence yet you just feel that he wouldn't be the one to start it. Is there something else you see in that face? Wonder & awe perhaps?

This armored stranger looks at you and begins walking in your direction. He seems to radiate a sense of calm and confidence as he strides forward. As he comes closer, with his helm under his left arm, he extends his right hand and smiles in a friendly and kind way, saying "Greeting and well met friend. I am Sir Rovach. I am honored to meet you."
"You are
what you do
when it counts."

Erizhetiana of Lotan -

(Moved the previous description to the actual post topic, now that it's started)

Erizhetiana of the House of Iltani is small of stature and slender. She reaches at most 5'2" tall and her skin was bronze in color. Her bright blue eyes are unusual for an Immatarian, and her dark curly locks extend nearly to her waist. Her hair is not only long, but quite full and often appears to have a life of its own. She was always seen with flawless make-up which accentuated her already beautiful features. Perfume of the highest quality wafted behind her where ever she went.

Normally she dressed in light clothes of expensive materials: silks and satins, often with detailed embroidery. She favors blues or white with blue most often, although other colors will slip into her wardrobe on occassion. She tended toward skirts and gowns, length dependent upon the occassion and the time of year and was often barefoot in the temperate clime of the Golden Archipegalo. When necessary, she would wear sandals of the highest quality and softest leather.

Erizhi is a noble of Lotan and as such is not shy in showing off her wealth, in her case in the form of jewelry and gems. She wore as much as she could afford. Earrings, a nose ring, pendants, necklaces, waist chains, bracelets, anklets, numerous rings on fingers and toes. She was limited to silver given her status as third child and not the gold that the truly wealthy of Immater sported, but her pieces were all quality and often were enhanced with expensive gems. Erizhi jangled and chimed with every step and with every movement. Every action by her was accompanied by soft, cheery music.

Erizhi often appeared aloof, but she was also always aware of what was happening. She was watching everything, she just didn't seem to care about most of it.

Swordswoman Stephanie stands a solid 6'0" in height and weighs 140 lbs. She is muscular and well-toned, but not overly so. Her eyes and hair are black and age wise she's in her late teens. Her looks are slightly above average, but otherwise unremarkable. Her armor and clothing are mostly plain.

Aesa of Rhidhelmark:

Before you stands a tall woman. Although she is not quite six foot, she isn’t far from it. Her body is well toned by someone used to manual labor, the muscle definition isn’t bulging but rather complementary to her stature. Her skin is pale like those of the northern lands and her long blond hair further confirms her origins. She wears it in several intricate braids, a few of which have long strands of supple black leather woven into the braids giving a striking contrast to the blond. Almost always hidden by her hair, a glimpse of slightly-pointed ears can be caught, causing one to think she has some elven blood in her ancestry. Her eyes are the grey of winter storm clouds and one wonders if she possesses mannerisms to match. Although not unattractive, she bears the weight of too many burdens and trials on her face, making her look older than her scant twenty years. In the rare instances that she genuinely smiles or laughs, all of that disappears and she is quite fetching.

Typically she wears her leather armor that has been oiled to reach a golden color. Unlike typical suits of leather, this armor is made up of many pieces all individually strapped to the body. When all pieces are present it offers full protection, but the unique design allows for removal of some of the armor for comfort in warmer climates or simply personal preference. Peeking out from under the armor along her left shoulder and collarbone is an intricate tattoo. The entire design can not be seen but it appears to be a series of interlocking circles or rings. A gold torc encircles her throat and ends with a pair of intertwining antlers. Beyond this, she wears no other jewelry. A half-skirt of rich brown fur, trimmed with an intricate pattern etched on leather, covers her right leg from hip to knee, leaving her left leg open and allowing for total freedom of movement. Thick leather gloves reach the elbow and tall leather boots that come up to the knee complete her outfit. Many of the armor pieces, as well as her gloves and boots, have circular or wave-like patterns etched into them.

A sword with a broad blade for cutting rather than thrusting is carried either slung over one shoulder or gripped in one hand, although it remains in its sheath regardless of the method. Colder weather will see her wearing a hooded cloak trimmed with the same brown fur that adorns her half skirt. This will be the only time she wears any sort of covering on her head.
That which must be done will be done.

Butternut:

Years of living in the wilderness has left Butternut lean and hard. Her face is far more angular than that of most halflings, and the usual plumpness of her people is no more than hinted at. Rows of tightly-braided, dark blonde hair hang to about her shoulders. Only her bright green eyes give any hint of the humor and frivolity for which her race is known, and even that is offset by a shadow of the horrors she has experienced. Her deep burgundy and charcoal gray leather armor has seen long use, but has been meticulously cared for. A short sword is sheathed on her left hip, and a dagger opposite it on her right. Two more daggers are strapped to the backs of her forearms. A sling is tucked into her belt, from which dangles a heavy-looking pouch. Like her armor, the practical, unornamented weapons appear to be in good repair.

Sir Redjak Fallowen is a tall man at nearly six foot two, well muscled but not overly massive in frame. He is adorned in an ancient but well-cared for and polished suit of bronze plate mail adorned with gold studs. A broad belt is around his waist with large studs encircling a massive ornate disk of gold. His left arm is heavily armored with plate, including a protective pauldron, while his right arm is mostly chain mail with only plate covering the upper arm. This is so that he can better use the long bow that is secured to his back, for even his right glove is not as heavy as the left. The lighter-armored arm allows for a quicker draw and firing of arrows. Several ornate and heavy belts are across his chest for holding bow, quiver and the massive sword swinging low in its scabbard. His custom helmet is more formed to his head than a typical plate helm. Constructed of two pieces, one is a skull cap while the other protects the nose, mouth and jaw. A hooded cape of a rich brown trimmed in gold is over the head and falls down his back. A clasp of gold in the shape of what appears to be an outstretched net keeps the cape in place at his shoulders. His boots are heavy, trimmed with fur and studded with gold. A final belt, this one slung below the waist line, secures an axe balanced for throwing to his person.

Pulling back the hood and removing the helm, Sir Redjak is a striking man with chiseled features. His skin is pale, seemingly as though the sun has not often touched it. His hair falls nearly to his shoulders, brown with a touch of red seen within. A neatly trimmed mustache of the same color frames the top and sides of his mouth, finally ending at the line of his jaw. Hazel eyes regard you for a moment before they turn from serious to friendly and he extends his lighter-armored hand in greeting of a male or uses it to present a flourishing bow to a lady.
For our family, our people, our kingdom, we will prevail!
